ok first allow me to confess … I ate the cheese off of the smallest slice of pizza. It was quite tasty I have to admit. But I still followed my no bread and didn't eat the crust, so I'll give myself a thumbs up. Now with that said, had I not ate that at about 10pm last night I may have been down another point two :D I am still wanting potato chips though, can't win this head game, smh. :)
Jacqui, he is doing really well or so he says. I'm really shocked, this boy eats continuously, smh. MS. JACQUI at the rate you are going I am always gonna be trying to catch you ;) but that's good  You are doing great :high: Pamela enjoy your Faturday :) Missy, LOL that's what I thought but since he created the rule of only liquid he liquified it, yuck :barf: and to ruin the looks of that beautiful creation  Good job on the 140's :high: I can't wait to get through these decades … day dreaming :D Gary, I am so trying to bust that 170's mark. I honestly think you will do it before me. You are doing really well and your discipline is just off the chart. I guess when we really want something we really work for it … so I've got to want it more. I'm not slipping up thank goodness, but I owe that all to my faith … I've said it before, it's a shame that I can't be this loyal to myself. But I'm all for doing this with you and Jacqui, because I will be trying to catch up to you both :D dt, Joe and halee Hope you are doing ok  I finally ate a piece of chicken. If my son were eating it would have been gone by now but there was one thigh left so I ate it. Thank goodness we had run out of Season All or it would have been too salty for me. I had a slight stomach ache this morning so I didn't eat anything I just drank two travel cups of green tea until lunch time. Hi everyone! Just catching up. Been a busy week- and YEAH! I've been sleeping! :) ... that is until now. Sat morning and I woke up too early. :( I hate when that happens! Hoping to fall back to sleep for a few hours. House is still quiet.
Congrats on all the losses! WOW! 7 LBS Twotots! That's awesome! I'd give you one of those little dancing high-five guys if I could figure out how to do it on my Kindle! :) I finally got my daughter to start a weight loss program, which she really needs but I haven't been able to get her to do, but she won't do a low carb/slow carb thing. She did agree to go to Weight Watchers though so I went with her Wednesday night. Kind of funny- I got a 5 lb weight loss star sticker when they were giving out awards, but I told them this couldn't be right because it was my first weigh-in, but they said the computer is never wrong. Hmmm... I work with computers daily so know that's not true! Turns out it was true this time though because I weighed in more than 5 lbs less than last time I weighed in with WW over a year ago! Pamela- I have tried many of the Walden Farms products when doing the Ideal Protein diet. They are really big on that diet. Most have no carbs or calories which I found suspicious and fake-foodie. Some are ok and some are completely disgusting! Many on IP eat what they call Big Mac in a bowl which is ground beef, lettuce, onions, pickles, and the Walden Farms Thousand Island dressing as the special sauce, and that's pretty good, especially with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese! Other dressings, like the coleslaw dressing, I find not great on their own but ok with another dressing to half the calories by stretching the higher cal/carb dressing. I also don't care for the syrup much but ate it anyway when eating the IP pancakes. (YUK!) Dang! I want to be in the race to break 170s! I'm. Just trying to get into the 170s! Hoping this week. Think I'll start weighing myself daily again starting tomorrow because I have no idea where I'm at on my scale. I weighed 186 on the WW scale on Wed but last weighted 181 on my home scale and last weighed 183 on the IP scale at end of Dec. Willnhave to weigh in on the WW scale every Wed for as long as I can keep my daughter on the program which unfortunately weighs more because they won't let me take my clothes offf like at home! Can't blame 'em there! :) |
Still not back to sleep so the rambling continues...
Went shopping to stock the house up for the WW diet to make things as easy as possible for my daughter to stay with the program and I am freaked about all the carbs in the house like thin breads, etc.! Most are at least whole grain products but I'm still afraid to eat them. Been off carbs for the most part for a few months now and I really LOVE CARBS! So my mind has sirens going off with "Danger Will Robinson...!" Even though I'm going to WW with my daughter, I plan on doing a slow carb type diet,so hope it's cool to hang out here vs just a WW thread. I mean, they probably don't have anyone talking about piazza smoothies! OMG!!! That had me laughing so hard! That's sooooo boy! |
sunlover it's : dance : altogether of course that will give you the little white fluff guy or for the carrot : carrot : :) I forgot about the big mac in a bowl but I would just use regular 1000 island the carbs aren't that bad. I've had taco in a bowl (actually on a plate) delicious and I think salsa is free if I recall right. I'll have to add those back in next month :) … you can definitely get in on 170's race, the more the merrier :) … I'll be right here, now Gary, huh I believe he will be long gone into the 160's at a blink of an eye ;) Glad your daughter has joined you at WW. My son is working with me on this journey for now … I like having someone in the house to do it with. :)
I'm hoping my scale will move before the month is out  Have a great day Everyone  stay warm, it's cold this morning :brrr: Week 3 of 5 15 ~ 172.2 (+0.4) 16 ~ 172.2 (N/C) 17 ~ 172.0 (-0.2) 18 ~ 172.2 (+0.2) Looks like 172 is my number  |
Okay, still not asleep...
Missy - I agree, sometimes you lose more in inches than pounds. Where are you going in the Caribbean? I LOVE THE CARIBBEAN!!! Especially during Spring when it is still winter in Montana. It's winter a long time in Montana and we usually have a Spring trip planned to help me survive it, but too broke this year after Hawaii and NYC trips last year. Also saving for my daughter"s b-day trip in Dec to Disney World. Been there many times but never at Christmas and she really wants to see it all decked out for the holidays. May also go to England this summer but that's not exactly the sunny vaca I'm craving! I'm originally from So Cal so still miss the sun and beach, and still struggle with long winters. I should really start a tropical themed art project since I can"t go there now. You'll have to tell us about your trip Missy so we can live it vicariously through you! |
Just missed you Rennie. : dance. Thanks! Had to try it!
You're right, it's so much easier to diet with someone else in the house. Hubby is supportive, and will eat a lot of veggies, but he stills loves his sweets! |
Dang! It didn't work.
:dance |
Nope still didn't work, so guess you all will just a :) from me
|
Sunlover, ramble away, lol! And of course we want you to post here! Btw, I would definitely go by your home scale, since like you said, at WW you weigh with clothes on and I assume it's later in the day after you've eaten, etc. I think it is absolutely wonderful that you are being so supportive of your daughter's weight loss choice! And I know it's hard to have carbs in the house. My hubby is finally cutting back on carbs after seeing the amount of weight I've lost but cutting back for him is still eating carbs, just not as much, so we still have lots of carbs in the house. Let me just tell you, if I can do this, so can you! You're going to be racing to get out of the 170's before you know it! :cheer:
Sunlover, put a colon on both sides of the word to get it to become an icon, so : dance : only put the colons right next to the word, not spaced apart. Some of the words I use a lot are hug (for the two smilies hugging) high (for the high five), carrot (dancing carrot), broc (for the dancing broccoli), cp (for clap), cheer (for the little cheerleader), cheers (for the two smilies toasting each other), dancer (for the little smiley with shades on, dancing), spin (for the smiley face spinning in circles), hungry (for the smiley ready to eat with knife and fork) and congrat (for congratulations) just to name a few. Rennie, I'm so proud of you for not eating the crust of that pizza and for resisting potato chips! Great job! :high: I hope your stomach ache has gone away! And you know, I hope this is not the case for you because I don't want you to become frustrated, but 172 might be a set point for you. Some people don't believe in set points (a weight at which your body tends to settle, where it comes back to naturally) but I definitely do. My last set point was 177. If I stopped dieting, I know that's the weight my body would head to and where it would settle. If I continued to push it, upped my calories even more, it'd eventually head for my next set point up, 197, and if I pushed it past that, my highest set point was 210. When I wasn't dieting, I lingered at 197 and then 210 for years. I can't remember if I was at 177 for years because it was so long ago, but I'm sure it was at least for a number of months to a year. I seem to remember 155 being a set point for a number of years but it's possible it was actually 157. Pixikat mentioned that they occur every 20 pounds for her and I'd say that's about right for me too (although 197 and 210 weren't a full 20 lbs apart so maybe it varies). The good thing about your body making adjustments for a new set point on the way down is that it's like your body is accepting you are at a lower weight now, and I think that's awesome! :carrot: So I am never too bothered by a set point stall on the way down. For me it usually takes about 4 weeks for my body to adjust to the newly created set point, and after that, I start losing again. I just stick to plan and wait it out! At some point, I think we all hit set points. I think it's just how our bodies work, and it is possible that 172 is a set point for you. If so, just stay on plan and wait it out! You WILL get past it! Gary, congrats on the continued drop down! You are on fire! :flame: Broccoli and chili sounds pretty good actually. You must have a very strong digestive tract! I agree with you on counting calories. I think a low-carb diet is pretty automatically a low-calorie diet. Missy, that sounds like my kind of math, lol! In any event, you made it to the 140's! :congrat: Have a great cheat day today! Pamela, I agree, everyone here is so nice and supportive and it's a great thread to be a part of! :grouphug: TwoTots, I hope you had a yummy cheat day! :T |
