On Cruise to lose

My name is Destiny, and I just started the Cruise program last week. I have tried many other programs with no success. I just weighed myself, ans after only 1 week of the program with the 8 mm, I have lost 5.6 pounds and am extremely optimistic. :D I just happened on this site by chance and am hoping that the forum here will give me the support that I need.

Hey everyone--1st time here--just wanted to post a quick hello. Just got the book and getting through all the preliminary stuff before getting to the "meat and potatoes (and exercise)" portion and getting started on my umpteenth-try at reaching a healthy and happy weight for me. Hope to get and offer support/help/tips and just plain fun chatting.

My stats in a nutshell:
married, 41, mother of 1 (15 yr old boy),
Current wgt: 160, goal wgt: 135,
Weight plans attempted: starving, weight watchers, cabbage/hot dog diet, slimfast, carbohydrate's addicts diet, Atkins, fasting.....
Been called: la nena gordita (little chubby girl), chubsy wubsy, fatso. In my unhealthy skinny moments: anorexic, la flaca (the skinny girl), cheekbones, druggie (never took drugs-just looked that way).....

Looking forward to reading all the intros and getting to know ya!!:carrot:

Happiness to all, Maggie

Hi Maggie and Welcome....

Never heard of the hot dog diet!! That is one I actually haven't tired.

Just start posting down below in the daily section....Jump in. Ask any questions and we will try to help.

It's been a bit quiet here lately being end of summer and children going back to school but it will pick up....We usually weigh in on Sundays or Mondays, once a week so join us and start with us tomorrow or Monday.

Nice to have you with us.

Just Joined Today

Hi. I just joined a few minutes ago after being directed here from a few other sites. I've been on some kind of a diet probably since I was 6 years old. No, my parents aren't nuts, we just come from a long line of big people and they were trying to avoid problems for me later in life. It worked, obviously. :nose:

I'd ready 8MM a while back and liked the plan, but it just wasn't time to do it yet, I guess. Now, I'm looking for support and hope to succeed with your help.

I'm married with 2 children; a 10 year-old boy and 3 year-old girl. My husband is a wonderful man who does not care what I weigh (which is probably part of the reason that I've let it go so long...).

I'm glad that you guys are out there, and I have really been inspired by what I've read. The pictures from the before and after are also great! Thanks for being there, and I look forward to sharing success with you all.

Welcome! I am just coming back after having a baby and can't wait to get really focused and going again. I had wonderful success on JC before I got pregnant and lost almost 30 lbs. Glad to have aboard!
Let's see if we can get this forum rockin' again! :carrot:

Just found your group on a search engine!

I would first like to say "I'm not the only southern "fat chick" on this planet! whew hew! Now that's out of my system:

My name is JoAnne Killebrew. I am originally from Greenville, MS and I now reside in Ponder, TX. I am 28, and I've been married for 11 years now. I have a 10 year old son and a 1 year old daugther. I have considered myself over weight all of my life. My heaviest was when I was 15, and I weighed 195lbs. I lost down to 145 during the school year...then got pregnant. I shot up to 196, and never got below 171. I have yo-yo'd alot these past 10 years, and my heaviest went from 220-230. Last march, I decided I didn't want to be this big any more. I found the 3 hour diet book, after viewing Oprah one day, and decided to give it a shot. I now have lost 30+ pounds with the book and cleaning houses. I am sooo excited. I am really happy to find a FREE group that I can give/receive support to many people like me. BTW, it is so cool to see the "carrot" dancing for me in the corner of my screen.

Hi All,

I have the 3 hour diet book but for some reason I haven't been able to get into it. Perhaps JoAnne, you can give me some tips. I have been on and off diets all my life and it never is easy, however, if I hadn't been on any diet at all I am sure my health would not be as good as it is today.

Thanks for sharing 30+ pound loss is awesome--CONGRATULATIONS and please do keep posting.

Anita

Tips for Nita

Nita,

Have you followed the book like it reads? Always make sure to eat every 3 hours. Stash snacks in your purse, car, reletive's house... anywhere you can think. I truly love the 100 cal packs. They seem to make something I always like or wanted. Make sure to exercise at least 3 times a week. I like Leslie Sansone the best. (She does the walking, jogging, and pilates videos). And drink plenty of water. You should be able to lose from that. I'll be your buddy, and stick with you through this. Tell me what you've done, and what you can/cannot do. Later, gater.
