Wayward, I forgot about the seatbelt issue when I fly.
I'm about to start my 4th week on IP and at this point, these "real life" benchmarks hold more meaning for me than the number on the scale. Maybe because they're tangible, I can FEEL it, or maybe because moments of achievement are up-ending those moments of shame...don't know, but I UNDERSTAND this one. I work in a remote area on a 2 week on/2 week off schedule, so I fly every 2 weeks. I know all too well the drama/trauma of the seatbelt and armrest. The seatbelt clicks (barely) but because of my thighs/saddlebags, the armrest does not go all the way down. AND, I did notice a bit more comfort on my last flight and I'm very much looking forward to the trend continuing. My NSV litmus test, so to speak .
I don't fly but what i've noticed the most is my work chair...i have a chair with armrest and eventhought they were open at their maximum, i could barely fit before and was so afraid that it would break as everytime i would get up, i would have to lean on the armrest to give me a boost.
Right now there's lots of space, maybe not to make it smaller but i'm sitting very comfortably.
This is kinda like when I go get my nails done....I would have to force to get in the chair now I just sit in it. The last time(3 weeks ago) when I went i was at 97lbs she always ask how much I loss...she weighs 108lbs so this time when I go and she ask I will tell her I have now lose YOU.....I have loss the amount you weigh...she will freak out....lol...I have been going to the same nail lady for 18 yrs so she has seen me at my biggest and see the changes now
Hi everyone. I am new to ip. Yesterday first day. Went well except upset stomach. Am not crazy about the taste of the drinks, just hold my nose and drink. Love all the post and plan to stop by everyday to read, very helpful !! Thank you all for sharing your stories !!:
Welcome to the forum Arleather. It's a bit of trial and error to find which packets we like better than others. I'm big on mixing things up. For example - mixing the orange with a vanilla pudding that has been mixed in a blender is a bit like an orange julius to me. There are lots of ideas on this site. You'll do great!!
Flying and not asking for an extender AND not touching the person beside you and walking straight down an aisle is FANTASTIC!
...thank you everyone for your gracious responses to my NSV...I miss him terribly and there was the typical wave of emotions I'm sure he was hanging out with me during it.
thank you all for the kind words and support!
So I haven't had my PHASE 2 lunch protein yet... bad me( got home late and didn't prepare). They were out of hard boiled eggs in the cafeteria today when I went to grab lunch (my fault for waiting till 1:30pm) ... lessoned learned. I'll just eat them when I get home.

Or do your butt bones get used to it eventually? LOL!
Ugh, sit-ups and bleachers are the worst when you start losing the tush!
Ahhh, didnt know it was called that. I was there 30 years ago. I loved it.
Even your sideways stoplights...lol..
Was also at Lake Louise, the most beautiful place i have ever seen on earth!!
Silly me ... today during my phase II lunch, I had my 8oz of protein AND an EAS shake (another 15g of protein). Its just such a habit to grab one out of the fridge and chug it while waiting for my lunch to cook. I didn't even think about it until afterwards. Now I'm full to the point of almost painful - haven't felt that in awhile. But I'm thinking I should reduce or skip my dinner protein? Or will the extra shake not be a problem?
Good afternoon all!! Haven't been on the boards in a few days due to crazy work schedule! Been doing well trying to stay OP, had a wicked migraine for 3 days... tried salt in hand, more water and nothing worked so I had an extra restricted packet and it went away. I know it wasn't OP but I was desperate and I've been back OP since! WI #4 tomorrow on my birthday so hopefully i'll get a great birthday present on the scale!!! Have a great day all!!
Yesterday was a big day for me! Went to seminar at my clinic. Weighed in and spoke about my experience to fellow IPers… I have all of you to thank for the tools of success.
I am on day two of the diet. Went to sleep at 6pm last night. Very tired and had a foggy head and headache. Today I don't feel much better. Please tell me after about four days I will be feeling better!
