Well, I went and had a little workout.
My friend needed inspiration to go work out and asked me to go to the Y with her, so I did and walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes, 1.75 miles. I hate the treadmill but that's what she wanted to do so I'm glad I did it. Wasn't too bad, I did some intervals and broke a good sweat. So I got in a little extra workout today.

Gotta get ready for tomorrow...

Sassy:
What do you do over night shift?
And what are the hours? So interesting, the hours!
It will be hard for you to get back after your vacation huh?

I didn't have a chance to update yesterday. I went to the gym and did my 60mins elliptical, 5.75 miles and stretched.

Today I'm going to go easy. I think I will use the stationery bike for 20, treadmill for 20 and then elliptical for 20. I dunno. I want to work on my thighs and if I pedal with my heels, that would give my thighs a good workout.

We're going "out of town" and spending the night at a newly opened hotel tonight...it's "homework" (I manage a hotel)...and then I'll check out their gym tomorrow before checkout.

I'm not sure if we're going to take the laptop, so if not, I won't be able to update until tomorrow.

Girlie-Awesome on the exercising! Nice homework assignment, I need one of those.

Sassy-Sounds like your having a relaxing vaca.

Last night, some girls and I went out after work. It was very much needed and I do feel a little better after. I needed a break from the DH and kiddies. My back has really been bothering me lately, don't know if it's from using the mini-tramp or not. I've been laying off of it the past few days to see. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

I need to think of some goals for myself....even though September is almost over!

I have 10 days left in September so I would like to lose 3 more pounds before the month is over

Prepare more meals for myself instead of going out to eat. I was on a good trend with packing my lunches and dinners for school and work but I have slipped. Yesterday I had chicken nuggets and french fries...I was so ashamed of the french fries I gobbled them down without hardly tasting them to get them out of the way. I could have not ordered them or thrown them out but they smelled too good! =(

Try to exercise at least 4 days, an hour each time within the next 10 days (my biggest problem is not fitting exercise into my schedule!)

That should be good for now...wish me luck!

xraygirl:
I like going out after work with the girls. And now there are so many "good" alcoholic choices, like Michelob Ultra and Miller Chill, lower calorie beers. Nothin' wrong with a couple of those (as long as I exercised that day!).

Raye:
We're on the same threads ha ha.
I think 3 pounds is a good goal for the end of Sept. I always shoot high and never make my goals. As long as the scale goes down each month and not up! I have a hard time packing meals too. Sometimes I compromise - like yesterday, I grabbed a side salad at Wendy's and I took it back to work and had tuna and 0 calorie spray dressing in the fridge to go with it. Very low effort. Usually we have peanut butter sandwiches on double fiber bread, high fiber granola bars and applesauce cups (no sugar added). And then I munch on almonds too. At night I try to focus on veggies and meat. Ps where in Illinois are you?

I went to the gym this morning and just did 45 minutes on the elliptical, did about 4.75 miles today. It was fast, but it was tough today...end of the week my muscles are burning and ready for a rest. Tomorrow is my day off, but I will check out the gym at our hotel tonight and do a light workout or go to the pool. I plan to order something nice through room service for dessert to share with the husband.

Have a good night!

Red face Happy Sunday Ya'All!!!

Hello all.

Thanks for the well wishes. Well we went to the Amish Bakery yesterday, it was neat, they had lots of things there, not just food! They had furniture, a mini-log cabin, gazebos, childrens playground stuff that was cool, it was awesome and as DH said, an awesome drive up there, very pretty. We stopped and Great Steak and Potato after, as we both haven't had that in a long time, we only each ate 1/2 our sandwich and 1/2 a small fry. I told him, "We are pathetic, maybe next time we should order a "Happy Meal" " in which he replied to me, "you still wouldn't finish that either." Ahhh it was a good feeling though.

Girlie -- I work in a callcenter at night. We are 24/7 x 365 days a year, as I always say, "We are like Waffle House, we never close!" lol. My hrs are 9 PM - 9:30 AM Sunday - Tues and every other Wed. So one week I work 34.5 hrs and the next I work 46 hrs. Its confusing to people who do not work it..... Yeah it will be a little hard to go back to nights again next week, but its worth it. We can't do a whole lot at night time, everything is geared towards the daytime because that is what most "normal" folks work and are awake. lol. Have fun on your "homework"

Xray -- I am having a very relaxing vaca. Woohoo on the girls night out. I am thinking of doing that too, me and my new coworker and another co worker of ours all get along pretty well, so I was thinking about seeing if they would like to do a "girls night out" one time........

Raye -- Thats my goal too, after vaca. lol. I think I have been doing very well though, even if I have eaten some "wrong foods" I just take my time and eat very very slow and savor every bite, it truly does help fill me up faster!

Raye-Sounds like good, realistic goals. I can definately relate with bringing lunches to work. I do really good for a while and then I quit. Usually, I need to run to the grocery store, but sometimes it's difficult to find the time to do even that.

Girlie-I forgot about the Miller Chill, I really do enjoy that one. I actually had some fancy mixed drink, but I only had one. I did eat some cheese fries with it, not so good. But, I haven't been out in sooooo long. I got right back on board the next day.

Sassy-The Amish Bakery sounds nice. I have always wanted to visit one. There really isn't nothing like that down here.

My mom's birthday is today. We are having a cookout. I can usually do fairly well at cookouts, hamburgers and hotdogs aren't really my thing. The cake, well that may be another story.

Raye - I'm in Peoria, so about 2.5 hours away.

xray - sounds like a good time out. we really need those sometimes. my weakness is the amazing onion rings at the bar where we go. how was the cookout?

Sassy - I worked in a call center for almost six years - fortunately, I never had to work on one of the 24hr accounts!

I'm headed to the gym now, thought I'd give an update before I go. I didn't exercise at the hotel yesterday, I usually take Sundays off and I didn't want to get burned out. Their equipment was blah. But we did take about a mile walk along the river front on Saturday night. Then we went back to the room and ordered chocolate cake through room service. It was OK, I had a few bites. If I'm going to go crazy off plan, it's gonna be for something really good.

Here's to starting a great week all. I hope to see some movement on the scale this week.

Girlie-The cookout was okay. I did eat a cheeseburger and felt yucky the rest of the night. I did eat a couple bites of cake. My son ate the rest luckily.

I'm getting back on the mini-tramp tonight since my back is so much better. I caught a glimpse of myself last night in a window reflection. Ouch!!!!! You never really see it until you SEE IT!

Hello Ladies, how's it going?

Ah, sigh...another Monday is over with. Good news, I got new shoes that I ordered in the mail. They are a cute pair of mary janes by the brand softspots - "comfort" shoes, but they come in really cute styles now. I'm on my feet all day, seriously, I never sit in the office, I'm always running around in the hotel lobby taking care of something and I've had some bad issues with my feet. These are very cushioned inside and still about a 2 inch heel so stylish. If I have great luck with these this week, I'll order a pair in brown too.
I love heels but it's not worth the pain to me.

I did only 50 minutes this morning on the elliptical. I was grumpy this morning because some skinny girl was on my usual machine. I like to use the same machine so I can keep track of my stats and they'll be more accurate from day to day. So anyway I was really grumpy and my workout felt hard. so I did 50 minutes, 4.25 miles...the rpms were slower than usual. It was hard to stay above 200 steps per minute today. Oh well.

Talk to you guys tomorrow.

Red face Hola

Hola Chicas!

We started to go out yesterday but I started feeling bad....... So we went home and I went to bed and slept like 6 hrs! I dunno what the bleep is wrong w/ me lately! All I wanna do is SLEEP!!! I know that vacations are for relaxing, but this is ridiculous!!!!! Have I really run myself down that much??? We did manage to make it over to the in-laws and even my mil said I looked tired.........I guess work has taken it out of me......... But I am thankful to have a job to make me tired, lemme tell ya. We saw this poor man standing on the side of the highway with a sign and ya I know there are loads of people out there who do it who do not need the $$, but he looked sooooooooo in need ya'all. DH asked if I had any cash and I had a $1..........So we gave it to him and you'd think we'd given him 1 million $$.....

Well in less than 24 hrs I will be another yr older.....woopeee...lol. And I am STILL battling my insurance for my two prescriptions. They are really really frustrating me! Yes I am thankful I do have health insurance, but geez.....I pay for it and all they do is deny, deny, deny.........UGH drives me NUTS! Okay off my now........lol.

Xray -- The bakery was nice, but we ate some of the stuff we bought from there, not so good. I guess that is good...........lol. But it was a very neat place........I hope your mom had a great bday.........I dread mine tomorrow......(24th) but whatcha gonna do? Can't stop the aging process. lmao.

Girlie -- 6 yrs wooooo man you were a "Veteran" lol. Not many people stay very long at callcenters, oh we have a few "nuts" who have been there for 10, 15, 20 yrs. lol. I am coming on 3 yrs myself and I have about had it already! lmao. Ya I'm one of the lucky lucky ones who deals with 24 hr. accounts. Mainly because we deal with all accounts, well most of all of them. lol.

Anywho.........I sure hope that you all are doing well.

Good Morning, all! Sorry I didn't update yesterday. Yesterday I did an hour on the elliptical but went a little easy from a headache, I did 5.64 miles. If I can get there on time, I want to do 60 minutes again.

Whoo Thursday! I have a half day tomorrow and a long-ish weekend ahead!

Sassy - happy birthday! And I love your icons! Yeah I worked for a large call center for almost 7 years and moved my way to the corporate office there. I learned a LOT. It was great.

Gotta run all - update soon!

Thanks Girlie. My bday, yesterday, was a great one, even though I had to get another year older. lol. We were out all day yesterday celebrating my bday and the night before we went out with friends. Today I have just stayed home and done NOTHING! lol. DH is at our friends putting down new flooring! lol. He wants me to come over, I am like, "NO WAY!!" lol. I am liking having the time alone........lol. Tomorrow is my 10 yr. Wedding Anniversary............No big plans. Infact if it were up to me, I'd just like to stay home and "celebrate" lol.
