    Thanks for the congratulations I still have a ways to go, though, and it seems to be getting harder as I go. Ack.

    I got Denise Austin's 2 tape set - power yoga and pilates is one tape (I haven't tried that one yet), and the other is a full body pilates workout. I like her. She's not as annoyingly perky as most. I used to do these Beach Body tapes with this obnoxious guy on them who cracked dumb jokes the whole time. I guess it really does matter if you can "get along" with your video workout instructor.

    I'd like to congratulate you on 30 pounds as well! What an accomplishment! I'm already struggling, and I'm only at 12

    I just love the Pilates workouts. Winsor and the Total Body series are my favorites. I haven't tried Denise Alston's but I've heard good things about it. It's not too strenuous, but effective. That kind of workout that you don't feel until the next morning I love it!

    Well, today is my first day on the two-day express. I am simply tired of eggs, so I am trying it with low-fat fish instead of the egg whites. I think it should do the trick. I generally force feed my eggs in the mornings when I eat them, but I simply can't do it three times in a day. I can barely swallow without feeling like I have to hurl. Sorry for the visual

    Well, I have weigh in today, and I'm soooo nervous. I have lost 1.5 pounds since this morning, but that doesn't tell me much. My weight fluctuates 2-4 pounds during the day anyway. Wish me luck!

  • Joy, I never notice my weightloss until the end of the second day. it's like clock work. My mom also did this express diet with me and she experienced the samething. Diddo on the egg whites though, some time I whind up missing the last meal entirely, just for that reason!LOL

    xYTx- You are one of my inspirations! Having lost 30# is no easy task, and I know how hard it is, but just knowing that you did it makes the path more clear for me.

    I weighed in yesterday at 170.2 - Ugh! Today is the last day of the two-day express, so I'm hoping that I'll see positive results thereafter.

    Once I complete the express, the center has asked me to increase my protein intake to 8-12 oz. per day. I'll give it a try - nothing to lose but weight

  • Don't worry Joy, it's gonna come off! how are ya feeling? (sick from so many eggs?LOL) Do you have energy,etc? I'm doing my express this weekend, I can't wait!
    What was your pre-express weight again?

  • Bad News and a Question...
    Well,

    I managed to lose about 2 pounds on the express. That's not as good as I expected, but I'll take it. At least the scale moved in the downward direction!

    I spoke with my counselor, and we are adjusting some things in the diet. She seems to think that I may be working out more than is necessary for the Gold Plan. Her concern is that I'm not getting enough food to burn the fat. Just curious...what plans are you guys on and what are the food allowances?

    For instance, I'm on the GOLD Plan and I get:

    2 Proteins
    3 Vegetables
    3 Fruits
    2 Starches
    1 Fat
    1/4 tablespoon Lite salt
    64 oz. water

    How do the others differ? Right now, I am only increasing my protein intake to at least 12 oz. per day. Some days, this requires a third protein. We'll see how it works, but I may need to switch to another plan.

  • Kathy - thanks for the vote of confidence I'm having trouble staying OP this week (it's that TIME), so it's really nice to see encouragement.

    Joy - I'm also on the Gold plan, and my counselors are considering upping my foods. I haven't been losing as fast recently, and I'm finding it really hard to stick to GOLD. I think my body needs more food! I generally work out 4-5 times a week and strength train 3 times a week. My workouts are short (~ 30 min), but I wonder if I'm not getting enough protein... I go back to the center on Tuesday, and they said they'd discuss the plan with me. Let me know what happens with yours!!
  • If you work out, my center keeps you on the red plan...that is two plans up from the gold! It has the most food of all plans.

    I just wanted to pop in and say hey! I haven't been OP for the whole month of July, I feel just awful about it. I just can't seem to get beyond my breakup w/ my ex-fiance. But....this weekend i'm going to be doing my expess program (not looking forward to all those eggs!) and I find that whenever I do the express program, my mind is more on my diet and when it's over, I stick to the plan better.

    Anyone else find that their mindset is better for dieting after the express program?

    Joy, congrats on those 2# gone. I know you wanted more, but at least your closer to the 160's than you were before.

    I haven't weighed in all week, so tomorrow will be my first day to be attacked my the scale. (not looking forward to it) I started this diet out at 184 and made it down to 172, but I feel like i've gain all 11# back. Well i'll let you regardless and then i'll let you know if I was able to take any of it off on my express program.

    Oh, i'm on the Gold Plan and I workout out 5-6x a week. My center is aware of this but never mentioned any other plan. I'm fine though, i'm never really hungry.
