Disappointed!!

TaraR, hang in there, there are weeks that you may not lose on the scale but you may lose inches! It will all work out!!!!

Cut yourself some slack - you still LOST a whole lb. That's a pound lighter than you were last week, right? :) |
ForSkye, my particular coach said peppercinis were fine - just so we're all on the same page, we're talking about the little pickled peppers, not small pepperonis, right? Maybe your coach misunderstood.
I didn't eat a lot of them but if they were on a salad when I was at a restaurant or Subway, I didn't take them off, and sometimes asked for them. I was on P1 for a year, and from about 9 months to 11 months I did add an ounce of cheese per day per my coach's suggestion, but it's definitely not protocol. I needed more variety and a little more protein/fat to combat diet fatigue, and for me it was perfect. |
started p1=04/20/15 =202.8
first weigh in 4/23/15=199 grandmother died and I lost focus on diet got back on track 5/5/15= didn't weigh self second weigh in 5/07/15= 198 this is truly a mental thing because diet isn't that bad... I'm determined to stay focused |
I had my 3rd weigh in today and only lost 1.6 lbs. A bit bummed but it is in the right direction.
1st week -3.6lb 2nd week -3lb 3rd week -1.6lb I did loose inches around my chest this time. |
Week 2 ended yesterday and on a great note after week 1 I only lost 2 lbs, yesterday was loss of 8lbs and 3% body fat in week 2. Wow the results of this diet are amazing I am telling all my friends and family that could benefit.
This forum has amazing information and I don't think that I would have gotten through the last 2 weeks with out it. 10lbs down Whoop WHoop :carrot: |
Hi Everyone! I'm new to IP. I've been a chronic dieter forever, always going to start on Monday. But when Monday comes then it's next Monday. Always eating as my last supper. My 3rd WI is tomorrow. 1st WI, I lost 6lbs. 2nd WI, 3.5. I have friends that have done well on IP. I have a lot to lose but totally committed. I find all your stories inspiring. It's nice to know that others struggle as well.

Welcome livinlrg - you might also like to say hello to everyone on the Daily Chat and check that thread from time to time - nearly everyone checks that thread regularly so you might like that one also if you haven’t read through it yet.

I had my 4th weigh in on Friday - lost a total of 20 lbs in 4 weeks. Hunger is totally in control. At least 2 of the 4 weeks I was on the road with everything thing under the sun thrown at me in terms of good food/wine. Not one bad thing passed my lips.
Being organized and having appropriate food ready is key. Just got a spiralizer (LOVE IT!!) and a Nutri-Ninja IQ and love that too. Thinking about an air fryer next. |
My 3rd weigh in is tonight. I am losing pounds slowly but the inches is high. Hang in there. My use of the term "diet" is Did I Eat Today? It sound so much nicer. Not restricting.

Also I was clear when P1 ended, I would be on some form of this protocol for the rest of my life. For me, P4 is "normal", not the type of eating most people consider "normal". So I have a new normal;) Also when I was at restaurants, I would preface alterations I was about to ask for with "I am on a fairly strict medical protocol" - it made them understand this wasn't just a preference that I had that I was about to describe. I felt like it was also caring for the servers so they just didn't think I was insane. The fact is, if they put marinade with a lot of sugar on my food or a ton of butter and oil, my body would have had a pretty serious reaction to it on P1, as would my pancreas, so it was pretty serious if they were to accidentally do that. |
Great advice on these threads. I also hate the word diet because it feels temporary and makes me want to eat. Calling it a medical protocol is bang on. I'm in my fourth week and really feeling great now. There's no choice for me, I have to stay strong or soon face serious medical consequences. I've been lucky so far. I know I have a long road ahead. Let's try to not focus too much on the scale. Even small losses are in the right direction. Keep up the great work everyone!

4th WI today and down another 1.5 lbs for a total of 14 lbs. I'm pretty happy with that considering only 5 days from last WI and starting TOM. I do have a lot to lose so I hope I continue to drop consistently. I have some challenges this weekend as we have a long weekend here. Would love to hear how others are doing.

Stopping in to say hi to my fellow April starters! What's working well for everyone now that we're a month or so into IP? What's NOT working as well?
I'm 3 weeks in. What's working well for me:
