I read all of the posts in this thread. HOLY MOLY and am working my way backwards. I feel pretty prepared to supplement with alternatives now.
I have one question: At one point there seemed to be a proti-diet bar (or a proti-thin bar) that looked exactly like the IP vanilla peanut butter bar. Did they discontinue it? I saw it on the chart that compared products but can't find it on the Nashua site. I think it might have been called Proti-thin Vanilla peanut crisp or something like that. |

I found a review on the quest chips and in the blog post she provided a code for free shipping on your order (onaquest). I just tried it and it worked. ;)

I don't know what flavor chips you two got that were crushed but, did anyone try to coat a chicken breast in them and bake them. I wonder if it would make a crusty crunchy chicken breast?

Saw a post on here earlier about someone having a WF product that they couldn't stomach and contacting customer service, who refunded their money. I have purchased 4 dressings so far from WF (Ranch, Italian, Sesame Ginger, and Super Fruits Balsamic) and find all of them quite displeasing. The Super Fruits Balsamic is SICKENINGLY sweet; the Ranch and Italian are very heavy on the vinegar; and the Sesame Ginger is heavy on the vinegar and only faintly tastes like the real thing
My question would be though...I purchased them at my local grocery stores rather than the WF website and never kept the receipts, does anyone think that WF would still honor their guarantee despite my lack of a receipt to show? So far they have just sat in the fridge since first trying them....I hate wasting money and figured that I would just use them as marinades, but each time I think of actually using them as a marinade I then think about how it would be wasting meat (so much more expensive) if they're unappetizing as a marinades as well. |

If you doctor them up a bit in the marinade it might help. Adding so e more vinegar and oil. With other regular salad dressings I just throw them right in. I bought the Asian one and haven't even been able to use it because I don't like the smell. The only WF I use is the mayo and that is only as a base as I still add oils and vinegar or lemon juice, garlic, etc to it. Since WF prices are pretty standard I think you can still contact them. This is their customer satisfaction policy. Worth a try anyway. |
I ordered from Nashua Nutrition on Wednesday afternoon and the package just showed up at my house today. WOW. They gave me protidiet chili and protidiet crispy cereal caramel bar for samples. I haven't checked the nutritional values yet though to see if they are IP friendly.

YAY just ordered my first batch of Quest, and I got free shipping with the code you gave!!!!:carrot: I ordered a box of Chocolate Brownie Bars and a Box of BBQ Chips and Spaghetti Noodles :) |
For anyone near a Costco, just picked up a box of 3 different flavors of Pure Protein bars - all are IP friendly alternatives (restricted). It's 18 bars for $17.69, or .98 each! What a deal! I usually get a box of 6 for $8.99 at Target.
jemma51 - I'm also curious about using the Quest chips as a breading. I used all my IP crisps as breading on chicken and it was yummy. I think I may give it a go sometime this week and post my results. nat1015 - I ordered from Nashua Nutrition Wednesday, arrived Thursday - so fast! I'm close though in Massachusetts - but it's good to know they ship quick other places because I have friends in other states that have seen my weight loss progress and want to give the protocol a go. ShelbyLynn8 - I also added a box of the Quest spaghetti to my cart last night (free shipping, why not?!). I'm really curious about it! I wonder if they are like Miracle Noodles? |
