Good one to bump! Iread it through! Staying focused is key. I am currently having to work at it. I have not been tempted to have a big ol' cheat but I can feel the cravings when I am tired and in pain. Not as easy to keep the steely determination at times, but I ain't a gonna give up or in!!!

Usually I will get up and leave the area I am in to take my mind off eating and do something else. Also, drinking lots of water. Something I found at my grocery store is a drink called ICE- no sugar, no carbs, no calories and it is flavored and my coach approved. I will have a small glass of it and I move on!

Planning ahead so I know what I am going to eat so I don't have to make any decisions on something off program.

Herbal tea and gum usually save my life a couple of times a day. I started chewing the Extra sugar free gum a half piece at a time when I get to the point where I am about to eat from frustration or boredom at work. I love their new dessert flavors - apple pie is the best!!!

For the past few weeks my cravings have almost disappeared. Nothing really tempts me to cheat. I hope this mindset will stick with me.

What I tell myself. I've been telling myself ever since I started IP last September is, "I can do anything for a year." I gave myself this year to get back my health and my life, and here I am already at the start of April. I'm now more than half way there in both months and weight. Not blowing it now.

Apple pie gum or tea???? If it is gum that would be truly interesting but I can't say we have that in our neck of the woods!

Yes we do have those dessert gums here.
But I think it has a carb or two in it.

One thing that helps me keep from cheating (and I'm only in my first week, so somedays are kinda rough) is to come to this forum or to go to youtube and watch the weight loss transformations, that always motivates me and brings my focus back to staying on track with this diet. Not to mention when I look at my bank account and the money I am spending on it lol

I stop, breathe and think about my next meal for a minute. I might think of how to make it special. Then I feel my water glass drink it while making a cup of tea. Or if I am at work I go to the bathroom and fill up my water or walk to the post office or file stuff for a while so I am not sitting forever at the computer.

Of course this site is certainly a distraction. Thanks for being here.
To your health,
Debbie

You're right Pat...my coach said that she really doesn't want us chewing gum all day because of the sugar alcohol. I've stayed away from gum for that reason alone.

I have always chewed my gum, it keeps me sane! the extra gum does have a carb in it but I can handle 3 carbs extra to keep me focused

One bag of Dill Zippers. It lasts me three or four days. When I feel that hunger coming on, I just have a few and then I am good.

What helps me is that every morning I feel my love handles melting off

Knowing that IP is a short journey, will be able to eat whatever I want when I am done.

Waiting for my bikini
