Sassy - congrats on ten years!
We celebrate five years in November!

I did an hour on the elliptical today, 5.6 miles. Next week I hope to do 65 minutes per day so I can hit six miles a day. Maybe it will give me the bump I need as the scale is not going down!

Sassy-Hope you had a wonderful birthday and anniversary.

Girlie-Way to go with keeping so strong with the exercise.

I have been kinda out of sync lately. My cousin posted a horrible looking pic of me at her wedding shower on her facebook page. Then my son has been asking me, everyday, "what are those fat things?" (asking about my belly). Some days it doesn't bother me so much, but today it really is. That picture made me cry & die inside. I did so it to a woman I work with and she said I don't really look like that. But, pics don't lie. I printed off the pic to use it as motivation.

I'm sorry about the picture. I'm sure you don't look as bad as you think or feel - we all feel worse about the way we look than we actually do, and we are harder on ourselves than others. If the picture motivates you, then use it. But if it just makes you sad to see it, use something else! A picture of myself wouldn't motivate me unless it was a skinny pic - I'd just feel bad to see a "fat" picture of myself. I'd rather use a smaller piece of clothing I haven't worn in a while, or a dress that I want to wear, etc. either way, you can do it, keep posting even if you're not on program. Helps with accountability.

Back to work eh? The first day might be rough, but you'll get back into it soon enough. I'm thinking about instead of taking a vacation, just taking a week off. Make a plan to get one thing done around that house that I've been putting off. Sigh...sounds so nice.


As for me, I am obviously not going to make my minigoal of 215 by October 1st! So far in September I've lost 3 pounds...but I'll take it! I took Saturday off of the gym - I usually take Sundays off but we had a doubledate for lunch yesterday and it skewed my day. So instead I got in a good workout today, Sunday. I did:

15 mins walking on treadmill - .75 miles
65 mins running on elliptical - 6.12 miles
.25 miles walking cooldown

I had a couple hours today so I took my time at the gym and sat in the steam room for a while, and deep conditioned my hair. It was nice. I wish I could do that every day. I could, but I'd have to get up really early. I plan to do 65 minutes/at least 6 miles on the elliptical each day this week. Maybe I can manage to go down a pound this week.

Unhappy Blah..........

Morning all............

Well lastnight/this morning is my first night back to work.............man it totally stinks coming back to work after being on vacation...................I am just not in a good mood at all..............No particular reason just not..........Well I do not feel well, that is one, I guess. But other than that just plain out don't wanna be here. Wanna go home and cuddle under the covers and sleep.

Well enough of my whining.........

Ugh, I understand, I understand. That's what scares me about taking a vacation and having to go back to work. I'm sorry!

I'm headed to the gym. I think I had a new high for distance yesterday. I ran on the elliptical for 65 minutes and hit 6.16 miles. I wonder if I can do 6.25 sometime? I guess that's my new goal. It slows me down a bit when I pedal backwards, so maybe eventually if I run forward for the whole 65 I can make it.

I kind of think I exercise a lot - I mean 5-6 days a week of such heavy cardio...it must be all this extra testosterone and PCOS issues that's causing me not to lose weight the way I FEEL I should.

Just wanted to update with my exercise for the day.
I met my elliptical goal above already - 65 minutes, 6.26 miles, a little over 13,500 steps. Wow. Don't think I can repeat that again tomorrow but I was sweating like crazy.
