A couple of weeks ago, before I started my mini-reboot, a longtime friend visited me. I told her that I was "going back on the Diet" in a few days to get back where I needed to me. She looked at me and said, "be careful not to go back to identifying yourself as your previous (heavier) self. You are not that, even if you are up some pounds. You are still the newer you." This really hit home for me, and I now see myself as my post-IP self, even if I'm up 20 pounds. Our self-identify is so important.
