1st day--today!

Hello all! So glad that I found this forum. This is my first day and I can tell you that I am very very nervous. Even though I did well I really do not like vegetables. I think I did okay today but if you have any suggestions on how to get vegetables in or person who doesn't like them I would love to hear it. ;)

Wow!! -9.7! Congrats! I just started today. I will have to try mint/chocolate bar. How was the cauliflower rice? I can't imagine how it would taste. Would you recommend it for someon that doesn't like cauliflower? :)

I had read others having those loses on the first week but was really expecting more like 5-6 lbs.

If you like thin mint girl scout cookies, you'll love the chocolate mint bars.

Cauliflower rice is really good, even if you don't love cauliflower! I fry it w/ 1t of olive oil and add some soy sauce when it's almost done cooking. Then add some chicken and veggies and it tastes like a rice bowl...

Good for you for starting today!! Good luck

I put a cup of spinach in my nutribullet with one of the chocolate drink packs with ice and water and it was very yummy. I couldn't even taste the spinach.

I am almost done with my first week and I am loosing a lb a day currently. Not sure how much of that is water.

I've been rebooting on and off for so long, but am on day 3 today of being 100% strict. No more extras this go around, just want to commit and get back to my goal weight in time for summer!

Hi All!
At the end of my first day on IP; this is my third time trying, as the other two times I cheated and gave up after 2 weeks. I really really want this! I just had a baby in January and I have GAINED 17lbs since! I was definitely not watching what I ate but still I almost died when I stepped on that scale. Yesterday I just said screw this and called my local IP center and they were able to squeeze me in same day! I'm slightly disappointed with myself as I ate 5 IP packets today but I was just so damn hungry I was obsessing! Anyone else utilize the 5 packets their first day or two and still loose a good deal of weight on their first weight-in?

Cyrindarella - yes until I was less than 200 lbs I was told to 4 packets a day (3 packets once I was under 200), and the first week they said use 5 packets if needed, and I needed it. I lost about 10 lbs the first week. The thing with IP is that the program is really set up to work exactly as it is set out, so it's really important to do it just as written, including eating everything that is in the protocol and not less. Whenever I tried to eat less my weight loss actually stalled, and I definitely didn't feel well.

You can do it!!!!

Hello Everyone - I'm so happy to have found this site to share this weight loss trip with others doing the same. I started the IP program on April 1st. My 3rd week weigh-in was today and I've lost 12 lbs total. I just tried my first flavored seltzer water and it's not bad. I think I'll be able to kick my soda habit for good.

Congrats! I was actually lucky as I kicked my diet soda habit about a year ago. I also don't drink coffee/tea, so I am pretty much a Poland Spring water junkie.

I did 5 packets the first 2 days then settled down to 3 thereafter. I'm on day 7 and tomorrow is my first weigh in. I'm not sure what their scale will say, but on mine, I've lost about 6 lbs this first week. I think this will get easier going forward, as the last few days were a lot easier than the first couple.

Don't worry so much. Even 5 packets is likely to be considerably less than your normal caloric and carb intake levels, and low enough to get you into ketosis. In your first week if you are struggling with hunger put the extra packet in. The point is: do what you have to do to get through your first week. :)

Thank you all for responding to my post, you all made me feel a whole lot better! I know I am going to be successful this time around because I have the support of this forum! I think that's where I screwed up the last times; I would read the forums but wouldn't interact. Thanks again for helping me get off to a good start!

April starter

I just started this program today! I am a little nervous as well as hopeful. Trying to cut back on my caffeine. Does anyone put the IDeal salt in their water?
