Sorry to read about the BI. I have a close friend who swears that eating juniper berries helps heal and keep them away after that.

Thanks to those who answered my question about the bladder infection...I feel alot better now, without going to the ER and getting an antibiotic. Hopefully it will stay this way and not come back!

I really had a bad week. I was really down in the dumps and started off my Thursday with some Cabernet! Then I did OK on Friday and then Saturday went on to the Chardonnay!!! Alright,,, I did not give up wine for lent!! It is really sad, I know, but I just had to get something out of my system> Today I went to mass at my daughters school, and after we had a luncheon. I tried to be very good but ate cheese and meatballs!! This is the first time I have ever cheated on this diet!! I feel so bad that I gave in to my sucky temptations!!!

Like you, I went to Whole Foods and found the different "non-Diary" beverages. I bought the plain coconut milk, and have used it in the IP Cappucino Drink and the IP Lemon pudding. Since it only has the one gram of carb per 8 ounces, and the drinks call for 5 oz, I haven't found it causing great "harm". The consistency is so much thicker with the coconut milk that it makes the drinks really yummy!!!!

So long answer short, it is probably better for you in the long run than skim milk.

OK I have a question. I am a total coffee creamer person. I love all the Coffeemate flavors with my coffee. Now that I have been doing IP I have been using skim milk. Well today at the store I found a hazelnut creamer made from coconut milk it is gulten free. There are 0 fat, 0 cholesterol, 0 sodium, 1 g carbohydrate, 0 sugars, 0 protein. Would this be OK to add to my coffee in the morning?

Good idea---but I am not a salt and vinegar fan. I will try just the salt, though. Thx!

Oh well... Life goes on!
Pick up tomorrow where you left off! Don't stress over what you can't change.

Thank you so much! It has been a lot easier than any other diet I have tried, and I have basically been on one diet or another since age 8, when I got bullied for being fat. the veggies has been my biggest problem. I find it easy to follow the diet, and know what I am going to eat each day, but getting 4 cups of veggies in, is HARD. I bought the chicken soup and HATE it so today I steamed some cauliflower and peeled zucchini until it was really soft and mashed it together with salt and garlic powder. then I made a gravy out of the chicken soup and poured it on top...it was actually pretty good. I didn't even taste the veggies too much.

Try the cucumbers and salt, because it is a good way to get your salt in, and makes them taste much better.

Have you tried snacking on red peppers? They are one of the few veggies I like. They are crunchy and sweet.

Well today is a historic day for me....I actually purchased 2 pairs of pants 1 jeans and 1 work pants in a size 8 and they are not tight!!!! I can't believe it. I don't remember a time in my adult life (and I'm 44) that I have worn a size 8. I am absolutely ecstatic!!!!!

Man oh man I love this diet!!!!

For all you veggie haters out there, I to am not a huge fan however, I have found that roasting them in the oven or under the broiler with a little EVOO is a fantastic way to prepare them. I have never liked cauliflower or broccoli, but if I roast it it tastes fantastic especially the cauliflower. I also roast zucchini, mushrooms, and asparagus. Have you tried sauteing them and having them over your evening meat. Personally I love a good steak with some sauteed mushrooms and zucchini...YUM!!!!
