Gary sorry to hear about your mom. I have a handful of sick family members too and this week 3 were in the hospital at the same time. Sigh. Anyhow big hugs to you.
Meg I am so going to do your 100 idea but I think the pull up part might take me 3 days to complete. I might have to cheat on that day and go for like 20 or something. Even that will most likely take all day. It does sound like a fun challenge though. Keep those workout ideas coming!
DH watched an adventure movie and now he wants to be all fit. It is so cute he gets up and does all of these exercises. He is one of those fit without trying people so with a little working out he will be downright buff. It great because I have been slacking a little and now I feel like I need to keep up. I am going to try Megs crunch push up idea today. It sounds like fun. I'll let you know if I make it past 10.
Megan1982 - YES!! I say ya'll, fixin' to, AND sometimes I omit my g's, which is another thing I swore I'd NEVER do! I also have bits and traces of a southern accent; it's hard not to when everyone around me seems to have one. I see you live in Florida, too... North Florida no less... what city, if I may ask?
Are you saying leather pants are a fashion faux pas? I beg to differ seriously, I look great in them and I have the attitude to pull them off. Not many people can rock a mohawk and look good either, though So, what keeps *you* from wearing leather pants? You're "young enough" haha
Shane, I didn't mean that leather pants are a faux pas - I just meant that they are a bold statement, and I am too timid to make that statement! But I really do think they look darn sexy on those who can pull them off (I certainly believe you could, and Lily, from your pictures and stats!).
Where do I live...go to the weather channel website...find the tropical depression...follow it north a few miles. I live on the coast southwest of Tallahassee in a wee small town that nobody knows exists until hurricane season (Since it's so small I'd prefer not to name it.) Then it gets mentioned on TV a lot. Gotta love it.
Count me in as one who always envied those that could pull off leather pants. Oh how I wanted to be one of em' - when I was a teenager and in my 20's. I think they're HOT!!!!
Dull weekend on the horizon. Nothing special planned. The only good thing about having no social functions for the weekend - is that they'll be no off plan eating for the weekend (I hope).
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend. Everyone that needs to mend, please do so. Thank you very much.
Hehe, Megan, I was just wondering how close to Gainesville you were. What brought you to NoFlo? Did you go to school up here or something?
And yeah - you are right - leather pants are a bold statement. I think they go along the same lines as mohawks - you need a lot of attitude and confidence to pull them off, and sometimes, even if you have both, you still might not look in 'em. I'm sure *you* could, though, since you are very pretty (judging from your icon pic anyway).
On a more amusing note, I saw a very large woman wearing leather pants the last time I went out. Along with the leather pants, she was wearing a leopard spotted shirt!!! I WANTED TO CRY!
I never knew leather pants were considered so sexy by so many people. Now I feel *really* good about wearing them!
First of all I want to thank all of you for your prayers concerning my mom. It means a lot to me.
I was up a pound this morning ~ Probably my own fault for making such a good vegetable beef soup yesterday! I had two small...er medium...OK Big bowls of it! But it was more likely the 3 hunks of buttered sourdough! I'm weak
Angie had quite a scare this afternoon when she came aroung the corner to our house. There was a firetruck and police parked in front of it, she knew I was home, I was watching for her so she could see me but she came from the opposite direction, she had gone to the drug store. Evidently there were gun shots up the street, there were a lot of police and three firetrucks responding. They parked in front of my house while they "scouted" the situation. Must have been a flase alarm, after about 45 minutes they all took off.

I decided to attach one of me smiling. You know, so that ya'll can see that I DO actually smile.
Plus, my boss said he knew I wasn't really a "bad girl" because "(your) smile is too pretty."
Attachment 27022
Not leather pants-related, but music is definitely a hobby of mine.

Shane, you most definitely ROCK the leather pants. And your boss is right -- you have the prettiest smile ever. Somehow you manage to make a mohawk look ... feminine (you actually have very delicate facial features). You should meet my DS someday because you two have so much in common: he's your age, diabetic like you, and very into music. He went to Full Sail for audio recording and his band is now auditioning for a movie to be filmed here in Pittsburgh. Get this -- they have to play a cover of Hot Blooded (Foreigner)!
Awwwww thank you Meg *glowing and grinning from ear to ear*
Your son went to Full Sail? That... is actually about an hour and a half away from me. I even considered going there - another thing we have in common - though he actually went and I didn't. I've been an extra in a couple of not so well known films, so I know all about auditioning for those. What does your son play in his band?
Oh. I actually am a huge arena rock fan... Foreigner is good... but Twisted Sister, Poison, Guns N Roses, and Motley Crue are where it's at (besides punk, of course)!
So, Miss Matchmaker Meg, show me a picture! Just kidding. I'm sure we would hit it off and get along famously, though.

Shane, you do look great in the leather pants. I'll leave the wearing them to you. I concede. LOL. However, I am going to wear a mini-skirt and high boots for our annual Pimp and Ho contest on Halloween at our local Karaoke club. DH will be dressed as a pimp, Me, my niece and her DH, my son, and my good friend are all going as his Ho's. LOL. Lacy and Shelbey are doing all our make-up and hair/wigs. It is a great fun event that we are looking forward to.
KimRenee, I am still on Chapter 15. I had some stress lately that derailed me, but I plan to get back to writing more this week.
I was feeling much better this evening and let the girls talk me into going to the high school football game. Probably shouldn't have went, the cool air made me feel worse. Plus, those bleachers kill my tailbone. My son came and joined us at the ballgame, so that much was nice.
Lily, I'm glad to hear you are feeling better. Pimp and ho contest, huh? Now I'd like to see some pics of you that night. Okay?
Gary, these little fluctuations are going to happen from time to time. Sour dough bread? Don't even get me started on that one. No, literally - don't get me started. Cause' once I start ........
Hi, folks...just saying hello since I've been out of the loop for a while. I got my computer fixed about 2 wks ago, but I've had such a rough two weeks at work that I haven't had the energy to write! Reading here has also been hit or miss, but I've tried to read a little bit every couple days.
