congrats on the baby! Did your Dr put you on prometrium? I may have spelled it wrong. I've had multiple miscarriages one we know for sure was because of low progesterone. Good luck! I saw this and just wanted to say something just in case I could be of any help.

Thanks for the heads up...I`m on bioidentical hormone replacement therapy anway, due to really low hormone levels, so he`s just going to reformulate my hormones that I take, and check my levels often to make sure they keep rising. So hopefully.....

Every day at work I have a salad with 1 c cucumber and oil& vinegar and either the mushroom soup with an added cup of cooked mushrooms or the broccoli soup with an added cup of broccoli.

i have a question for anyone who might know...

My fiance wants to lose a few lbs. before our wedding, but we can't afford to BOTH be on IP (and I have a lot more to lose than him, and want to look great in my gown, so therefore I am the one on IP)

he picked up a protein powder (shake) at wal mart today called body fortress whey protein.
cal:130
carbs:3
fiber:1
sugar:1
protein:25

ingredients: protein blend (whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate, soy lecithin) cocoa powder, soy lecithin, calcium carbonate, dicalcium phosphate, cellulose gum, xanthan gum, acesulfame potassium, sucralose.

Would this be an okay alternative? he doesn't have a lot to lose, but would like to see his beer gut start to go.

He was thinking about applying IP by drinking 2 of these a day for breakfast and lunch (with 2 cups veggies) and then eating what I have for dinner.

HAd to go to Cheesecake Factory for lunch today but was able to stay on plan! I had a salad with no dressing and grilled chicken. I just used a slice of lemon for the salad. I was not even tempted at all! I have my WI #1 on Thursday so I hope it will be good.

You should try doing this with cinnamon & without the strawberry stuff - it's just like homemade applesauce! I tried it for the first time yesterday and went and bought another 2 lbs of rhubarb today to make more. YUM.

Oh good!! I'm so glad your Dr is on top of it! I'm sorry you have to deal with all that. Super stressful. I'll be thinking of you, I know how dang hard the first trimester can be. Thank goodness low progesterone is resolved after 13 weeks!! Anyway, try and relax as best you can. I hope everything goes as boring as possible!

Red face New and Nervous!

I just found this site and think its great! I am almost through my second week on Ideal Protein and I am doing pretty good. I lost 7lbs. my first week and I get weighed tomorrow. I am nervous ...I cheated on Saturday night I ate 2 restricted proteins in a day and ate a granola bar. I was weak after watching everyone eat dessert so I ate the choco. soy puffs thinking that would be better than the dessert and it worked until late in the night my tummy was growling and I ate a granola bar. I was so upset the next morning! Now I am afraid I blew my whole week! I am back on track now and am determind not to be derailed. Well had to vent feel better! I love the dancing carrot so I am adding him and calling him Clyde. Im crazy!
