Starting us up before Pooky beats me to it!

Back in a few - dogs want out - again! And it's pouring rain? Any bets on how many times I'll wash that kitchen floor today?

How'd you know?

I am the snack mom this morning at M's preschool so last night I'm making rainbow bit cupcakes and a watermelon and strawberry tray for the kids to munch on. Today is officially M's birthday and much decidedly more low key than yesterday.

Last night I was so tired I slept with a kink in my arm and my neck is hurting so much. That's because I was totally exhausted. And we aren't allowed to discuss if I was OP or not!

Today while M is at school, I have to ready the place to leave by 4:30 sharp to head to my gran's house, drop M and the dog off and dh and I are headed to Toronto overnight to go to his immigration hearing at the U.S. conulate. He's applied for a non-resident visa--just means he can travel in the U.S. on business while the company lawyers work on getting his Canadian citizenship! I can't wait, I am so proud of him for coming so far! And I get to have lunch with my SIL downtown. And we're hitting the sushi bar tonight!

So now you know where I'll be tomorrow

Have a great day everyone!

I see I called today the Click instead of the Cluck. Oh well, maybe something will click and I'll stay OP all day.

Pooky, sounds like you and DH are going to have a great evening in The Big Smoke. Enjoy! You probably really need a break after such a busy weekend. Give Miree a real birthday hug for us.

Another crummy day with rain coming up after torrents of rain yesterday. The BBQ at Jim's in-laws did go on. Wendy's Dad got soaked doing the cooking. He called for a large towel and ditched his clothes outside. Way cool! Tayler was absolutely delighted to have "Two Grandmas! Yippee!" especially when we played tag with her running through the house. All in all it was a good afternoon.

Off to the periodontist this morning for a recheck and will avoid the nearby Chinese buffet for sure. My teeth will be super clean after my 11:30 appointment anyhow. I am going to take along an OP lunch and water!

I weighed in officially on WW online and am back to 208! Grr! I should average the weeks weight. I did eat a bit more yesterday but not two pounds worth - that's 7,000 calories!

Right now, I need to clear the cutting stuff off the diningroom table and set up my machine for an afternoon of sewing. (My sewingroom is so chaotic even the dogs don't want to be in there!)

Havea good OP day and may something CLICK!

I'm baaacckk! I've decided that people who say that the more they have to do, the more they get done are lying.

Work has been total chaos for 2 months now. Before I got so busy, I had decided to finally go back to school and I've been busy getting started with that. I don't remeber jumping through so many hoops the first time I went to college. In the midst of this I started having medical problems. Nothing severe (I hope), just annoying, so I finally dragged myself to the Dr. and I'm in the midst of having tests done.

So, that's what's happening here in sunny, hot, humid, FL. I'm starting INDUCTION again today. I may or may not lose any weight before vacation, but hopefully I'll at least have more energy.

Happy monday, ladies. I hope none of YOU stepped on the scale and learned you gained TWO pounds like I did! How can that happen? I've been eating less than 30 carbs a day! I'm so very disappointed. My husband is assuring me it's "water weight" but I'm pretty sure he's just trying to keep my spirits up.

Anyway, we had AWFUL weather all weekend. Horrible storms friday and saturday night but yesterday was the worst - we had 55 mph winds! In Toledo, Ohio! It's not like we're: A) in Kansas or B) in Florida (I swear these winds were like a hurricane.) Of course now we have about a gazillion little sticks in our yard. Ugh!

Well, I'm lobbying for a new job. I've had one "interview" (it was over the phone - but we talked an hour and a half and discussed salary and everything) and the guy hasn't called me back. It's been 2 1/2 weeks so I'm going to find out one way or another. It's scary because I only work part-time right now. This job would mean a LOT of money, but I'd be going back full-time. The nicest thing, though, is that the law firm is literally about 3/4 of a mile from my house. Right now I commute 75 miles each way. Well, I'd appreciate everyone's good thougts on this job.

Pooky- glad you survived the party, I'm sure Miree had a WONDERFUL time. I can't believe after all that, you made snacks for pre-school, too! You GO GIRL! I don't know a lot about your husband's situation, but it sounds very exciting. Congratulations to him!

Ruth, clean teeth always help the diet a bit. Who wants to dirty them up?

Morning chicks be proud of me. I said NO!! Not to the snacks yesterday but to work calling me at 4 am to ask me to go int today!!

Welcome Adrienne, I have been a bit MIA of late and totally Not op. but there is a great section in the FAQ that I had copied form another source (should I be telling you that being a lawyer? ) about fluid gain after the first few weeks. but in essence there is no way you could have gained 2 lbs over night 2 lbs in fluid is merely about 1 quart fo water. (7 lbs in a gallon) and that if you carbed is very easy to do as carbs will cause retention of fluid. but for the gain of lbs you need tor emember that 1 lb is 3500 calories and if you gained 2 did you take in over 7000 from your rregular intake?? that should be somewhere around 10000 caories??? I did not think so unless you ate the whole cake and the whole half gallon of icecream!!!! well hun just fdrink like a fish for a few days then you will pee it all out like a fish and by the way it it TOM???

as for me DH is on vacation and the house is mostly clean so just get the avon correct and make the rest of the mess clean then I will be sitting pretty unless the kids mess things up!!!

Hello All!
Well, this is my first time bacjk here since like thursday I think. We had recital practice Thursday night-Recital Friday-(it was wonderful! Tori smiled the whole time and did not run off the stage crying like last year ) then Saturday was the funeral of the friends dad that died in Hawaii while vacationing. All funerals are sad, but that one was right up there with one of the worst I have been to. He was so young-only 51 and had so much going for him. God must have a bigger plan for him is all I know. They buried him on his property over a hill by a creek-it is a beautiful site, and I am sure the family is glad to have him at home.
I have been so off plan-I don't know if I am going to be able to get back on-plan or not.
Amhlawyer--Let me tell you-that wind was scary last night! It got to 50 miles an hour here last night-the lights were blinking, it was weird that we did not get any rain. But I guess we will be getting that today, and Alyssa has a game--Boooo!
We did get some good news on Friday-for those of you that know about the new lumps that came up on my mom-well the big one that was attatched to her clavicle has dissolved and the other 3 have diminished in size. So hopefully a few more treatments and she can go on a maintinence program and it won't be so hard on her.
Well, my house looks like a tornado hit it-I have clothes that I need to sort ofr a yardsale-just overwhelming the work around here that I keep putting off.
have a great day guys!

Sue, Thank you VERY MUCH! That info really helped. I needed it.

Miss. D - can you believe it? Our electricity went out for three hours yesterday. I'm a slave to modern convienences, I must tell you, I was sweating thinking about HOW I'd cook dinner with no electricity - and what were we going to do without TV!?!?!?! hahahaha! Hubby and I sat and stared at each other for an hour and a half! I couldn't nap (no fan) I couldn't cook or clean (darn, no vacuum haha!) And worst of all - NO COMPUTER! When the elec. came back on it was frightening to hear all our appliances whirl back on! I didn't realize what a slave to electricity we are...

bye again!

Morning all

Its been an interesting weekend. Our truck that is only a year old decided to quit on Saturday. Hubby has been very sick with some sort of cold/flu thing. Still he insisted on dealing with the truck himself. I tried to do it myself, but he only got more agitated, so I left it to him. Men Today, we had the cable installed (switched from satelitte) and Im getting out of the shower, and I see this ladder coming up to the window. Well, you want to see a woman panic!? I darted from the bathroom nekkid, praying that there wasnt another cable guy up stairs with me!! There wasnt, thank heavens! Hubby wanted to know just what the h*ll I was doing lol

All has calmed down now, and we are off for our starbucks coffee. Not much planned for today, its still our weekend, so we might just hang out at the park.

Im going to go catch up on all the posts Ive missed the last couple days.

Have a great day everyone

Robin

I had to go to a WCB audit of our books this morning. It wasn't as bad as it could have been. I think your company gets flagged if they notice a big difference in your payments from one year to the next. Well one look at me and he knew that we are winding down our business due to our advancing years. I just have to fax a list of our sub-trades and I think we'll be ok. Man, I hate those audits.

Not OP these days. I just can't seem to summon up the will (or WON'T) power. I do try not to pig out though. The hard work in the garden really takes it out of me and I'm ready to eat the legs off the table by meal time. It's threatening rain and I'm hoping it does (hard to believe after our rainy winter but the flower beds need a good soaking). I'm only 3/4 way around our big back yard border and have filled six big orange garden bags with weeds. Next I have to tackle the front border which is even bigger and more infested. I'd love gardening if I had a cute, well-muscled lad to do the work and I just had to order him about and enjoy the rippling muscles of his shoulders. (DOWN GIRL!)
