I made a cup of "Forever Nuts" tea. It is one of my favs because of the name and the taste!

I've been taking Floralax (one last night and one just after lunch) and it is working... maybe I didn't gain after all.

Question: How many grams of carbs per day is the max we should have on IP? (Just curious)
Hi Susie_Bee! Sorry to hear that it has been a miserable rainy day! Good job overcoming that binge feeling! Gotta love the name of your tea! I also was curious about the total amount of carbs per day...

Spent 2 hours last Saturday cleaning out my closet and chest of drawers of clothes that no longer fit. Have them ready to go to consignment/ donation.

I have had a real sit down with myself and recommited to the process. I can use any and all support from the folks here who understand. How do you keep going when it gets tough?
You can follow through with this journey! It is tough and it will continue to be tough. This diet requires sooo much motivation and determination. You have to remember that it is short-term. All that you have sacrificed will be soooo worth it when you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Set those mini-goals for yourself and reward yourself when you reach them. Picture yourself at your goal and reach for that....You can do it!!!!!

He is Type 1 diabetic and has no body fat at all so going into ketosis for him is a trip to the hospital. He does eat the same meal with me everynight which is really great Going to spend the weekend cleaning the house with the crummy weather out and planning out my next week's worth of meals and getting excited about my first weigh in on Tuesday! Everyone have a great weekend and congrats on all the SV and NSV!!!!
I also had the soy patty for lunch and had the same reaction --- there are so many other better tasting things then this! I tried to drown it with mustard, but that didn't work...oh well, don't know until you try it! Good luck with your first weigh in on Tuesday!

It's the end of week 1 for me on IP! I've lost some weight already, and that makes me very happy. I can't wait until my official WI on Monday! It's a long journey ahead, but with online friends like you all, I know I can do it. I think it's been amazing that I've gone a whole week and not cheated at all. On past diets I would, so I hope that I have the strength to keep it up.

Reading posts about how it's all-or-nothing and that it's unhealthy to NOT stay 100% inspire me to just try harder. Thanks! Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi everyone! I am starting the diet tomorrow! I'm exited but so nervous. Anything I need to know pros/cons before starting this? I've browsed the forum and so many people have had great success with it so I am very eager to start.

Starting into week 4. I will not go for my weigh in until next week. I am so tired and hungry today. Not really sure why because I have been so full of energy lately. It is getting close to my TOM and that may be why. Will let you know.

For those of you asking about carb amounts it depends on the person. If you are eating restricted or occasional veggies your carb count will be higher. Most people can eat around 40 grams of carbs and stay in ketosis. Some who are very carb sensitive can only have 30 while others can be safe up to 100. I usually tried to stay below 25 NET carbs (I don't subtract sugar alcohols, only fiber.) Ideal Protein doesn't give you an exact number so you kind of need to find out what works for you.

Hi everybody. Still trying to figure out how to post, reply, etc. I've been on IP 10 days and so far so good. Today is actually one of the first days I.m a little hungry. But it's totally manageable.

Does anybody here eat he "restricted foods" In 10 days, I've only had two, but wondered if it slows the loss down significantly. Logic tells me it would

Great day to all.

Today has been..and still is...really rough.

It's dreary and rainy out, and I feel like the walls are closing in on me! I want out...but with 4 kids, I just don't want out that bad, cuz they have to come with me

My niece made cookies again today and now I want to eat all the rest that are in the ziploc bag!!! Which is really sad since normally 2 are more then enough for me..but currently...I want them all!!!

I have managed to say no to them...and am eagerly awaiting the minute my hubby walks through the door from working all day, so that I can RUN out of it.
My kids haven't been bad, Nothing has gone wrong, I just NEED out!!!!

Sorry to complain..I think I just needed to voice how I'm feeling.

Default Tired of veggies :(

OK So today is day 6 for me and I am doing OK. I really miss my carbs and its super hard making food for my family that I cannot have. I did eat 1 noodle I just could not resist. I am follwoing the plan and eating what is allowed but it isn't easy.

I am also having a hard time with drinking my water. It's just a lot of water. I have had the restricted bars 2 days this week. Although not ideal, it helped.

I am really struggling and really want to see a significant loss on week 1 so that it will keep me motivated. I have over 100 I want to lose, and that seems so far away.

HI there, I've only been on the program a little over 7 weeks so I'm not super experienced, but i can tell you that I feel discouraged when I look at how much I have to lose still even though in 7 weeks I've lost 30 lbs....that's never happened in my life!! But, I still have 90 lbs to go to get to my goal weight...so..yep I understand the discouragement. All I can say is that when I start thinking like that I have to do two things. 1) celebrate what i've done already. Not just the weight loss, but that for the first time since I've been battling my weight (for years and years), I feel like I am in CONTROL. It's an amazing feeling and I am as proud of that as I am of the actual weight loss. and... 2) I HAVE to break down my weight loss into smaller chunks (no pun intended...haha) because otherwise it's a gigantic overwhelming monster of a number! You have done amazingly well and you are so worth staying on this journey! Hope to see you on the forum and keeping up the great work!!

That is incredible Suga! Way to go!
Zumba for the wii eh? I am going to have to look that one up (I have Dance Dance Revolution, Wii Fit, Jillian Micheal's 2011 Fitness Ultimatum and games for the DH and kids)!
Hey Susie! thanks for the encouragement...yep the wii zumba is great! Plus it's a good start if you're looking to take a class but want to learn a few of the moves first....it's a bit complex but super fun!

Wanted to say that you did an awesome job not binging when things got rough today, we don't give ourselves enough credit for the victories, and that was one so way to go sista!!

PS - I did two photo shoots today (one with a very cranky 3 year old PUKED on my pants and then I had to rush to the store to buy new pants before I went to a wedding reception (which I was running late for and then got LOST inside this gigantic house!) to take photos of all the snooty guests there....so....all I wanted was a burger when I was done since I hadn't eaten all day but now I'm home with my steak on the bbq and salad ready to go and I am PROUD. love it. You rock girl, keep it up!

Going to lunch at my favorite pizza place in the whole wide world...and I'm getting a salad I'm not really that sad. I've been doing great and don't want to jeopardize it! Have a great weekend everyone!
