Just tried yogurt for the first time.

  • For some reason, the Edit button isn't working for my previous post. I wanted to change the part about the Yoplait Whips. You'd get more in a dairy serving for the SAME caloies by eating a scoop of regular ice cream (not Haagen Dazs, which has more fat than most, but any regular brand).
  • Every once in a while for me the Edit button totally freezes up and won't work. Generally if I wait a few minutes and hit reset the page, it will work. Just one of the flukes of cyberspace I think.

As for yogurt, I love the stuff. But I won't eat the sugar free ones because I avoid artificial sweeteners as much as possible. However, yogurt is sooooooo good and I never eat dessert at ALL or any junk food -- so my daily yogurt to me is worth the calories! But LOL it sure would NOT be if I didn't really like it.
  • I LOVE yogurt! The tangy-ness is actually what I like about it.

I do need to think about getting some plain yogurt and going the fresh fruit route. I used to eat the "light" varieties but am trying to cut down on sugar substitutes and eat more natural and organic foods so I have been eating the Stonyfield and Horizon varieties. Since the non-light yogurts are many times the "fruit on the bottom" types I had a childhood flashback recently when I ate one. When I was a kid I would never mix the fruit in... I would just eat the yogurt on top and then the fruit last. Thats why I am thinking I could just go with the plain and be OK

I do agree that the yoplait whips are very tasty but they are just 4oz and I would rather get more bang for my yogurt buck... Do those even have the probiotics in them?
  • Thanks for the tip re the Edit button, Misti.

I just had a very good-for-me lunch with a dessert of Turkey Hill Frozen Yogurt (Neopolitan) -- tastes just like ice cream.

Now I've GOT to get out of the house before I go looking for something else to eat.
