A slight attack of gout yesterday seems to have cleared up. The fog in my brain seems to have cleared up also. I am very glad I took vacation for the first 5 days of this. I was in some serious carb withdrawals. Strange, I am already thinking I can do this. However if you did an inventory of my books at home, you would think we were diet book collectors. I am hoping to sell them at a garage sale this spring. I couldn’t sell them before this because people would look at us and say, it obviously didn’t work.
The thing that motivated us to do this, was my daughter-in-law. She did IP and husband did WW. After 4 months, looking at him it was, “wow you have lost weight”, but her, it was more like OMG! OMG!. So we decided to try it also. We called her coach in November and she said why don’t you wait until after the Holidays. So it told me she wasn’t into filling her pocket book with as many clients as she could get, but really wanted to see someone succeed.
So anyway before we started I just about looked at hundreds of IP posting on You Tube. I recognize some people from here. My point is that several had just 1 posting on week1 or day 5 and how happy they are blah blah, then you never see another post. I don’t want to be one of those people, and for some reason I don’t think I will be one of those people.
Welcome gobears.....I took noticed that Youtube didn't have follow up video's at all. I have a youtube channel with a weekly post of since week 52 when someone suggest I start making video's. I am in week 89 right now, so new video tomorrow...hahaha....my channel is Wuv2bloved, there is a link in my signature...
Welcome G0bears, the first few were tuff for me too,
good to see you Nobly,
JW, wow that is a lot of puters to keep track of and the "help" desk, that falls under xi-moron (oxy-moron) , at times.
Afternoon, Men,
I think I am catching a cold, I want my Mommie!
I am so glad they have those silly little chips on IP. I would be lost, without them, since my favorite comfort food was chips....and when you are feeling sickly comfort food was important. And the dogs like them too. But they get a whole lot less of them, then when we were sharing a whole bag of chips.
Having router problems at home, may have to get me another one.
Have a good day,
Welcome to GoBears and congrats to Kit on progress! JW, you beast, you look awesome bro! Like the beard on you also!
I had strange week last week, got a zero on the scale, no big deal, might have been the extra meat I nailed in a moment of weakness! Must have downed like 1.5 lbs of prime rib...and man was it good! So now back strict phase 1 and hopefully next Tuesday will find me below goal weight finally!
BIG job interview tomorrow...ASM at Lowes (***'t Store Manager)...they posted job while ago, I applied...(Work there now also)....loads of people apply but they only pick 3 to interview and I am one of them. So tomorrow 10AM I will be in my interview...send some luck my way!
Vet: I carry Kimber CDP in 45 cal, 3' barrel...love it as a cary piece and I load my own 45's pretty hot so plenty of knock-down power etc and VERY accurate. Pricey gun though at around $1300.00...if ever we get to the range, will make sure you try it.
Wuv: Looking GREAT kid and love the pic's you put up as you make pic changes!
OK WLF (Weight loss Family)...off to work!
Anyone hear from our boy Big Daddy? He OK?
Cheers
Jake

Jake 1 pound from Goal You're a freaking rock star dude!
Amazing Jake!...I see Big daddy post on FB sometimes so he is still hangin in there, he has been working a lot of OT. I had a stay the same weight this week but I am ok with that. I made a new video (of course) its an emotional one for me so check it out...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JscpiTfaO7w
Wuv: Just saw your video...you are such a precious gem! I just wanted to reach through the screen and give you a big ole bear hug! Keep up your video's...you are such an inspiration and I know you are helping so many more people then you can even imagine. Many I am sure watch your video's and never leave a comment but yet I bet many of them have been saved from "themselves" on any given day because of your words and kindness. You are a blessing! THANK YOU!
Kit: I had a Sig P232...loved it! Only got rid of it as a friend wanted it, and I wanted that Kimber....but I still get to visit it and use it at the range when we go together!
Vet: Yes sir...1lb more for goal, but I am going to keep on phase 1 till I hit 208 for some extra wiggle room! Also, that would give me a 100lb loss on IP...and of course I had just over 100lb loss on Atkins before starting IP...I need to post a current pic of me soon....
I figured I'd go ahead and post to say hello! I have to say that this forum has been very helpful in learning the IP diet. Although on the outside looking in, it had appeared that is was nothing more than a "more strict" version of Atkins...and after being on it for my first week, boy was I way wrong!!! I am happy to report that after my first week, I have dropped 10 lbs. I am excited, yet realistic about the results. Anyways...just wanted to say hello to everyone!!!

Thanks Jake, I guess I don't realize how many people I help only if they just watch or read my words. Its over whelming to me sometimes but I am happy to do it. If I can help ONE person a day, I am happy with that!
Welcome, HornsFan, and congrats on your first week loss.
On my second week. There are some very impressive folks that hang out here. One of the 2 main factors of even trying to loss again, is because of these guys and gals. And the most impressive WUV!!
Having a co-working having lost 50+ pound was a great example, but did not know for sure, till I sort of lurked here.
Have a great week, and keep us posted......YOU CAN DO THIS

Congrats on your first week, you will be super surprised at how fast you will lose, just follow it and watch it work
Billie...thanks for support! Yeah...I have lurked for about three weeks trying to understand how this diet worked before I finally made the call to go in. What really amazed me was how many people have had such success with it and are completely happy on it. I personally know two buddies that have dropped 50+ pounds and have kept if off. The thing for me was to be able to truly accept a dietary change and find something that was more "on-the-go", quick to prepare and tasted decent. I definitely found that with IP. The hardest part for me this point is the lack of exercise...not that I am a gym rat, but I play softball once a week and racquetball a few times a week. I have not given up the softball, seeing as I probably couldn't classify it as "exercise", but the racquetball has been a little tough...but an hour of rb for someone my size can burn upwards of 800/900 kcal (which would be very counter-productive).
Lisa...thanks for the encouragement and you seem to be a pretty strong backbone of this thread! Your story is amazing and I appreciate the intimate details of your journey that you have shared.

on the days you are playing softball are you adding an extra product 1/2 before and 1/2 after your workout?
