I started on April 10th and so far lost 7 lbs. Was hoping for a lil more so far. But I will take any loss:) Anything is better than nothing:)

Check out the recipes for Cauli-rice, it makes a fabulous fried rice substitute, and you can make a sort-of bread from the potato puree packets, or mash the potato puree into cauliflower for a sort-of mashed potato. Check out Rainbowsmiles' recipes (Lisa always links them in the first post of the Daily Chat thread).

Be imaginative with those packets - it will really help keep the frustration with packet food and the boredom with the "sameness" from hitting you too quickly. :)

I just started this program today! I am a little nervous as well as hopeful. Trying to cut back on my caffeine. Does anyone put the IDeal salt in their water?

Be careful with this one as it may slow down your intake of water and salt water has a tendency to make people feel a little nauseous. If you're struggling with sodium, try half a cup of a lower sodium fat free broth. :)

Patience! Your body is unique - it is changing its metabolic processes and adapting on the fly. There will be weeks when you lose big, and weeks when you don't ... roll with it, it'll all come off in the end. :)

Stay strong April folks! You've got this, you CAN do it. One meal at a time until it becomes habit. :)

I am on the 5th week, and I too was unstable the second day...It helped I had people around that were doing the plan also. But try herbal teas to sustain you between meals..they help, also I make sure I have my two cups of vegis (buy steamer bags and add them to the soups) and a hearty, leafy salad...I usually pre-chop everything I need for a full 3 days (so it doesn't get funky) My salads are heavy with raw vegi's, like celery, cuc's, mixed peppers, broc & Cauli..then I sprinkle some sea salt on top and mist with white vinegar(I put it in a spray bottle)or if you like the Waldon Farm's dressings top with those. If you are feeling to shaky make sure you text your coach so they can give you advice. Be safe and good luck!

Today is my first restart day! 71lbs to lose, here we go!

Just got back from my first week's weigh in and I lost 9.2 lbs! I'm blown away. I've done a thousand different diets and never lost that much in one week, not even on MediFast. I'm sold on IP. Wow! Feeling excited about the next few months.

Just tried the Dark Chocolate pudding. I can say that I am not a fan of it. Made it into a shake. It was a little better. I have found that chocolate items such as these do not tast very well. But It is my first day and it will be trial and error to see what I like to eat. I will try vanilla next time.

kmars4809 04-23-2015 03:50 PM

Hosegirl, I liked the butterscotch pudding. Very creamy. Does anyone have suggestions for the broccoli and cheese soup? I have a packet of that and not sure how to make it wonderful. I thought the chicken soup was awful.

Hosegirl 04-23-2015 04:24 PM

Thanks, I will try that. I am going to see if I can exchange the chocolate for vanilla. I liked the raspberry. I found the premade drink too thick. I had mango. Again diluted with water.

for the drinks try blending them with ice and spinach. easy way to get more greens in and you do not taste it at all. also the RTE chocolate pudding is wwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy better than it used to be lol

I'm so excited! My first weigh in was today and I lost 4 pounds!!! Not bad at all considering TOM is supposed to hit tomorrow. Yep, I'm super excited to see how fast this weight is going to drop off!!!

I'm enjoying reading about everyone's successes! I hope to find my own success soon.

I started today on the alternative program, and I have been doing ok all day. Until now. I can't figure out whether I'm hungry or nauseous.

So far I've had:
B - shake
L - 2 cups broccoli & shake
+ lots of water

Let us know how your weigh in went!

Well, my first weigh in was only on my 5th day (timing reasons) and I was down 2.6 lbs. I go in tonight for my second WI. I stopped putting milk in my coffee (WF Mocha for coffee instead!!) and everything is looking good. Here's hoping I report back with a great result for the week. I love this forum! I am finding out a lot more about what I like and don't like to eat, so that's a good thing. Good luck ladies!!

That is my struggle!! I find my need to nosh is really strong around 3pm. I need to get some celery or something to have something crunchy to get through that time. I also struggle with the evenings. I really enjoy a glass of wine in the evening to unwind and relax. I was fine for the first week or so, but I really miss that ritual of sitting down, relaxing and watching TV or reading and having a glass of wine. Water is NOT a great substitute! ;)
