Good Morning!

I'm just back from weigh in and I lost a few ounces. So now i'm 172.2, they i'll take it! LOL For next week, i'm gonna try and ween myself off the lean cuisine meals. I'm glad I started eating though, cause they are the only reason i'm back on track! Without them, i'd still be dipping into the icecream. I notice I don't loose as much on the lean cuisine, as I do w/ cleaner food.

Lorrie- good luck on starting your express day diet today! Let us know your success!

Jibbelle- I see your extremely busy, trying to finish up the semester, I wish you a successful end of the school year term and another great week of dieting!

Wishing everyone a successful weekend!

Good morning all!

I just got back from the center...I am down 2 lbs from last Saturday! I have 0.8 lb to go to get back to my 50 lb loss. I am sooooo close! I am almost out of weeks and they told me that as long as I buy the 2 boxes of bars a week, they will not charge me for the weeks.

There was a woman from Iowa at our center this morning. She started the program this week, but was out of town so came by our center. Ok...so instead of doing the 3 day Express with unlimited proteins, green veggies, and oranges/juice drink they (the Iowa center) gave her a cazy two day plan. She could only have the take off juice, two LA lites, and a couple veggies a day. She lost 16 lbs in a week! The people at my center were a little upset...they said it could have made her sick. Too much weight too fast. The woman probably didnt weigh more than 180....on an extremely large person it wouldnt have been that much...but on her it was a dangerous amount of weight to lose so quickly.

So...needless to say....dont hesitate to question the people at the center if something seems a little odd to you. They make mistakes also!

Time to start on my paper...every weekend...another paper! argh!

Congrats on your weightloss Jibbelle!!! Good luck on your paper!

I too am counting the days until the summer semester ends. After that, I'll be going to visit my family in Alabama... the last time they saw me I weighed 20 lbs more, so they ought to be a little surprised. Plus I get to try on all the clothes I left behind (because I gained more weight in college and couldn't bring them). It'll be like going shopping.

I bought this pair of jeans in the next smaller size a few weeks back, and every couple of days I try them on to see if they fit yet. Last night I was finally able to BUTTON the damn things, and although they're snug, they didn't look horrible. Since my scale is so cheap (and often registers weights I KNOW can't be right), I have been using that as a way to gauge my progress. I think that sometimes we are a little too obsessed with the scale, and that things like water retention, not moving our bowels, etc... can make us very discouraged. Whenever I feel like I'm not seeing results, I try on the silly jeans.

Jibbelle,
The plan that they lady from Iowa did is a plan that they offer. The only difference is that you're allowed 6 oz of protein in addition to the juice, water, veggies, and the two bars a day. My center does that one. You have to use more of the lite salt for added potassium. The center where I am (S.E. Michigan) told me that you have the option of doing either the three day plan or the two day plan if you feel like you're at a plateau. She did lose a huge amount of weight in an incredibly short period of time. I know that big of a loss in a week couldn't have been good for her.
Congrats on the loss, too. That's wonderful!
xYTx, congrats on being able to button those jeans. Before you know it, they'll be so big they'll be falling off of you.

She said she could only have 2 servings of veggies a day in addition to the juice and bars. Is that how you do it? Even with a serving of protein, I think I would be starving...but maybe the juice helps.

xYTx-
Usually I can tell if I have lost or gained by my jeans. I am maybe 10 lbs away from the next size smaller and I can not wait!

What kind of degree are you pursing? How much longer to you have?

The lady at my center told me yesterday I could do the 3 day LA Express w/ oranges once every two weeks. I may work that into my plan since the lack of starches seems to help me soooo much. If I am down again this week, I may just keep doing what I am doing.

There is a frozen custard shop not far from where we live. We went yesterday and I got a small 98% fat free frozen yogurt with fresh raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries blended in. It was sooooo yummy. Of course my boyfriend got a huge chocolate custard concrete with lots of goodies in it! I was a little jealous, but content with what I had.

I started my paper yesterday but realized I couldnt find enough information so I am back to the drawing board today with a new topic. This one should be much easier anyway.

Jibbelle: I finished my BA in astronomy and physics in May, and I'm teaching summer semester in high school right now. I need a few chem classes before I can apply to grad school, so it appears I'll be doing school part time come Fall. And I thought it was over for awhile!! LoL

Well, the scale doesn't show any change today and I'm getting a little depressed. I've been trying really hard, working out, and not cheating much at all... I think I've reached my first plateau. Unfortunately, I'm not officially on the LA plan right now, so I can't ask them for advice. I'm on hold. I'll be going back on plan in about two weeks.

Does anyone have the information for the plateau-breaking plan and would she kindly post them again for me? Is this the same as the express? I don't have TakeOff juice handy, but I can certainly get some oranges!

Lorrie: Good luck at your weigh in!

Hi,

I weighed in at my center today, i'm up .6#, i'm 172.8 as oppose to 172.2 on Fri. I deserve it, I got back into the icecream again. I had an emotional weekend and really tried my best not to overeat.

SpringManor- How did the weigh in go today?

xYTx and Jibbelle- the 2day express plan your talking of, is the one my center gives me as well. I like it. It's not that bad, for some reason, it just kills my appetite and I whind up not even being able to finish all the meals. Last time I did it, I lost 4# in 2 days, hmm, that was actually the weekend before last. Wow, so that women lost 16# in 2days? I know that can't be good for her, but darn it, I would feel so good after that. I'm just drooling over it. LOL

Have a great time everyone!

Kathy

Well, I weighed in this morning and I am very happy. I lost 6.8 lbs during my 3 day express. Couldn't ask for anything better than that. So now the work begins....lol

Lorrie, congratulations! That's wonderful.
I just finished the two day plan after being stuck for two weeks and I'm down 4.6 lbs. I was suprised that I wasn't hungry at all during those two days. I made sure to keep my water intake high and I did two 2 mile walks as well. It was a good way to start off the week.
Kathy, I'm sure you're going to have a great weigh in later on in the week.
xYTx, the two day plan includes the juice. You have a liter of it a day broken up into 8 oz four times a day. You get two green veggies, 6 ounces of protein and two of the bars. You have to get in at least 64 oz of water and up the lite salt to 1/2-3/4 tsp per day. I was told at my center that you couldn't use the oranges in place of the juice on the two day plan. I checked and the ingredients for the Hollywood diet juice is the exact same as the take off juice at the center.
I hope that helps.

Tai, congrats on the weightloss! I prefer doing the 2-day express rather than the "3-day prep". I used the Hollywood diet last weekend in place of the LAWL drink and I had the same success.

OK, I found the old express diet a couple of pages back:

2 veggies, 1 fruit, 1 regular protein, 1 express protein, 3 LA Lites

So I started that today, along with lots of water and a step up in my exercise routine. I am DETERMINED to break this plateau! I just want to see ONE lb off! We'll see how I stand in another day.

Thanks for the responses Tai and Kathy I don't really have the cash to spend on the Hollywood diet juice, even though it is on sale at Wal Mart for 15 dollars... but if this express plan doesn't work, i'll have to suck it up and pay for it I guess

CONGRATS on the weight loss, Spring!!! Yes, now the work begins, but you have weightloss buddies here on the board. We'll get skinny together!
