I actually was .5 below goal. I'm so thrilled as I have 3 weeks before stabilization to lose a little more. I would like to get to 155 by the time I start maintenance, which I think is a realistic goal--it's just 6.5 more pounds.
THAT IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't it feel so good, you doing what I am doing tiring to get a few more off before the big stabilization

Hey Aspen! I finally figured out this was you since you put your name in your post! I am taking the cortitrim and I believe it has helped me esp. the area above my belly button. I still have the little baby bump tummy fat that I can't seem to get rid of, but it has gotten a lot smaller! I may need to go on extreme makeover to get that to go away entirely...ha!

I went to WI this morning. I did TANITA today. I have lost an additional four pounds of fat, but have lost almost 7 pounds of muscle. I have also lost 6-1/2 more inches. I can't remember what this brings my total to.

I am concerned about the 7 pounds of muscle. They suggested more exercise and increasing my HNS to five per day. I am averaging three time a week in exercise right now.

Has anyone had success with this or have this problem?

I was down three pounds since Monday so I broke through my short (luckily) plateau.

Finz: That is so awesome! Congratulations.

Did you lose 90 lbs in 10 months?

dla: I have problems with that too. Our height is the same so I bet our build is also. I don't know what type of exercise you're doing but I truly believe it makes a difference. I saw a larger drop in muscle mass once I started exercising 4x week compared to when I wasn't exercising at all (which initially seemed crazy to me). Don't let anyone tell you "you can turn the fat into muscle". You can't. I upped the HNS for a while & also started adding a little bit of weight training. I also upped my water & made certain I didn't skip my flax or multi-vitamin - which happened frequently. The next month my lean mass was only .5 lbs above where it was supposed to be. I wouldn't worry too much about it if it only happened this month. With a few adjustments, you'll be fine next month.

Here is an article I found interesting on muscle & fat:

Went to WI this week & was only -1.5. "A loss is a loss" & 1.5 is better than zero lbs!
Hopefully, I'll hit my first goal of 60 lbs by the end of November. I started to use meal replacement bars & I hope they help me with a bigger number for next week. We shall see!

Just prayed for your daughter and you. I was scared for my daughter's health at one time also so I can relate to what you are going through. There's nothing worse than worrying about our children. I'll continue to pray until we know she is ok!

Although they said there should be some good deals in the mountains this winter for us Front Rangers! YEAH! Now we just need some snow.

lv2ski2004/Tina: My husband and family all have passes to Copper. My handle should be "lv2shop" or "lv2read", as I am definitely not a skier. And you are right about needing snow...it's in the 70s today, so definitely Indian summer.

Finz: WHOOPEE! You should feel so proud of yourself! Look how far you've come and how hard you've worked to get there. You have been an inspiration to all of us.

dla: Congrats on busting out of the plateau and getting rid of 6.5 more inches. Hope someone (Meemo, maybe?) will have an answer to your question on losing muscle.

bfatnomore: You're right...a loss is a loss and so much better than a gain or staying the same. I've got my fingers crossed you reach your goal by the end of November.

Judy, do you ski? Ron and I have bought the "Epic" pass this year and plan to rent a place near Vail for the month of January. It would be awesome to get to meet you if you will be out there. We "senior" chicks could burn up the trails together.

It seems that my "before" photo has a lot in common with yours. We're both wearing jeans and we've lost around the same amount of weight. After we look and feel so much better and take more pride in our appearance.

Tina, although we live in Kansas we'll be coming out for at least a month this winter to ski. Maybe we can arrange to ski together. We bought the Epic pass good at Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, and Breckenridge.

Now is the time to lose the 6.5 additional pounds. Once you reach stabilization you immediately start to stabilize. Now I wish I had kept going because it's so much harder to start again. I only was 4 from my goal but I never lost it once I started adding the foods back in.
