Hola and happy Friday!!

I had WI# 4 yesterday and I lost another 2lbs making the total for one month on IP at 10lbs. I am really starting to believe it's my hypothyroidism that is making my weight loss so slow, I cannot lie it is discouraging :( but I am struggling through and will not give up.

Wishing you all an OP weekend :carrot:

Well just came back from WI and I am up 1 lb this week. Could be because my TOM is next week. I have also been not measuring all the time either so back to measuring all my veggies. My meats are always measured and pre packaged so that is good. This weight gain just showed me that I am not perfect and need to really focus on the program a bit more. Off to Vegas again next weekend so I will miss my WI next week, so looking forward to a nice number after I come back the following Friday.

I do have one NSV while I was at my IP appointment today I was asked to come in next week for their meeting they have about the program and speak to folks that will be new to the program. They thought I would be a good person since I have lost almost 70 lbs in 4 months and one of their clients that have lost so much in a short period of time. I really felt great about that and honored. So I am looking forward to doing that next week.

I hope everyone has a great day. Congrats to all WI's and NVS's today.

My scales have been like that too, and I am wondering if I am getting a little lax on measuring. Good reminder! Thanks!! WOW 70 in 4 months, crazy! Good job!

So I went to make my lunch today (day 5) Usually I have lettuce- romaine, and 2 cups of raw veggies and 2 eggs (1 w/o yoke) but today...after 1 cup of saute'd zucchini..I forced down my eggs...there is just no way I can fit a salad in :( I'll try to get it this evening...but after the meal and my mini-meal of vitamins...I'm so full! It's weird

I'm doing alternative products and this is day 5! Today was the first morning I had hunger pains but since I am at work, I ignored them until I could eat lunch. Also out of my EAS Shakes so had a Vanilla Shake Drink from NLD (100 cal, 14 p, 7carbs, 1.5 fat). It wasn't too horrible - mixed in some ice and some ice coffee mix - it started to thicken quick so now I know how fast it becomes pudding.

Had dinner out last night at Timberline - roasted chicken, green beans, and house salad with my own WF dressing.

Going to store this weekend for lots of veggies to cook and chicken. I am also adding an extra PP bar to my day if I go work out at Curves. Playing softball next month too so have to add that in. I weigh in on Monday.

You all are an inspiration! I feel so much better this week but it has not been easy. I am so glad we have this board!

Congrats to all the losers out there~

weigh in number 3... down 1 lb. I'm comfortable with that considering how hard my week was. I also talked my coach into letting me have 1 restricted a day, stocked up on omelets and chocolate drinks and am hoping to get to 3 packets a day easily! I have cinnamon apple, peanut butter and chocolate puffs for everyday snack! I'm really excited!

How do I know when I can get my ticker thing?

I love my restricted too, but it is 7 days and if it makes a difference I can do it. I have to get back to exercising, I walk my dogs but that is about it. I am still not comfortable going to a gym, plus money factor, but am going to try doing cardio at home... and running a bit, my dogs like chasing me... and chewing on my hand as I run... she is a great old dog but when we run together she wants to play. Have a great day.

FANTASTIC job! Welcome to ONEderland! I'm so happy for you. You are doing such a great job.

So I had WI# 11 last night and finally had a loss more than .8 lbs! Down 2.4 lbs this week. I don't WI for 10 more days because my clinic is closed next week so I had my husband 'unhide' the scale temporarily so I know the difference between mine and the clinic (.8 lb difference).

I absolutely know how some of you become scale whores... I got out of the shower, ran downstairs to the scale (by the front door) to weigh myself this morning. Although I felt a bit pathetic (naked in the foyer), I did see the 140's for the first time in a long time. I'm excited to complete this phase of the journey and move to the next.

Stay OP this weekend, my IP friends. It is worth it... even for us 'slow losers'. I'm still averaging a little less than 2.5 lbs per week, but it is so worth it to see the changes in my body and my attitude!

Hello Everyone :)

What is "boot camp"?

I was really dissapointed with my 1st WI... Only down 2.7 but I lost ~7 inches so that was a bit more encouraging. I'm in for WI #2 tomorrow morning so we'll see how that goes :)

Hey everyone - busy week - haven't been on and won't be on much this weekend.

I moved my weigh ins from Mondays to Thursdays so had WI #8 last night (finally counted lol) - and I'm still confused on the results.

Easter weekend I did pretty good staying away from candy - had a few small dark chocolate things but considering everything I did refuse and not eat that was pretty good. That being said - I was bored and found that I eat when i'm bored and ate way too much protein - even stuff like sausage/bacon.

WI #8 had me gain 5 lbs. - little more than I expected, however - here's what's confused me.

WI #6 - weight 295.2, bf% 36.2 - Muscle Mass 179.2
WI #7 - weight 292.0, bf% 33.5 - Muscle Mass 184.8
WI #8 - weight 297.0, bf% 29.6 - Muscle Mass 198.8

What's confusing me is according to the clinics scale I've gained almost 20 lbs. in muscle over the last 2.5 weeks and shed 15 lbs. of fat and a total of 6.5% body fat. I'm not working out at all, I did go golfing one day - a 30 minute walk another - and easter weekend I was a glutton of fatty food but did play in the pool w/ my daughter every day for 4 days and carried her on my shoulders around the zoo (prob about a mile of walking w/ her 37 lb. frame on my shoulders).

I can see gaining some muscle from those activities - but certainly not 20 lbs. worth. Also - my home Omron handheld monitor has been more consistant with the bf% around 33% still.

Is there something that can cause a scale to read dramatically off? Normally I would think this was a 1 week fluke but 2 WI in a row showing a similar trend. Comments would be appreciated.

And btw - if the scale is accurate and I traded 5 lbs. of weight gain to shed 10 lbs. of fat then that is a huge SV for me despite the gain.

Got my shopping done last night. I had a very hectic morning so I changed from the morning Protein Drink to eggbeaters and turkey bacon. I'm having a salad with light Italian dressing. My protein drink will be my evening snack and dinner will be some more salad with some chicken. The family is coming in today and I have to be very mindful of my eating. I don't want anyone trying to coax me into some food that's off plan.

I would be careful about adding too much extra for the workout.
Those pp bars have 200 calories!
I w/o for over an hour a day at a pretty high intensity and I find an extra packet or 1 egg snd 1 white is adequate. I have lost no muscle mass.

Those scales are very dependant on hydration. You need to look at your water numbers to see if they are also increasing. Muscle mass should correlate to increased hydration. The bf% trend should be right, but the absolute numbers can be off, or that's what my coach says.

I have also had fluctuations in bf %. I just can't see that it is possible to gain 5 pounds of muscle in a week without steroids!!!
