New Here!

I am so excited to begin this journey...AGAIN! I have begun this every year and give up so early but this year truly will be different. I have so many reasons now to get the weight off that I can't ignore it any longer. My mother was just diagnosed with breast cancer and I know that being overweight and consuming fatty foods can increase those risks. Diabetes runs in my family as well. My blood pressure is higher than it should be. I also broke my leg this past summer and had to have it surgically set with a plate and screws. I know that being over weight is not helping my recovery from that and will only cause me more pain. My son will be 2 in a few months and I want to be able to keep up with him. I don't want to hold him back which is exactly how I feel now. I feel like I'm robbing him of childhood already just because mommy can't run with him and play. My husband is going on another deployment this year and I really want to surprise him this time. I am looking forward to getting to now all of you and sharing with others who understand. If you read this far thank you and God bless!

You can do it! Keep focused and good luck. Also, thanks to your husband for his service and to you and your son for the sacrifice his deployment causes you.

Good luck with your goals! You might want to change your current weight though ;)
