By all means drink your tea. If its unsweetened, drink away, you can count it towards your water. I could not survive without my iced tea and my coffee. Powerade zero is also wonderful. You can have diet pop, just try to keep it at a minimum, due to the sodium. One of my favorite "treats" is to take a vanilla shake or pudding, throw it in the blender with 3-4 ice cubs and a can of diet root beer, and its just like a root beer float. But tea is fine, go for it!
We are going to Party Cove in the Ozarks Aug 1 and to Cancun in December, I'm hoping to be down 35 pounds by the Ozark trip and in maintenance by Cancun.
(I am planning to not be totally on plan during the Ozark trip, just do the best I can, my coach will be there with me, so we'll keep each other honest and in line!)

I'm thinking about going to Isla Mujeres in July it's right next to Cancun but not in the city...I need to lose about 10-15 pounds by then though if that's the case!

I am freaking starving right now...I hope I can stick through this!! Talked with my coach today that was awesome! She seems amazing I need to just devote myself 100% for the next three days because I messed up a bit today again...so frustrating. My coach said I just need to get through the first 3-4 days and I'll be ok. UGH! Any advice?

STAY BUSY..that way you won't be "thinking about food as much.
Eat SLOWLY. Cut the bars up into pieces. Set your spoon down between bites of your oatmeal, pudding, soup, etc. It really does work to help you slow down. I know when I first opened my first packet I thought, "You've got to be f-in kidding, that's ALL I get to eat?" In fact I told my husband, "See that little box in the porch? That's 90% of the food I get to eat in the next 30 days!"
Drink TONS of fluids. If you need to have a snack, 2 dill pickle spears, sugar free jello, sugar free popsicle, something like that.
If it gets really hard, split your lean and green into two meals.
Hope this helps!!!

Oakfield, my favorite L&G is fajitas. I bought a grill basket, if you don't have one, GET ONE! I marinate steak, chicken breast or shrimp, whatever I feel like, in a tsp of fajita seasoning (the little envelopes of them you can get at the grocery store, one packet gets me through SEVERAL meals) add 1 T olive oil and about 1/3-1/2 cup of water. Then I slice up green and red peppers, sometimes I add scallions, sometimes mushrooms and throw it all in the basket then grill it. If I need more green I put it all on a bed of lettuce when I'm done and top it with a T or two of salsa. I could eat it every day! The Cauliflower crust pizza is AMAZING, too.
The shrimp fajitas are my fave, cuz seriously, 7 ounces of cooked shrimp is heck of a lot of shrimp!

Do you just put your grill basket in the grill then Jillybean? That sounds amazing I just don't have a grill Gotta love being a broke college student..

As for today..I have done 100% OP!!! FInally!!! My first day I'm so excited!! Although I think I used a little too much butter on my mushrooms but I drained pretty much all of it out when they were done cooking. I also drank a TON of tea today hopefully that's ok...I know they say not to have too much caf. but I didn't listen..I was WIRED haha but it's just so much easier than drinking straight water. This week I'm challenging myself to being 100% OP. I know I can do it!!

Hi all! Can I join you? I started medifast mid-May, lost a good 8-9 lbs. It was fast at first and now SLOW - primarily b/c I'm cheating here and there and everywhere. I'm on vacation until Tuesday - so that will be my official "get real" date for me.

SO happy to see the MF boards picking up, they were QUIET for a while so I stopped checking in - yay that you're all here and posting!!!

I'm sitting here watching my hubby and 2 boys eating grilled cheese sandwiches! I've already had my l & g today, and only have 1 more "meal" to have today! I'm not hungry, but its killing me! Like I said earlier this is my 6th week, but Friday was my first day of 5 & 1. Its not bad I just want something to chew on I guess! What do yall do when this happens?

um...that is hard! I try and drink something even if I treat myself to a "diet" pop of some kind...that helps sometimes although not the chewing part! You could always keep a popsicle or other small treat around that you can have since you can have one treat a day! That sometimes helps. I am really on my 2nd day OP but I've been trying since this past Tuesday! I'm sure others will have better ideas than I do but hopefully mine help in the mean time! Have you been on mymedifast.com yet? Those forums people usually reply extremely quickly and there are some really awesome advanced people on the program that have amazing ideas. Awesome job though for sitting there and not giving in! That's a challenge in and of itself!

Thanks for the recipe does it follow the L & G restrictions? I was just worried about the cheese and stuff? Everything else looks good! Anyways, just thought I'd ask

I have the breakdown on the cauliflower crust pizza, as far as how its fits in the L&G. The cheese, as long as its 2% is a meatless option for lean and green, as is the egg beaters. I will post the recipe and breakdown once I find it. Yes, you just put the grill basket on the grill, the recipe would work the same in a skillet or a wok.
I weighed in again today, 3 weeks into the program and I have lost 14 pounds! It feels so good to pull a pair of jeans right out of the dryer and not struggle to put them on! Ha!

CAULIFLOWER PIZZA!

CRUST:
1/4 cup Egg Beaters (1/8 Lean)
3/8 cup (which = 1/4 cup + 2 Tbs.) 2% low fat shredded Mexican 4 cheese variety for a
firmer crust (3/8 lean)
1 cup Fresh Raw Cauliflower and then shred in a food processor (2 greens)
Dash of Italian spices (optional)

Mix together and put into a Pam sprayed foil pie pan. Pat down so it all sticks together.
Bake 20 min at 450 till it starts to turn brown then flip it over and bake another 10 minutes. I made 4 crusts at a time so that I can freeze them and have a quick pizza if I'm low on time.

TOP WITH:
2 tsp Ragu Pizza Quick sauce - it's only .5g of sugar (2 condiments)
1/4 cup 2% low fat shredded Mozzarella cheese (1/4 lean)
1/4 cup of the Morning Star Sausage crumbles (1/4 lean)
1/2 cup of veggie - bell peppers, mushroom, etc. (1 green)

Put back in oven for about 10 minutes so that the cheese melts.

This is an absolutely DELICIOUS change for a lean and green!!!
I steam my cauliflower first, makes it much easier, and I usually use turkey pepperoni or ground turkey instead of the crumbles. I was raised and still continued to live on a cattle farm. I'm starting to be a fan of ground turkey, of course its not quite the same as ground beef, but I just can't stomach "veggie crumbles."
