3Thanks I may go get some today.
livinI agree, but was sad today when I had my outfit laid out for work and put the skirt on I wanted to wear, alac and alas, it was just too big!:dizzy: |
Linda Hooray for that too-big skirt. I just noticed that we both started within days of one another and have both lost 46 lbs...
|
it's amazing and fun at the same time, isn't it??

Hi! My name is Crista, and I'm new to the board also.
Congrats on starting IP! I started 7 weeks ago. I weigh in every Thursday morning. I'd love to be part of your thread. We can encourage one another! |
I just realized that I my previous reply was to an old post...when you were new. (I'm so new that I haven't quite figured out how to effectively reply to posts, but I'll get the hang of it.)

Welcome Crista and congratulations on the 50 lb mark!!!

Linda. Mine is picolinate. And yes, I am amazed and a little bit scared at the same time. It is so much fun to go to the closet and not worry about which pieces I look less fat in. And all the clothes I had put away thinking I would maybe never be small enough to fit in but kept "just in case" are all too big now. I'm pretty sure I didn't expect to be able to hang in long enough but it got easier along the way.
One of my great recent discoveries was adding a little stevia to my oil/vinegar/organo/ herb dressing. I've even been using it for a sweet & sour sauce. ________ Mary |
Christa50 pounds is amazing! Good work.

Am I missing something, did you lose all that in 7 weeks on IP? If so, what's your secret :D please do share. Quote:

I've been finding myself putting on something that I really liked, thinking, well, it's a bit loose, but I don't want to give it up yet, so maybe it'll be Ok for a few weeks... NOPE! Never is! I find myself catching glimpses of myself during the day, thinking I shouldn't have worn this, and end of the day, it gets added to the AWAY pile. Last week, I was putting away a couple of capris I hated to part with, and thought, I'll just check online to see of they still have these, found them (on sale even :) ), ordered 2 sizes smaller. Got them yesterday, perfect fit!! made my day. ...hmm... got me thinking. Would it be tempting fate to buy something a size smaller...:D |
blueskies go ahead and do it! When we were vacationing in Utah back in April all of the tee shirts I bought were in a size that I knew I couldn't get into at that time. But, I tried them on this morning and guess what? They fit!!!!!! I still have a swim suit I bought back in March that I'm waiting to feel comfy in. I can get it on but still a bit snug across that dang belly. I figure 2 more weeks and that baby is hitting the pool!!

Every day at lunch I sit here and read the forums. I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of this success and support!!!

Hola everyone! Things are going great, I'm feeling like I'm really back on track. I'm about 18 pounds from goal, which is scary to think about! I might not down that far though, I'm starting to feel pretty dang comfortable where I'm at, and I'd like to start working out more and toning up. I think I will stick with it for another 10 pounds and see how I feel there.
I'm with everyone on getting rid of clothes. It's kind of sad though, as I had some really cute stuff that I put away awhile ago because they were too tight. I got them back out this weekend, and every single thing was way too big! Sad, but happy, as you've all said. I went shopping last night for a few things and got a new skirt for work in a 6, and some pants in a 4! I've never, ever been a 4 in my life (I'm not counting when I was a small child). I remember wearing a size 5 in 5th grade, and that's as far back as I can remember. I'm thrilled. |

Afternoon all! I'm catching up on all the posts I've missed and celebrating everyone's accomplishments!
I've had a few SVs and NSVs that I need to brag about... SV As of this morning, I am 200.8lbs. SO CLOSE to onederland, and through I've already lost 3.5lbs this week, I'm hoping to reach it by my Monday weigh in. NSV I bought a super cute dress a year ago that was my size... or so I thought! It turned out to be an Australian size, and 4 sizes too small for me! I kept it just-in-case, and wore it this past weekend to effusive compliments. I wear dresses everyday, and all my dresses are hanging off me. I look like a frumpy bag lady. I don't want to buy new clothes that will just be too big for me a month from now, but I'm gonna wait until I've reached goal before taking in all my dresses. I'm going to try clipping them in back and wear a cardigan to make them fit better for work, but I'll just continue looking like a bag lady most of the time... |
