Beachbella- you look amazing!! I bet you feel amazing with that 50 lbs gone forever!

Last night was a rough night. My husband, son and I ran hours worth of errands and they were starving so, while I sucked down loads of water, they ate at a local burger joint - in the car- so the smell was intoxicating. We had just a few more stops at the mall and they both wanted icecream and I tried to keep my mind occupied. We finally made it home and I had chicken and a huge salad. It was one of my few "I feel bad for myself" moments. Well, today is a new day and the scale moved and I realized I'm officially 40 pounds down today!!! I feel fabulous and love IP!

Happy Sunday, y'all!

I had this a few weeks back. I had the fun job of passing the french fries to my toddler in the back seat. I hear you! But, look at how well you did. You made it through! And had a huge salad when you got home. I'm really proud of you.

What helped me was thinking about something I read in someone's signature somewhere. "don't give up what you want most for what you want now." that really is a saying to live by. Enjoy your day and congratulations again.

Susie B- Sorry to hear about your father in law. I hope he has a little time left for y'all to spend with him. Your family is in my thoughts/prayers

And thanks everyone for the responses about calories/carbs, soy sauce and restricted foods! My coach said it was ok for one per day, but I think I might skip the restricted foods for the next couple of weeks so that I can get off to a really good start.

Woot! Woot! That is fantastic...not to mention you're almost in ONEderland!!!! Sooooo psyched for you!!!!:carrot:

Jaclyn06---baggy clothes---good problem to have, although I understand the $$$ of having to buy new ones--buy stuff that makes you feel fab! U deserve it! :carrot::carrot::carrot:

2Manysizes--I am sorry for your loss---I don't want to speak for SusieB, but I know in times of loss it has helped me to know that someone else "gets it" when I am going through difficult times.. :)

Pegsi--While I think it is great that you have dropped lots and need to get rid of the "fat clothes"--I have done that in the past and ended up having to buy new clothes again when the weight (inevitably) came back on, because I am a chronic yo-yo-er. My suggestion is that you get the out of your closet, pakcing them away in a small corner of the garage or basement (out of sight, out of mind). Just my 2 cents, of course.

Pxlkitty--great job staying with protocol---sounds like you were usin' your noggin--and some willpower to boot!

Happy Friday everyone!

Congratulations on those who had WI's and on the NSVs!

I know it hasn't been long but I have already noticed something missing from my life since being on IP: anxiety attacks, irritability, digestive problems and bouts of "depression" (I use quotations because any professional that I've seen says that it's not "depression", it's just "the blues" but I beg to differ). I am wondering if this will keep up? I am also wondering which is the culprit: refined sugar or gluten? I've had the blood test for celiac twice in the past and it came back negative but... wow! I feel like my old self again (before marriage and children and so on)!

It's denim day at work today and my jeans (size 15) were fitting a little loose around the waist and it made my stomach look puffy... so, I went out at lunchtime and I tried some on that were the same brand: I would have gone from a size 15 to a size 11!!! ...but I thought that the 11 looked a bit tight (although the salesgirl insisted they would stretch) and the price was $36, which is not bad but I decided to wait (the size 13 was loose and I don't want to pay too much for something I hope will be too big soon).

So, I went to another store and I found THE perfect pair of jeans for $19.99 (+ tax)! Size 13!!! :carrot: I am so happy! I wear jeans every weekend and they are a bit tight but they look fantastic and I've already received comments from at least 2 different colleagues! For now, I will just wash in cold water and hang dry and if they become loose, I can wash in warmer water and throw them in the dryer!

I also bought nail polish! ...I haven't done that in a long time! This process is making me into a "girly girl" again! I actually care about "me". Today was about "me"... not my kids... not my husband... "me"!

I also picked up my next week's worth of IP groceries (week 3) and I am looking forward to trying the apple cinamon soy puffs and some restricted items (spaghetti, choco-raspberry bar). I am also looking forward to having salt and vinegar ridges again! I feel like I just made a "junk food" run! ;) Of course, I will make sure to only have one (R) per day and to spread them out but I mostly like them for the weekends! ...but WI is on Monday at lunch time (mid-day with clothes), so I have to be careful!

I think I am going to get on the WII Fit Plus this weekend and see how that feels!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! :)

I've also noticed the lake of mood swings, stress headaches and anxiety. I think it's sugar for me. Also, I was talking about it to a friend who stopped using sugar after new years. She had started sugar again and when I talked about the lower mood swings she realized that she was getting mood swings again a work. She realized that sugar is also her enemy.

Funny, I've bought those french manicure fake nails at wal mart. THey look great and last 1 week. They make me feel cute. (Sometimes I get dirstracted by them when I write on the computer - smaller hands, cute nails - WTH? HAHA)

Are you drinking a lot of water with the pills? I've found that the potassium pills give me awful stomach ach if I don't have IP food/drink in my stomach first and if I don't drink a lot of water with it. The fish oil piles do the same.

Will I do alot of damage to myself if I drink this to get rid of the infection, not too mention it is becoming very uncomfortable! I don`t want to go to the ER and pay a big bill just to get an antibiotic.

I've used cranberry pills. If caught early I don't need the anitbiotics. Take like 5 in the morning and at night before bed for 2-3 days then go to 3 twice per day then 1-2 twice per day. Usually works for me.

You know, in general I really like my coach, but she really does say the craziest things... First, she is 100% convinced I'm cheating because my losses have been inconsistent. I'm not. I'd tell her if I were because it does me no good if I lie about what's going on.

She also keeps saying I am 'guaranteed' to lose 4-5 pounds per week on IP. What a crock. I know more about this than she does from this forum alone. I just don't know how to ramp up my weight loss. I've gone back to one restricted per day for this week to see if it helps.

We'll see how this week goes. My Mom comes into town on Wednesday. I'm not sure if I'm more concerned about her making a big deal about the fact I'm doing IP or that she might not notice the 17 lb loss. (I know, very similar to what others have posted over the past few weeks...)

What a crazy coach. I'd drop her. I'm sure you have enough craziness (as we all have) in your life and don't need someone like that (especially if you are paying for it!).

OK I have a question. I am a total coffee creamer person. I love all the Coffeemate flavors with my coffee. Now that I have been doing IP I have been using skim milk. Well today at the store I found a hazelnut creamer made from coconut milk it is gulten free. There are 0 fat, 0 cholesterol, 0 sodium, 1 g carbohydrate, 0 sugars, 0 protein. Would this be OK to add to my coffee in the morning?

I use the IP chocolate pudding, it makes the coffe so creamy! Also use the splenda flavored coffees with skim milk.

I've been trying all sorts of teas. My favorite latelly is chocolaty chai and chocolaty mint by president choice. I've been to 8 cake parties on IP and I've had no cake! Hang in there!

Well hello my IP buddies!

I bet you guys think I feel off the face of the earth or I dropped out of IP. Nope, I'm still at it and still bootcamping this plan. I'm doing pretty good with about a 2 pound loss a week ( I feel like I'm on a slow boat to china) 3 more inches off at my last WI. I was pretty happy about that. My little weight tracker hasn't been updated since my 2nd WI, I think, but this is where I was standing as of last Thursay. Weight 116.2, my measurements are 34 3/4 - 26 1/4 - 35 1/4, arms 10 1/4 & thigh 17 1/2. Don't know if I told you guys that I dropped my goal weight 2 weeks ago. I'm now aiming for 110, coach said he would let me drop that one more time, but that was it. I THINK I need to find happiness with 110.

Yesterday was the worst day ever. I had murder on my mind and I have no idea why. I have read on here that this can send your harmones all over the place, making you cry for no reason and making you really *****y. It hasn't effected me that way, until yesterday (if that was the problem) IDK. Boy my hubby avoided me like a train wreck... LOL.

Since week #1 on this plan, I have had so much going on at work and then I started spring cleaning about 3 weekends ago. I blame my tiredness on work, until I kicked off the cleaning spell, since that cleaning fairy won't come for a visit ($itch!) then it dawned on me that it's this plan. I usually push myself real hard for about 2.5 hours, then I need a nap before I continue. Last night I started taking B complex and I'm hoping that will give me a little boost, so that I can get this down. 4000 sq feet of house is a boatload of cleaning, let me tell ya.

As some of you know, I survived on IP pudding (except "pledge" Lemon) & RTD's in my coffee in the morning. Did you guys know that Blueberry pudding will be in by the end of the month? BRING IT, BABY!! Also they have brought back Dark Chocolate pudding, so much better then milk chocolate.

I hope everyone is doing good and getting their weight off. Tho I may not be here much anymore, I'm here in spirit! I miss you guys!

Happy Sunday!

And here ya go.... this is for us! :cheer2:

Now back to my cleaning.

I had to loose a little over 20 pounds before people noticed and still some did not make a comment. To this day some people don't make a comment. Lol really go from a size 14, no fitted clothing to a size 6 and tops are fitted, tucked in pants with a belt. I can't figure that out and I have decided to move on like I don't know it. I have lost a lot of weight, feel great and that is all that matters. I appreciate the support and kind words I have received from my friends on this forum. Judy

Judy, I'm so glad you shared this! I saw a close friend the other day for the first time in a couple of weeks. I haven't told anyone but my family I'm on IP. I was determined to not talk about it unless someone noticed, and even then, not say too much. Well she was giving me a hard time about not having a dessert with her, an when I said it looked amazing, but I really couldn't, she asked if I was losing weight. When I said, 'Yeah, I have, actually. 20 lbs in 5 weeks', she just said 'oh, well I thought you looked fine'.

Now, she's someone who's probably never tried to lose weight, is tall & has a lean look no matter what she weighs, but we've been friends for over 20 years, during which I mostly weighed30-40 lbs less than I was this last while.

For some reason, I really had to work hard to shake off her response to something that was so important to me. Makes me all the more thankful for the people on this forum. Honestly don't know what I'd do without 3FC.

Thanks, Kelly

WI #1 was yesterday and I lost exactly 6 pounds!! And a total of 5 inches!!! I'm so excited!

AND I've had my first "cheating" dream lol. I feel officially initiated.

RONDAR.....Nice to hear from you....I've missed you :) Thanks for the JC Penny advice and actually that's exactly where I'm headed today. I like them because they have Tall and that's usually what I need and I figure there should be a sale on all winter clothes so I should be able to pick up a few for a good price. Thanks for your advice!!!

How are you doing? We entered the 150's together are we going to leave them together :) I know for me it's been slow going but at least it's going :)

Thanks, Judy. You are one of my IP Heros. I love your no-nonsense approach and realistic approach. :)

I just wish they could get more of the coaches up to speed with the program. Think of how many people are out there plugging along without the support we have here.

Ok...off to go "drink" my lunch, choke down some more broccoli, and then I have to study! I taking my comps for my PhD (big test---when I pass I get to continue on to my internship!!) in a few weeks and right now I am working on statistics. :barf:. I hate stats almost as much as I hate veggies!! :)
