I am happy to say that my digital scale batteries died this morning! And I am NOT buying new ones. I don’t weigh myself everyday but I don’t need the added stress right now. I look forward to WI on Friday’s and I am leaving it at that for now.
Congratulations to all the weight loss again today! Good luck to everyone to stay OP all day!!!

I just replaced my digital scales batteries a week ago.... I wish I didn't. Good for you for not doing it!
Haven't posted for awhile. My weightloss is slow. My coach says it's good, 2.5/week avg. I look at my scale this week and don't see it moving. I have my weigh in tomorrow. I bumped it up from Sunday because I have to babysit my Grandson. Hopefully I will lose "something".

2.5 average is great we have some that only average a lb or so a week. You are stressing yourself out with that scale!

Losing is Losing... Its a **** of a lot better than Gaining!!
The scale is EVIL if you use it MORE than ONCE a week,....I tell ya!!!
NOT ALWAYS!! Its really only EVIL to those that weigh themselves and obsess over a 0.6 loss over night... These pounds didn't come on over night people!!

I wholeheartedly agree. I am a daily weigher when I am "on track". BUT I understand the physiology of the body and how such things as foods, sodium, stress, lack of sleep, building muscle mass, etc all can easily affect the number on the scale. I have found, in the past, that when I allow myself to get away from daily weigh-ins, that is when I lose control of my weight and several pounds will pile on. I absolutely know that when I finish my IP journey and move to maintainance that I definately will be a daily weigher. Like Jelly says, if you are going to obsess and freak over every little change on the scale, then probably not a good idea to be a daily weigher. I truly believe that whether to weigh daily or not to weigh daily is a very personal decision and there is not standard right answer for everyone. Do what helps you stay on track!
Can anyone enlighten me in regards to muscle mass. First off, how do I calculate my muscle mass? Secondly, (I heard someone mention it in another post) if I feel weak and my muscle feel tired, does that mean I may not be getting enough protein and am losing muscle? I really wish I had a coach. Thank goodness for all of you knowledgable ones willing to help the rest of us out!
I survived the surgery. Now will I survive the drugs they gave me for it. I fudged for lunch and had a protein smoothie that my daughter got me. I really don't remember it other than it being cool and I didn't have to chew it. Dinner is back on track though this evening.
