Default Tuesday's Cluck - March 11

Good morning, sweetiechicks.

OK, let's get this shower for Sherrie organized! AND we need to plan our chicken dresses because we will all be bridesmaids. I guess Sherrie didn't spill all about the BF after repeated requests and orders. Seriously Sherrie, it is wonderful to be loved and cherished. Hold that thought no matter what you decide.

Big day ahead today with lots of "appointments". DH is whining that he has to make a phone call - ONE call to the insurance re replacing a fender and headlight. (He went into the ditch on the way to the dump during a snow dump. ) I have the guys coming to measure for the new woodstove's hearth at 10 and need to take my car to the dealer for a recall (and wait) at 1. I am going to change the 3 PM vet appointment to tomorrow because we leave at 5 for Kingston and the presentation of the Jubilee award to friend John for his work with HIV/AIDS. Somewhere in there I need to work in a hair fuss and long bath!

Doesn't this sound silly for a retired old broad?

Gotta go make the coffee and play with my furry babies while it perks.

Have a great Tuesday!

Good Morning Chickies!

Thankfully all is quiet on the homefront, not much going on. It is nice to have some peacefull times. The family is actually sitting down for dinner together in the evenings.

Working hard at home getting rid of big clothes and sorting through the old, out of style clothes. I have already taken on load of clothes to goodwill and I am about ready for another load.

Sherrie ~ CONGRATS GIRL! Ruth is right, we all now have a motivating reason to lose weight, to fit into the chicken bridesmaid dresses! What fun! I did not read in your post what your answer was to his very special question. Well....What is your answer?

Peachie ~ Did I see you post a response to Sherrie? Are you out there lurking and not posting? Need to know how you are doing.

Sue ~ So sorry about the insurance thing. I hate paying those type of bills. Seems like money just thrown away.

MamaJ ~ Are you out there, let us know how you are doing. Is the body back to normal now?

Ruth ~ Hope you have a chance to get that bath in today.

Have a great day all!

Good Morning everyone!

Believe it or not--just a hum drum day at home! Nothing to do! Honest! Now when was the last time that happened?

Ruth, take it easy on the roads hon, they are pretty slippery out. And are you making the chicken bridesmaids dresses?

Jenny! I know you've been plenty busy and all so throwing out old clothes must feel wonderful!

Peach! Peek-a-boo! I see you!

Sue, sounds like you need a maid. Seriously! Maybe Ruth can lend you Gail for a while?! I know there are a ton of maid services out there and I know you will not only feel better but your house will be clean and you can do other things! I swear, I am seriuosly considering it myself since I seem to be nothing but behind all the time.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning everyone! Wow, what a great response to my little bombshell. It's great that you all care so much!

His credit card status is okay, and he's neat in the bathroom too! As well as being a hard worker and staying away from bad influences (except me!) I think I'll keep him. It's a long story, but we met in 1994 and dated until 2000, had a baby together and split up. In the 2 1/2 years while I was single, I learned how to live on my own, take care of myself, and accept me for who I am. Now that we are working it out, I realize that we have both grown up and I don't have to worry about him leaving me in the lurch again. But the old worries are haunting me, so I think I should wait. I'm with you Pooky, a long engagement sounds like a plan. I told him I'd like to wait and he said, "I knew you did, I just wanted you to know I'm ready when you are." And, we are going ring shopping this weekend! This is when credit status is MOST important!

So, Ruth, I can help with the chicken dresses. In fact, I made all the bridesmaid dresses for my sister's wedding, which was such a circus I really don't want to go through it again. Courthouse anyone?

Hope all you lovely chicks have a great day, thanks for worrying about me! Talk to you all later.

Hurray for Sherrie!!!! IT is good that you two have already taken your time, and will continue to do so!!!!

We will have a long time to get skinny!!!!

So today the big test for me starts - my first business trip since being really serious about lo-carb. I am taking some Atkins bars in case I can't get a good breakfast - these meeting things usually are carb filled-yuk.

Have a great week I will check in later!!!!

I couldn't live without a maid. 28 years ago when I had my mascetomy I COULD not do housework for quite a while, specially vacuuming and scrubbing (it was my right side, I had my surgery in the dark ages when they took everything including muscle) I had to get someone to help with the housewwork, and it felt so good to know that every two week the bathroom would be cleaned and the floors vaccumed! Even when we had really tough finincial crisis I lived for the time we could once again aford someone to clean the house. I took my lunch forever and said I rather have someone to clean my house than to ear!!! So Sue try cutting out something frivilous like eating and get some help even if it's only once a month. Your mental healt is worth it.

Okay off my soap box, nothing much is happening around here. Got to get busy cause "Ann" is comming a day early this week (today) and I need to get things picked up before she gets here. I don't want to waste my time and money with her picking up after me, ( I can do that, she need to spend her time CLEANING)

Hae a great day everyone.

Quick note as I am waiting for the Dr. call re. throat swab.
Sherrie you know how you feel. My oldest sister just left her husband after 37 years, why, I think she just got tired of him????
Then again a friend of mine was with her BF for 13 years, they got married, 3 months later they broke up.?????
So is there any good advice?

Lets all have a great day,
Love Tazcat

Morning Chicks!

Sherrie--that is so sweet that he wanted you to know he's ready when you are! awwwwww
Ok, today I REALLY am back on induction. Eggs and turkey sausage for breakfast. I don't anticipate anymore visitors for a while, so it'll be easier, I hope.
I can't make myself drink enough water lately. Does iced green tea count? I could drink tea all day.
Dyan, thanks for the info on the low-carb bread. Probably not a good idea while back on induction, though. Too much of a temptation to have it in the house.
I got an Atkins catalogue yesterday, and that stuff is not cheap, is it? Dang. Some of it looked yummy, though.

On the subject of maids: I would love one once in a while, but I just know I would clean before she got to the house.

Hello to all, and have a great day!
Annette

Hello--all!!
I missed a lot of action here in the coop!!
My biggest problem with this wedding is that I don't think my hair will fit in the chicken hat!!!!! have you guys seen the "Budlight" commercial where the guy goes into the bar with his dog on top of his head because it says "no pets" on the window? That is me -- minus the dread locks!
OOOHHHHHH--I hope I get a chicken purse though--and Ruthie--add a few extra feathers around the middle for my dress, since I can't seem to get back on track!!!!

Sherrie sherrie sherrie--What a wonderful decision to make!! Don't let all my hubbie bashing deterr you from taking the plunge!!! He sounds pretty good--pick out a big ring!! LOL

Dyan--To get to Cambridge you probably have to go straight through Zanesville--where I live--I'll get Psychic lady and meet you for lunch!!

Nettie--I hope you are doing better back on Induction than I am--I seem to have no committement to it or something, I just took DD to Burger King--she has been sick and so we have been homebound for a couple of days, anyway-instead of a big value meal I got a cheeseburger and just ate a couple of dd french fries---but I did eat the bun, so although I ate less than I would have 4 months ago--it is not helping Induction any!!

Well Ladies--I gotta go--dd is ready to lay down--me too-as I think I am coming down with her cold--yuck!!

Sherrie wants it as part of her bridal party..........and cleavage too!!!

Jenny, sweetie you are nice to ask about me. I was sick as a dog (not one of yours OR Ruth's) with an evil sinus infection for quite a few weeks. Lost my hearing in my right ear and otherwise couldn't lift my head off the table. (I think there was chocolate cake on that table too) I digress! I am much better now and beginning to resurface. An appointment with the surgeon tomorrow for wls which is wiggin me out a bit. BUT other then that I am now fine!!!! Been lurking though!

and "hey" to all!

and BOO to Leens!

I could not get it in the right formatt. then i messed the puter and well i will have to try and see again. (just tried scanner still is not working yet!) I need my dress to be flexable as i seem to be shrinking my head and feet are getting smaller compared to my midsection!! I do not understand this!!! Congrats Sherri!!
