Made it through the program details, signed up and paid for the sign up and 2 weeks work of protein meals. Starting weight: 306.5 (my scale said 308.5) set my goal to 175. Tomorrow is the big day, will go and do my shopping tomorrow after breakfast.
HERE GOES....
Welcome to the IP family Kitcamper, like USMC said its hard sometimes but very easy. I have been on it now 20 months and loss 220lbs, YOU can do this. Stick to the sheet and with the right frame of mind you are in right now it will be easy for you to do. Sounds like you have support at work so that is great! the more support you have the better you will be. Use this site as another tool for that support, most of us are here daily. I Know I am not a guy but I kinda gotta keep these guys in check....lol....if you have any questions we are all here for you and wish you the best of luck!
Jake, I am here, just working the 2 jobs a lot the past 2 weeks so no online time really. Had a good Christmas at mom's, drove back in that nasty storm on Christmas day though that was rough. My poor truck has dents in it from the hail we passed through. I really think I drove near one of the tornado's that was around, the boys were sleeping and one lighting struck so close they both jumped up, they thought I had wrecked it was so loud. But we made it home safe that is all that matters. They got me a butterfly charm for my weight loss bracelet and my mom gave me $60 so it was a good day.
I am off until Monday so I am sure I will be checking in more
Down 3.5lbs and 4 inches this week! Made it through the Christmas season! I leaving on a cruise Thursday and am taking a 10 day break from IP but am starting back the next day! Happy New Year guys!
Scales, I tell you, they are crazy. Today is my day so I weighed in on my scale and it told me I was done 4 pounds, from my weigh in yesterday. I did drink a lot of water yesterday, but usually do. Did my first round of shopping and bought a little scale for the counter and a salad spinner. Got to love Costco. Spent over 2 hours chopping and cleaning veggies for the next couple of days. Not hungry, actually stuffed, with my lunch salad. Off and running and feeling good....

WELCOME!!
Dude, if your home scale is a couple of pounds higher than where you weigh in, keep it like that. This way you will always be a little extra happy at weigh in time! (Don't be surprised when the time comes that at weigh in you don't have a weight loss. Just keep looking at the inches lost too. You will plateau, but you will jump right back in as a weight loss the next time.
I love your attitude about starting NOW, not waiting until New Years. Waiting like that is just for people who are unsure of what they want and unsure of what they can achieve. You got this.
Morning y'all, just wanted to share with y'all CNN is doing a segment on before/after photos so I submitted mine....so you MAY see me on TV and say HEY I KNOW her....lol....here is the link http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-903363
Wow, weight loss Queen to TV personality....you are awesome.
Spent all night reading though the 24 pages of this Men on IP Vol 3. You people are totally amazing. I am inspired beyond belief.
I wanted nothing more than to get up and see how you all were doing this fine Sunday morning.
Starting on day 2 here, had the chills all night and woke up with what felt like a hang over. Better now, cup of black coffee, and a couple of eggs, will have my breakfast drink in a minute, after I finish my coffee.
I am trying to keep a similar schedule that I have at work. I have the holidays off and don't go back to till Wednesday.
I feel good, but will be hanging at the home, just to get through the ruff start stuff. That and the fact it is hard to go anywhere, when you are peeing every 20 min.
You all have a great day!!

You are lucky to be off for the first few days since those are the roughest. Sounds like you have a game plan to stay on the same type of schedule at home as you have at work. Planning ahead is one of the major factors on this program, always be prepared for the unexpected that is the key. If you get a major headache in the next couple of days your electrolytes and BP maybe outta whack so put 1/4tsp of the sea salt in the palm of your hand, lick it then drink some water, within 15 mins it will be gone ....Get used of peeing every 20 mins....lol....your body does get used of all of the water you drink though. The way I thought about it is the more I pee the more fat I am losing so I drink 5 liters of water a day.....lol
Day 3 doing well here! Little bit of a headache. Tried the salt and water did not seem to help much. Nothing I can't live through. I was feeling pretty good this morning, so ran and did some errands. Did think ahead and took a meal with me, good thing I needed it. And filled my water bottle up at he car dealer. But, was starving when I got home.
There are only two kinds of commercials on TV right now either food or diets. Trying to sell everyone into getting set up for their New Years resolutions.
My dogs are not too impressed with IP, they have not seen any chicken nuggets in days, and not impressed with celery.
Staying in where it is safe tonight. You all have a safe New Years Eve. And a Happy New Year!!!
Wow, new pictures. Looking good there Girl!
I am headed back to work tomorrow. Glad I had these 4 days off, to get this started. Will be nice to have my co-worker to hang with and talk about IP.
Take care,
I hope you are all doing well. It is freaking COLD up here in VT. 5 degrees this morning on my way to work and I saw a kid wearing shorts at the bus stop, he wasn't even fluffy!
I am cold just thinking about it.
I need to re focus on my goals. I'm 325 as of this morning and I want to be below 300! I'd originally set that goal for my birthday on Friday. I am taking a vacation in St. Martin February 8th through the 15th. Soooo I will be under 300 before my vacation on the 8th.

JW-I'm probably not supposed to be on the men's thread (sorry, lol!) but I want to ask, how do you vote for Lisa's story? I'd love to see her story on CNN, she is such an inspiration! But I can't figure out how to "vote". THanks!
