Default There once was a fish named....

sorry Chickadee...couldn't help myself!

I am trying to eat more fish and I bought some frozen flounder at BJ's but it is pretty darn "fishy"!

Can anyone suggest a not so fishy fish that I can buy frozen?

I can hear Jiff now, "peachie, why don't you just run to the fish store?"

Because I am not THAT organized and need to have it on hand and in my freezer! :sheep:

Thanks,
peach

love that cow!

(I like cake too!)

You asked for it, my fuzzy friend! (and, of course, Sweet Sue just egged me on!)

There once was a fishy named Wanda,
Who Peachie should grow rather fond-a
She's a June Taylor swimmer
Getting slimmer and slimmer
As long as she's out of her pond-a.

Oh yeah, I like mahi-mahi and salmon. Yum!

OMG Chicky ~~ I hang my head in shame after the tribute I just left for you on the daily!

Peach~ how are you preparing it? I'm with Sue on this one, I love fish but enjoy the taste better with lemon squeezed on before cooking.

J ~ wanting to suggest you blow and egg on it!

Oh, Chickadee! That was funny! What a talent you are!

Peachiekeen - I like Orange Roughy (but I think I spelled that wrong). I get it from CostCo and put butter/lemon/garlic & onion salt on it, cover it with plactic wrap and mike it! Good stuff!

WANDA!!!!! see peach rolling herself into a wall!!! I NEVER thought of that!!!!

There once was a fish named Wanda
Who looked like a big anaconda
She hissed and she spat
For alas she was fat
but still wore the skimpy thong-a

LOOOOOOK<<<<<< I DID IT!

Will try the oranage roughy first!!!!

Janice! loved the poem on the daily...that was really good! I just dump lemon on the fish and bake it. Sometimes I will serve it with a bit of lower fat sour cream mixed with some salsa...helped kill the fishy fish!

Thanks chicks!....for everything!

Sweet Kel and Sue their fish stuff they shared
Scooby's quick and easy ~ none other compared

Now with some thought ~ You should listen to Sis

OY VEY OY VEY

you guys are very very very funny...

peachie didn't mention this problem to me until this morning [and she did buy some orange roughy, by the way]

the way to cut down on the fishy smell [which, by the way, indicates that the fish is a little less than perfectly fresh]

is to give it a quick dunk in acidulated water. what's that??? not terribly exotic. about a teaspoon or two of lemon juice or vinegar in a cup of water.

and those recipes sound GREAT
