Hi Everyone,

I really find reading these daily threads (among others) helpful. This is only my third day and I was worried about the first weekend being difficult. I'm not anymore!...I feel better than I have in months (physically/emotionally) and I'm finding the food quite tasty so far.

Seeing so many amazing results on here really keeps me motivated! Whenever I feel disappointed in having let myself gain this weight in the first place...I remember reading (not verbatim) that this is last day I will be this weight - & that keeps me hopeful.

I hope everyone has a great weekend & WI :)

Welcome! So glad to hear all is going well for you....you have a great attitude so you will go far...my first few days were great too...days 4 & 5 not so much so just be prepared in case. If you can get through week 1 ur good to go!

Hooray Hooray, only a 2 pound weight gain after my vacation to WDW and eatting anything and everything in sight!! I'll take the 2 pounds for the 10 days of vacation any day!! So I am 137 now and I need to be 124 to go to phase 2. My short term goal is now 124, only 13 pounds to go!!

Congratulations!! We are going in a few weeks and am not sure how this will affect me...kind of thinking to enjoy myself. Did you use any IP protein items when you were there? We are pretty much at the same starting/current weights.

SPECTACULAR!!!1 I would love to chat with you about WDW, as I am going there for the first time in June. I am so super excited.

I will be in Disneyworld for three weeks this June as well. This will be our fourth trip. I can't wait.

Looks like you're doing great! Which alternative products do you like? I don't mind buying the IP soups - they are yummy but the drinks, puddings and bars get expensive.

I use 100% Whey Protein powder from GNC and sometimes have pure protein bars. Mostly just make shakes from the powder. Chocolate and Cookies & Cream, I also use Isopure Zero Carb creamy vanilla protein powder from GNC too. I do not have variety, just trudging along and getting this done.

My suggestion is to def make reservations at the restaurants you want to eat at. Also the menus are online so you can get an idea of what they have. I also loved the turkey legs for a quick snack during the day.

Tired Today
 
I'm so tired today.....I forgot to take my breakfast and lunch supplements. Urg. I just read that the calcium could work against my thyroid medication. Why didn't my coach tell me that??? Ugh. Anyway, about two months on IP - Gone from 160 to 137 - My goal was 135 but I've changed to 130 (greedy me) I'm finding I'm more hungry now than I was in the beginning. Vacation is in May. London and Ireland - that will be Hard.....but it won't be as bad as Italy and France where the food is better! (at least to me)

That's great.....I'm hoping to get to Phase II before I head out for vaca in May.

Happy Friday everyone!

Congratulations on those who had WI's and on the NSVs!

I know it hasn't been long but I have already noticed something missing from my life since being on IP: anxiety attacks, irritability, digestive problems and bouts of "depression" (I use quotations because any professional that I've seen says that it's not "depression", it's just "the blues" but I beg to differ). I am wondering if this will keep up? I am also wondering which is the culprit: refined sugar or gluten? I've had the blood test for celiac twice in the past and it came back negative but... wow! I feel like my old self again (before marriage and children and so on)!

It's denim day at work today and my jeans (size 15) were fitting a little loose around the waist and it made my stomach look puffy... so, I went out at lunchtime and I tried some on that were the same brand: I would have gone from a size 15 to a size 11!!! ...but I thought that the 11 looked a bit tight (although the salesgirl insisted they would stretch) and the price was $36, which is not bad but I decided to wait (the size 13 was loose and I don't want to pay too much for something I hope will be too big soon).

So, I went to another store and I found THE perfect pair of jeans for $19.99 (+ tax)! Size 13!!! :carrot: I am so happy! I wear jeans every weekend and they are a bit tight but they look fantastic and I've already received comments from at least 2 different colleagues! For now, I will just wash in cold water and hang dry and if they become loose, I can wash in warmer water and throw them in the dryer!

I also bought nail polish! ...I haven't done that in a long time! This process is making me into a "girly girl" again! I actually care about "me". Today was about "me"... not my kids... not my husband... "me"!

I also picked up my next week's worth of IP groceries (week 3) and I am looking forward to trying the apple cinamon soy puffs and some restricted items (spaghetti, choco-raspberry bar). I am also looking forward to having salt and vinegar ridges again! I feel like I just made a "junk food" run! ;) Of course, I will make sure to only have one (R) per day and to spread them out but I mostly like them for the weekends! ...but WI is on Monday at lunch time (mid-day with clothes), so I have to be careful!

I think I am going to get on the WII Fit Plus this weekend and see how that feels!

Congrats! I'm so happy for you! I know how you feel. I really feel like a fog has lifted since I've been on this diet. It isn't like I'm euphoric, but some of the 'emotions' that led to poor eating habits have not had an impact on my life. Doesn't it feel incredible???

Have a great weekend and enjoy your new jeans. I went 'closet shopping' this a.m., convinced a pair of pants would finally fit me but they didn't... :( They were too big!!! :D

The place to post progress photos is always in the open post of the daily chat thread:
Progress photos have been moved to the Mini-Goal Photo Album.
Just start a new Thread. Scroll towards the bottom where it says Additional Options and click Manage Attachments.
