I have been following IP protocol (using alternatives) for 27 weeks and I have lost 65 lbs. I just started adding a 3-4 km evening walk with my DH, other than that no exercise.
I have lost 33 lbs in 9 weeks, do try to get to gym and at least walk on treadmill for a mile or two once or twice a week but not really consistent with that. Plus I work the 11p to 7a shift so my days are not normal .
Lost first 78lbs in seventeen weeks. (phrase one). Then 12lbs in four weeks (phrase two thru three). Next 17lbs in maintance (almost four months). Started weight training four months ago no exercise before maintance. What I love about this diet is when I have a bad weekend (meaning poor food choices and a few extra glasses of my favorite wine) I just do a day or two of phrase one and woosh goes those extra pounds...
These numbers are awesome and inspiring indeed! I am not experiencing such huge losses, but I am NOT giving up. I will take each .5, 1, or 2 lbs lost.
I began this journey on June 25, and have lost almost 10 lbs. If am honest with myself, I must say that the first 2 weeks I was not 100%. But for the past almost 2 weeks I have been totally committed and I am hoping that when I weigh in tomorrow I can see some kind of results like you guys are seeing!
Hello everyone. I just started IP a week ago. I lost 12 pounds in my first week which was rather shocking. I have never lost that much in one week. I am happy with losing a pound or two a week. I have 55 more pounds to lose. I thought it would be motivational if I asked everyone to post how much weight they have lost and how long it took them. I was also curious if people were exercising as I was told not to.

Hi Angel, I started IP diet on July 1, WI #1 6.0, WI #2 5.6, WI #3 4.8. As you said I am also happy losing two pounds a week but thrilled with this weight loss. I also did a post on exercising, so I hope we get a response. One person tells me not to exercise because it stops weight loss, watched a U Tube video of fitness instructors who say (IP diet) to exercise to a level where you can easily carry on a conversation for 20-30 minutes.
I have lost 20 lbs in 7 weeks. That's an average of almost 3 lbs a week. I was a bit disappointed that it feels like it's slow-going, but I remind myself that I couldn't do it on my own and IP is working better than anything I have tried. Plus, like others say on here, it took me about 10 years to get to my highest weight, so of course it will take some time to get it off
