Hi,
My name is Anita and can attest to what some of you are saying. I, too, am one of those yoyo dieters. I haven't gotten Cruise's book but I do have another book of his. I was successful 4 years ago with WW and lost 54 lbs. In the last 1-1/2 years, however, I have gained back 15 lbs. Since I am only 5 feet tall 155 is way too much weight for me. I am also 71 years old and even though I am living in Phoenix at the moment, I am contemplating going to Beaver Falls, PA to be with family. I have a husband who is disabled and also a diabetic. I am looking forward to being a member of your support group. Anita |

Welcome Nita! |
Welcome Nita! You will have to hook up with our own Lynn. She lives in Penn, not sure if it is anywhere near Beaver Falls though. :o And she also cares for her dear hubby Donald. Sounds like you guys have lots in common!! Looking forward to getting to know you myself. :D

Hi Ladies,
Thanks for welcoming me to your website. I really don't know much about the 3-hour program. I have been on so many programs sometimes I just get very frustrated. I do believe I am really stressed over this house deal because no one from PA is getting back to me. Lynn -- Let me know where in PA you live perhaps we can meet in person some day. I think the best thing for me to do is to go on Cruise's website to see what I can learn. If you feel I need the book, I most definitely will get it. Take care, Anita |
Welcome Nita, the book is a big help if you can afford it. If not a lot of the info is posted here. Most discount places have the book now. First thing is try to start eating your meals and snacks every 3 hrs. - six times a day and drink at least 8 glasses of water each day.....work up to that one!!! lol
I now automatically get hungry evrery 3 hrs....Good luck Phyllis |
'nother new Cruiser
Hey yall--joining in here
I'm starting week 3 of Jc plan tomorrow....I had the book that a friend gave me when it didn't sell at a garage sale. When I started, I had hit a low point and was very depressed about my weight ..feeling like I'm a ticking time bomb and the only solution is surgery...43 yr old..started at wt 332 and with diabetes and sleep apnea.....I lost 11 lbs in the 1st week which i'm sure was a lot of water / colon cleanse loss. I'm trying to only weigh once a week..it tends to really depress me and make me anxious when I weigh more often , because I magically think .."wow, if I could just lose like that every week or 5 lbs this week or 3 lbs ..etc "...duh ..I know it doesn't work that weigh ..just wishin.... So I'm due to weigh in on Friday am..I had lost another lb after the first week and a half. I feel much better..I have more energy and have been exercising everyday..except yesterday I rested. Today i actually did 45 minutes of exercise with Fit Tv's gilad...:carrot: I'd joined Jc's site but it's pretty dead and the menu planning takes too much time...though i'm still going there ..plan to probably drop that subscription after a while... Biggest problem is starting a diet..gung ho for 2-3 weeks...taking a trip or getting injured exercising or over stressed at work and indulging myself and totaly forgetting my diet plan...So here I am!! I have a feeling I'm in a place where others can relate...:) Moongoddess:df: |
Hi Moongoddess,
Welcome aboard. I still do not have Cruise's book, however, I do have one of his books--8 Minutes, etc. All I need to do is read it. It is amazing how many diet books I have accumulated over the years--some of them I have read and others I have started to read. I, too, am at a point where I just want to give up dieting. I am 71 years old and have been doing this since my 20's. I have, however, been able to keep off 35 pounds for almost four years. I know, I just need to do it! Congratulations to you on being successful--do keep us informed of your progress. Anita |
Just a quick post to let you know I just ordered a "used" copy of Jorge's book. It should be here sometime next week.
Talk to you all soon! |
hi everyone...i'm a newbie. i'm 38, mother of two teenagers, i've had chronic fatigue for about 1 1/2 years, it's difficult to lose weight b/c it's difficult to exercise. luckily i haven't gained too much weight but i didn't need to gain any hahaha. i like the site so far--it's been really helpful and i hope this will help me lose what i need to so i can maybe be a LITTLE bit healthier

Welcome Apollo Chick.....very happy to see you joining this group.
Please post and let us get to know you.....we are trying to get this group motivated again....so just jump in and any ideas you have are welcomed. Phyllis |
Welcome Appollo Chick,
Welcome!!! I also am new to this site. I just got Jorge's book the other day but I have to admit it, I have not really gotten into it. Hopefully I will just make a point to read it tomorrow. I, too, do not have the energy I did 15 lbs. ago and it is imperative I get on the ball because the next 1-1/2 years are going to be extremely busy for me because we are moving from Arizona to PA where our family is. My husband is disabled, and therefore, it is up to me to do whatever has to be done. Do share any strategy you find helpful! Anita |
Hey Nita.....come on down and post in the daily posts so we can get to know you.....all of you newcomers please join us. We love new members and new ideas.

Hi,
I'm on my first full week following Jorge Cruise's plan. I have lost 20 pounds just by watching what I eat but have been stuck for almost a month. Even adding excercise everyday hasn't worked (maybe I've been eating more since adding excercise... I'm not sure). I'm very excited to add this diet to my excercise and am hoping to see the numbers on the scale go down again! |
Hi and Welcome Chrallen.....
We are happy to have you join us and hope to get to know you. So just start jumping in and posting with us or start a new thread of a topic you would like to discuss. What is your first name or a nickname we can call you? We are from all over, even have a member from Japan. I am in southern Florida where it is nice and hot. Glad to have you aboard. Phyllis |
