Default Need support.

In 2006 I lost weight with great success on MRC. Since then it has been an ongoing battle up and down resulting in gaining it all back plus more. I am hoping to do it again with the help of this forum and without having to join the center. I ordered my products on line and will begin on Monday. The piece I will be missing is the accountability. This is where I will be relying on your help. Anyone out there want to join in with giving support to one another? I could use someone to be accountable to.
I am in a bad place. I feel like i have become my own worst nightmare and that thought makes me give u before I begin. I am really hating myself right now. I want to make this time different from the 5000 times I have tried to get this weight off and have failed.
I can't take looking/ feeling like this anymore.
Thanks for letting me vent.

Lala - I think we'll all be here for you and help you. You should post your meals on the OP Menu thread and let people give you feedback. Of course, don't hesitate to ask any questions or voice your concerns. We are all going through the same weight loss journey.

Good luck!

Welcome Lala!

I've been on 3FC and the Metabolic Research Center forum for a little over a month. This group of ladies is great. Lots of information, inspiration, support, accountability, whatever. Jump into the conversation in the monthly thread (August) if you haven't already and you'll find out what I'm talking about.

Good luck on the changing your lifestyle journey!

I also had great success years ago w/ the MRC diet. I also restarted in June from memory and the copies of the menus from a friend. I just woke up and told myself that if I wasn't going to do something, then I was going to nothing! I have done really well making myself accountable, but I am also on a plateau, lol. But I am not giving up hope or control. I have NO support from my family, infact they always try to sabatoge me. They say to weight twice a week at the same time, but I weight myself every morning. This helps me make adjustments if I am eating to much of the same things every day. I also try to eat fish a few times a week.

I rely alot on the postings in this website because everyone is here from the same goal and can offer GREAT support when I need it most!!! Good luck and keep us informed of all your success!

Each and every day is a new day and a chance to start fresh. Try to focus on this one day, not the failures you've had in the past. Good luck!

Hey Lala:
I'd love to have some accountability too. I lost 40 pounds on MRC last year and after some family drama at Christmas and the first of the year, I gained it all back, and plus some. I have just been kind of aimlessly doing nothing, but thinking about it all the time and beating myself up. I pulled all of my MRC stuff out this morning and am ready to go to the grocery store tonight to get the stuff I need to try to get off the caffeine and processed foods. I'm going to do that for a week until i get serious on the MRC beige plan.

You'll love it here. Everyone is so helpful. We are all in the same boat and are working toward the same goal. Each day brings new challenges, but that's what life is all about. You'll do great. Welcome

Lala...I am new to posting but have been reading the site before I got my nerve up to post. I started last May '10 and have done really well. I have lost 60 plus pounds and feel great and I need to lose 30 more but lately I have stalled myself. My time is up mid Sept. and I am wondering if I need to resign. I am torn about the accountability also. I am going to do my best before my time is up to lose as much as I can. One meal at a time.

Thanks all. Will begin tomorrow. D u think I can jump right in without pre conditioning? I do not recall how to do that part. Any tips, pointers on my first week back? Got period today so my weight may be off a bit but at least my major cravings should be out of the way for the next few weeks or so.

Lala:
I think the preconditioning depends on how many bad habits you may have picked up. I have picked up a couple with Diet Dr. Pepper and chocolate that I'm going to have to work on a little this first week.

Lala, this board saved me while I was losing! You'll find lots of support here.

Good luck, and remember to take it one day at a time. We can do anything for a day!

There are many great posters here. Preconditioning is helpful to slowly get off the sugar, carbs, caffeine, etc without too many withdrawals. Many of us lost several pounds on a week of preconditioning. I recommend it.

Hi Lala , I'm doing the same. Did you complete the program last time? I'm going to try and do it with alternative protein drinks this time, we'll see how that goes. U sound exactly like me, very similar story and starting weight. I wish you well and I look forward to going through this journey with you and all the others.
