So far, i haven't had problem with irregularities but then again it has only been 6 days... My only real problem is gas... some foods make it a lot worst like the Cream of Chicken soup... My body seems to not like it for some reason... lol Oh well! It is in all my favorite recipes (Tuna patties, grilled cheese sandwich, biscuits)... so I guess i will just be passing gas for a while... Lol I absolutely love these recipes so i am not gonna avoid them... Anyone in the same boat?

Good morning from springlike Delta! I feel I should be out there behind the barn planting peas and chard! Such weird weather but I'll take it.

No weightloss overnight - yes, I am a scale ho! Today I get a haircut so am expecting at least 5 pounds off by tomorrow. I'm taking along a cranberry/mango drink for my mid-morning snack. Very handy! I'm out of bars and am debating whether or not to re-order them. They are just too handy!

Gotta dash and tiddle up a bit for town. I wouldn't want the, to think I was from the country!

Okay, I need some reassurance. I'm onto day four, and my weigh in day is on Thursday (today) so I weighed myself, and I've gained. I have not cheated at all (I even measure out the bbq sauce I eat with my chicken). I'm up to 174. How in the world is it possible to gain four pounds in four days when eating less than 1000 calories a day? I'm only eating one bar a day, and I've been moderately active. I'm drinking lots of water, too.
I do go to yoga classes twice per week, which are heated, so I sweat my behind off (I wish I could use that term literally...). Do you think that could cause me to retain water?
I'm so discouraged!

I am kind of confused... There has to be something wrong for you to be gaining weight... I am on day 6 and I have lost 5.2 lbs so far... Is it the bad time of the month or something? If we can't answer you, you might want to go on mymedifast.com and ask the nutritionnists there... Sorry

By the way, I did not know that we were allowed barbeque sauce... Was that sugar free?

Thanks! My Take Shape For Life book says that we are allowed 1/2 teaspoon of bbq sauce as a condiment serving, so I thin it down with some water and eat it with chicken. I don't know what it can be, it's not my TOM. I'm pretty frustrated. Maybe I'll try to talk to one of the nutritionists...becuase I have been absolutely starving and thought that I would have at least lost water weight...so strange.

Wow, SHELLESQ . . . that is definitely the first time I've every heard that from any MF'er. Weird . . . hope you are not allergic to soy and it's causing water retention or something equally as nasty. Good luck.

Well gang . . . look at this . . . I got here two days in a row. Things are starting to slow down a bit on the work-front.

Keep things moving and shaking today everybody . . . see you later . . .

ShellESO, the same thing happens to me, weird weight gain. It's discouraging, makes me feel like geez I could binge and gain why am I suffering. BUT, it has and will drop off!! When it happens to me I make sure I am eating the leanest veggies recommended by medifast. I also don't have a legal snack. Also, if I'm not regular, I will gain 3 or 4 pounds. Stay strong, it will happen!!

Carol, I just read your post. Your weight loss is fantastic and an inspiration! I can't wait to lose this extra baggage. I carried a 50 pound dog food up a flight of stairs and I thought to myself, good grief, I'm lugging this much weight every day by being overweight, no wonder my knees hurt. Sunday is weigh-in day, I'm getting nervous and trying to prepare myself just in case there is little or no weight loss.

Hello all! I joined 3FC 3 years ago and somehow never posted! I'm trying to win some Medifast on eBay so I can

1. Try to save money. (I'm a poor second time around college student.)
2. I want to try some and see what I can tolerate!

You all have been a great inspiration!

Now, I HATE shopping in "regular people's" stores, because I just don't belong there. I can't fit anything. I see all these 24-yr-old size ZEROS out there, and the sizes only go up to 12 and sometimes 14 and rarely a 16 and if you are LUCKY, an 18. But not very often. There MIGHT be an XL there, but gosh darn it, how DEPRESSING NOT to fit an XL.
BUT, I think I'll give it a try. After all, I've lost on this diet, and how physically big can I really be at 5'7" and 172lbs.
Keep in mind, all that at one time not so long ago, I was a size 20-22 and my highest recorded weight was 243lbs.
SO, I go to Addition-Elle and check out the clothes. I feel great there, because I am now an X or 1X, I think. I try on some jeans, and start with an 18. Then a 16. Then a 14. And they don't FIT. I AM TOO SMALL.
What the...??? They don't FIT???
So I head over to a regular store, and figure, well, I'll start here at size 18 because seriously, vanity sizing DOES exist, so maybe in a regular store, I'll be back in my normal size of 18 because lets FACE it, I'm in my own mind, completely HUMONGOUS.
So, I try an 18. Then a 14. Then a 12.
THE 12 FITS. And fits NICELY.
So I push my luck.
THE 10 FITS. A bit SNUG, but I don't have to lie down on my back and suck in my gut to zip it up thus creating the world's largest muffin top! And no camel toe, either! (hahahaha!)
SO I BUY THEM. After doing my happy dance.
I then head over to pick up a dress for a warm vacation I am going on. I find a beautiful one which is one of those gauzy, floaty ones that slips on, with no zippers or anything.
Again, I try an 18. Then a 16. Then a 14. Then a 12. The 12 is fine, but these are supposed to be loose, right?
I think -- let's just push the envelope.
I try a 10. IT FITS!!! O. M. G. IT FITS!!!
So I think -- keep pushing the envelope.
I try the SMALLEST one they have in stock, which is a SIZE. 8.
THE GD THING FITS!!!! IT LOOKS NICE!!!!!
SO I BUY IT. After doing my happy dance.
WHAT. A. DAY.
And this will happen to you guys, too -- just keep at it!
Maya
Congrats! That's so awesome!

Hey guys,

I'm a sick little girl today. I feel like hurling. My TOM is SO HARSH this month. Geez, maybe the soy?? Maya, you said you were having issues - is that common for you?

Still no loss. I fell off the wagon today. I was REALLY frustrated. I haven't had a loss since day 3. I'll get back on tomorrow and wait it out like a good girl...

Welcome Zeute.

Shell - repeat after me, "Stay. Off. The. Scale!!!" I know, I know.... Our bodies don't want us to starve. Sometimes they work really efficiently. Maybe your bod REALLY wants to survive and is protecting you. Give it some time and it will work. Yes, I get the irony of counseling you to be patient....

Good going, Flo! I was not a 100 per center yesterday as I ended up having breakfast for lunch with the "lads" at the local diner. I won't post my meal because it'd be food porn.

Anyhow, back on track this morning with MF Chicken Noodle Soup for breakfast. I added some Salba which is supposed to be an incredible supplement. After all, if Oprah recommends it, it has to be a miracle!

My darn knee is giving me grief today but I'm expecting the pain killers to snap in shortly. I will do my pre-op exercises the required three times today and maybe some arm work with weights. I sure feel high-maintenance these mornings!
