New Here!

  • I am so excited to begin this journey...AGAIN! I have begun this every year and give up so early but this year truly will be different. I have so many reasons now to get the weight off that I can't ignore it any longer. My mother was just diagnosed with breast cancer and I know that being overweight and consuming fatty foods can increase those risks. Diabetes runs in my family as well. My blood pressure is higher than it should be. I also broke my leg this past summer and had to have it surgically set with a plate and screws. I know that being over weight is not helping my recovery from that and will only cause me more pain. My son will be 2 in a few months and I want to be able to keep up with him. I don't want to hold him back which is exactly how I feel now. I feel like I'm robbing him of childhood already just because mommy can't run with him and play. My husband is going on another deployment this year and I really want to surprise him this time. I am looking forward to getting to now all of you and sharing with others who understand. If you read this far thank you and God bless!
  • You can do it! Keep focused and good luck. Also, thanks to your husband for his service and to you and your son for the sacrifice his deployment causes you.
  • Good luck with your goals! You might want to change your current weight though
  • Thanks so much dogs rule! Lol! I saw that just before you mentioned it!
  • Welcome!
