Liza -- Sorry about the loss of your privacy. I hate PB lites..blech. The chocolate crunch are my new favourites. I would REALLY like to try chocolate mint or the chocolate almond one, but they don't sell them here in Canada. Sigh. I am pulling for you to make your 10lb goal by Friday! How long will you have been on the program by then?

TN Kim -- Good luck at WI today! Surely extra watermelon can't do much harm.

Felicia -- Congratulations! Wow wow wow, 23 inches is great!!!

Felicia - Way to go!!!!

Angie - I had a PB one this morning that was just awful. It had that marshmallow texture through most of it and then there was a good size chunk that was dried and hard. Yuck. I guess I'll try the chocolate crunch this afternoon. We'll see about that. I think I got an intestinal bug and am not feeling so great. Any of you had a tummy bug while on this? How did you get around it with the plan?

oops, I posted in the wrong place again. that weekly challange thread or what ever it is always tricks me!! this is what I said over there anyway:

hi all, I am behind again, with computer problems, still delivering flowers, getting kids here and there, and hubby being home I am not getting much computer time. I am doing good though. I think tomorrow will be a good weigh in. Still no Drive-thru!!! almost two weeks. I think I am cured. I have had to grab fast food a couple times for my kids, not me, on the way to something but I made them run in and get it. NO DRIVE THRU!

got to run, too much to do......... hey has anyone seen Nicole?

I ment to put that on here.

it is rainy today and I had to deliver flowers anyway. I am at the library right now using thier computer that doesn't have the blue screen of death and in peace and quiet before I go home and face kids and lunch.

but I better face it all before the day gets away from me.

Hello girls, and Dan!

Well last day off before back to work tomorrow. We are in the midst of a nasty union drive at work and I don't know if I want to go back or not. We have a few people trying desperately to start a union at work and they are creating havoc there. I have got emails already today from people stating it is getting rather vocal there in the last couple of days. Oh well, at least I am there early and out of there early so I won't have to deal much with it. But it is interesting to keep track of on Facebook!!

Visited with mom this am and my ex MIL. The MIL is actually coming over tonight when I am with Chancey so she can see how she is doing from her wounds the other day. She doesn't particularly like the new girlfriend so she would rather go over when I am there and she isn't.

The ex even remembered my b'day and sent a text message this morning. That's usually how he communicates with me. Very little actual talking unless he has to!! But at least he remembered and remembered how old I was too.

I have a sneaking feeling the girls at work are planning something for tomorrow too where I wasn't there today. Usually we get our desks decorated and someone comes and sings to you which is one of the reasons why I always take my b'day off!! But where we are in the classroom it isn't like I can disappear anywhere.

I got a nice bouquet of purple (my favorite color) carnations from MIL and a couple of gift cards from mom. I told her to get those as I didn't know what I wanted.

Well, gotta go make some cookies to ake to work tomorrow - this way they can eat them and not me!!!

If someone really needs to get a hold of me, they can look me up.. It's also there for the media.. If for some reason I'm not answering my cell phones, they can try me at home as a last ditch effort..

Of course, no one ever thinks to look in the phone book anymore.. A reporter was giving me a hard time because he couldn't get a hold of me about some fire one Saturday.. I had been outside doing yardwork and didn't have my phones with me.. I asked him if he had looked my home number up in the phone book and he said no.. It hadn't even occurred to him that I was listed..
That's funny. I got some new phone books delivered the other day and put them right in the recycle bin. It's a tool that's so rarely used anymore!

Even though there are some very oddball stalker women out there, the men are still somewhat safer in this business than the women. I'm lucky where I am now because the listeners call the radio station jocks thinking I'm there and not in another location. The jocks are pretty protective and rarely even pass it on to me that someone has called. Now and then it is someone I know that calls and gets really persistent for them to pass on their phone number. I've called one of those people back. Most of them I figure if I wanted to keep in touch and we were that close, I would've. Because I'm a single mom with a pretty and unusually innocent teenage daughter, I'm very protective of my home. Very few of my neighbors know what I do for a living and I try to stay out of the radar in my "hood." I had issues in the past when I lived in Portland of being followed home on more than one occasion. Once by a police officer.... You just never know.

I definitely have a virus. I just lost my breakfast :-( I started feeling the symptoms yesterday and really hope my loss at WI was a true loss and not illness related.

Angie, I will admit to trying just the whoppers without the swimming and that just made my arms look chubbier.

Felicia, that is amazing! You are doing great. I was going to say that I also have sinuses that are always troubling me with repeated infections, so I went to a specialist a few years ago and he recommends using this salt water flush thing from NeilMed, basically you have packages of salt that you mix with tap water and flush out your nose/sinus region. You can buy the stuff online. After you get used to doing it, it is not so bad. Anyway, that was a couple of years ago and I've not had a sinus infection since and a lot less sinus pain and pressure.

Kim, I've also had water mellon lapses recently. I don't think it is so bad. I heard a rumor that the new plan has a higher amount of water mellon for one fruit. I do wonder if they will put maintenance or stability clients on new plans...

Liza, you are really doing great. I hope you make your 10 pounds by Friday!
Don't cut your hair, unless you want shorter hair. I cut off about 6 inches a few months back, and it didn't make an iota of difference in the scale (hey I was hopeful on that one). I did feel that I didn't "need" the hair as much though when I was thinner.

Dan, Excellent on O.G. OP'ness for you and Liz! The idea is to keep living even when you are losing weight.

To everyone else hope your Tuesday is good. It is supposed to be over 100 degrees here today (which happens about once every other year, so that is really hot for us). My office is still freezing though. I feel stupid running a heater in here on a 100 degree day, but I probably will be doing that later... We've complained and complained to the office managers, but they insist on freezing us. Always a shock to go from the 60 degree building out into 100 degree heat.

Wow - everyone is kicking some butt this week! Great job on the losses, and take them when they come - even if you're skeptical of where they came from LOL

Lunch came around and I made a bad decision. I rationalized it by saying "You work tonight too- you'll be on your feet until 10pm and don't have enough food with for lunch & supper".
I went to McD's - grilled Club LARGE size fries. It was good, until I stood up from the table and my stomach knotted so bad I about fell over. Let's just say that didn't end up well and my tummy still is in knots. I'm revolted now by the thought of fast food - so Thank You for that painful experience - may it help keep my @ss on track~!

I really should have eaten my fruit & veggies.

I need to get some work done today - my desk is a disaster area.

HAPPY B-DAY - equinetcan

Pearl - Oh I love bowling. I still have patches & a trophy from when I was younger (like 13 or so). High game and a few others. I think I still have my ball in the closet too, I've been moving that with me for too long !

Felicia & you other Losers - excellent job on your loss !!

Liza - poor you! I'm so sorry you don't fell well. There's a stomach virus running around in our town right now, too. We've been fortunate thus far and none of us have caught it. If we were in school right now, DS and I would probably both have it. As a teacher, I tend to bring home lots of interesting things to share with the family. Over the years, I've grown immune to some things, but there's always something new! We use a lot of sanitizer and Clorox wipes in my classroom. There's even a job on my job board for the "Cloroxinator" - the person whose job it is to wipe the doorknobs, light switches, computer keyboards, and mouses (I've heard that "mice" is incorrect when talking about the computer apparatus!) I have really noticed a difference in absences since we started doing that!

Anyway, Liza, put a bucket by your bedside, crawl between the sheets and sleep as much as you can! If I was there, I'd bring you crackers and 7Up - which always tame my tummy when I'm queasy.

Well WI this morning was good, back down the 2 I gained on vacation. NOW to just be as close to POP as I can be for the rest of the week. Good afternoon my friends,

Happy Birthday Alannah,

Congrats to the losers - weight - inches - whatever, a loss is a loss.

Amy - my scale is still safe today - mostly because I was golfing at 7:30 this morning and I slept in a bit, so didn't take the time to weigh in and see. Now tomorrow - it might be in jeopardy. Thanks for asking.

Kim - glad to hear that you are feeling better and got a "grip" on those clubs. Swing away!

Liza - hope you are feeling better soon, nothing worse than the stomach flu - especially when it is so warm out. Gingerale and soda crackers will be your friend.

Alright, I really need to get some things done here now, so better get the behind in gear.

Hello's to everyone, and we will chat later.

Hey gang..

I'm in a seriously pissy mood.. I'm having all kinds of problems dealing with the state fair people about our booth space and spent an hour on the phone with them and basically not only didn't get anything done, but thanks to their incompetence, took a few steps back... I won't bore you with the details, but as i'm the department's rep (not just State Forestry's) for all things dealing with the fair, this is a very big deal...

I was so pi**ed off when I got off the phone, I immediately sat down and had lunch... PB on double fiber bread and a small baggie of baked chips.. HEY.. At least I didn't go straight to McDonalds like I would have a year ago.

And then I went for my 3 mile walk to destress, so I should be ok..

What bothers me is that I fell right back into the old habit of stress eating.. Granted, it was OP, but still... What if I hadn't had OP food handy?

Now i'm pi**ed at myself...

Alannah - Happy Birthday.....

Felicia - what a big day for both you and DD...falling out of bed and thumb sucking stories brought tears to my eyes.

Pearl - (I posted this somewhere else...but) Nicole is at LAWL Summer camp losing a boatload of weight. When she returns we will all be very, very jealous....so I suggest we all try really hard to keep up with her....all together now! (just kidding around here...Nicole is visiting family)
I can only imagine what a great job you are doing on your job. I love to bowl, but haven't been on a league in ages.

Snowdogs - I've had the same bowling ball for ... oh, a long time AND the same bowling shoes. And quite honestly, I think I have the same pair of socks in that bowling bag that I've had in there since 1995. May be time to switch those out (of course, I bowl maybe one time a year!).

Norissa - I was just about to go cut grass and the sky opened up and another very thundery, rainy afternoon for me. I wanna go take a nap.

Kim - back and work AND you get to go grocery shopping. What more could a girl want???

Hey, Liza...sorry you are feeling puny. Not sure what to tell you to do. Listen to your body and hopefully it's just a 24 hour bug that will be gone soon. Hope it's not those new PB lite bars you just got????

Thunder and lightening right now...a smart person would power down.....off I go!
