I make my own red sauce using:

Hunt's 100% Natural Tomato Sauce with Basil, Garlic & Oregano
Red Pepper Flakes
Morningstar Farms Veggie sausage
Fresh Basil if I have it
Fresh Tomatoes if I have them

Kraft makes a reduced fat parmesan style grated cheese topping but it's hard to find. Sometimes I just use shredded FF cheddar cheese.

I prefer them, I purchase them at the Asian market and also at the health food store.
Hi Mamarix! I was just thinking about you the other day. How are you?

I think about this every time I carry my 50lb dog up and down the stairs, about 10 times a day, and also putting her in and out of the SUV. I couldn't imagine doing this with 80 lbs and lifting her 50lbs so I am glad she is giving me some weight training... Have a great weekend all.

My mothier in law is driving me crazy - she's totally food obsessed and is visiting us.

EVERY discussion is about food, she's an amazing cook and loves fine food. She could not be LESS supportive of my eating plan, and keeps telling me I should stop because I'm too skinny . I'm at my goal weight and in Phase 3 so I AM eating, but I'm only eating breakfast and my phase 2 meals. Sorry for ranting, but what's the deal with people trying to sabotage those of us getting it done??

Geez BC. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. There is no explaining/excusing some people. You probably do look skinny to her as she isn't used to seeing you this way. She'll get used to it in time.

What's important is that you are at goal weight. Yay!! You need to keep your eye on the prize. You are in the home stretch. Phase III is very important to your long term success. Keep doing exactly what you are doing. You should be so proud of yourself. You can come here and rant whenever you like. Let us know how the rest of the visit goes. By the way, healthy food can still be fine food. Maybe some day you can get her to buy in to that concept and create some fantastic meals. You, of course, will have to share those recipes with us.

I sure don't know what the deal is with these people, especially a parent! She should be thrilled that you are taking care of yourself so you will live a long healthy life! Is she heavy and jealous or thin and doesn't understand? Those seem to be the two sources of unsupport that I run across. I just want to smack the skinny little coworker putting a chocolate treat in front of me insisting I can "just have one." She will never understand that one is a slippery slope towards eating a whole bag because she doesn't have an eating disorder like I do. Wow, there I am ranting too!

Some people's worlds revolve around food. It's hard for them to understand that you are freeing yourself from that mindset. Don't take it personally. They are just unable to understand your new relationship with food. My parents are the same way. They are not unsupportive, but they just don't get it... Hang in there and come here for support. Maybe one day they will change...

Also, keep in mind that people's comments about you are more about them than they are about you. When people comment that you are too skinny, it's more a reflection of them and the fact that they think they are at an ok weight. I don't think people are used to seeing thin people anymore in society.

Bc: These people who try to sabotage you are frustrating..harder when they are your family. Like Pauley I also face people at work who seem to think they need to comment on and control my weight. People have told me to stop dieting or that i am too thin. It seems to threaten others when you are successful.
Maybe her whole identity is built around pleasing others with gourmet food..and she is threatened because you cannot eat hers. Hopefully she will accept you and your new healthy food.
Would some of Steven Finn's recipes be of any use?

Wildflower. I read good reviews about bella vita tomato sauce and have included it in my netrition.com order. It has 4 carbs in a half cup.

2ride,

I was just thinking about you and wondering how your old baby is doing? I hope everything is as well as can be.

Thanks Bella, Jewel is doing well, we walk about 2 hours each day on weekends and 45 minutes during the week, she is a little slower but she runs to protect my other dog when dogs get too close to her. They both were chasing squirrels today at the off leash, with Jewel jumping over logs I have a feeling she will be feeling sore tonight and tomorrow. She is now eating again, but it is always a guessing game, the last week or so it has been hamburger and rice, now she is eating dry dog food only (this morning anyway) sometimes she will only eat if I put a high protein supplement(called nutri cal) on her food and sometimes she just licks it off my finger. The good news is she isn't going down hill yet. and the trip home to see my sister seemed to rejuvinate her. She does have me wrapped around her paw though... she can jump on the couch upstairs but now she is barking at me to carry her up and down the stairs. I have also moved downstairs to sleep at night as she barks about 4-6 times a night if I am upstairs. May have to try using the baby gates again, would love to sleep in my bed again. This week my best friend is coming over to look after the girls as I have to be away for training. I am trying to get lots of food ready for her in case she becomes picky again. I spend as much time as I can with her and cherish it all.

Have a great weekend all.

I ran into my coach today. She said she just had a training recently and asked them my question about how many grams of carbs at lunch and fat at dinner. They said not to worry about that. The main things are: (1) eat three meals and three snacks per day; and (2) keep fats and carbs separated. Maybe I'm making things too complicated. I'm going to experiment this week.

Today is my first day of penance... I had a good cheat day yesterday. At first, I felt like it was a weird little private celebration and I couldn't figure out what to eat and when. It was very strange. I spent the whole day thinking about food. I couldn't decide what I wanted. I've spent so long thinking "I can't eat that, I don't eat that" that it was really difficult.

I then relaxed when I realized I have another cheat day coming up in a week. So, I still went what I would consider overboard, but it's my first one so I wanted to see what it was like to eat everything possible that I wanted. I'm SO happy that today is a Phase 1 day. I'm off to read my maintenance sheet and make coffee. I hope everyone has a good week.

Pixlkitty..Glad the cheat day went well. Good luck on the Phase 1 today.

Bigpassport: that was good information..Keeping it simpler might be easier.
Do you have to change your passport picture?
I just realized that I finally weigh what I have been putting down as my weight on my driver's license.

Off to another WI today.

Thanks for asking the question. I do think I overthink this. I have not stuck perfectly to our Halloween Maintainer's challenge but I am still at goal. Going to a big wedding next weekend and am invited to both rehearsal dinner & reception. Plan on eating light both Friday & Saturday days and trying to make good choices at the dinners. Then phase I on Sunday.

So...What did you have that you haven't had in 8 months?
