I ordered the puddings: vanilla, chocolate & butterscotch (I still did not taste any of them yet). Soups: peas, chicken noodle and beef vegetables (I tried the beef vegetables one yesterday, so yummy). Blueberry pancake & Crunchy Cereal Caramel bar (did not try yet) and the Protidiet Protein Soy Cereals - Honey Nut which I had for breakfast today and it was much more than delicious.

I typical day for me is usually a bar or cereal for breakfast (unless I don't want to have a restricted, I opt for something else than a bar like a shake for example), for lunch almost always it is a soup for me with boiled vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflowers, zucchinis, etc. I usually mix the soup package with my mashed boiled vegetables which makes them kind of like mashed potato), for my snack, it's almost always a shake or a pudding that I bring with me to work and usually have it at around 3 pm, and for supper, I eat ''normal'' food whether it is beef, pork, fish, chicken or 2 boiled eggs with vegetables.

How do they compare with IP products do they taste similar? Thanks just kind of curious as maybe later on I will go this route for snacks.

As I mentioned I still did not taste everything I ordered, but what I already did, I found the tast quite good, the cereals were like heaven sent, so yummy.

As for the nutritional value, not exactly the same as IP but pretty close.

I purchased two RTD vanilla drinks and one box of oatmeal at the Dr. B clinic today. The total came to exactly $40! Three boxes of IP food costs $87. I will be ordering food from the Proteinwell website next week. Buying alternatives will save me a lot of money. My weight loss has slowed to 2 pounds per week. At this rate it will take me another month to reach my goal.

I find this to be good, they have lots of protein powders and bars that I might be able to buy (still have to compare the nutritional value).

This is a good tool....now if could figure out the dollar fluctuation and your credit card fees for the actual cost on your credit card too. The US$ is up today $1.015 at my banks foreign exchange company. Buying the products in Canada definately makes some sence if they are comparable in pricing.

I buy thru Dr. B's clinic RTD 12$ for 6 @ 100 Cal 250ml??? and atkins RTD shake are $7.99 @ London drugs @ 150 cals but 325ml I enjoy both. I havent been able to find anything @ costco in the last bit in RTD not even the chocolate now...... but I prefer Vanilla only. Will have to go to bellingham and take a look at the costco there

Can anyone tell me where I can buy rhubarb in Canada? preferably in Quebec if possible.

I heard lots of people talking about it, how good it is with Splenda (and totally on program). I never tasted it in my life and would like to. I never found it in the grocery, looked in the frozen section of some supermarkets and did not find it.

I would really like to try it.

Also, did anyone find the miracle noodle locally, or do we have to buy it online?

Does Quebec have Safeway??? (sorry if that sounds ignorant!)....I know my gf in Halifax doesn't then again, Halifax is quite far from Quebec too. Anyway, I buy my rhubarb there.

I also saw the noodles at Safeway....I have also seen them at nutters. I bought some but I'm too scared to try. I'm looking for a veggie spiraler (sp?) to make noodles out of zucchini.

I had an expensive but productive day today. I switched to alternatives six weeks ago and seemed to run out of IP supplements all at once today. So off I went to the drugstore. Everything was OK except for potassium. Sara (mom3) had asked about how many mgs are in the IP potassium and I think I told her 800. Can that be right or do I have the unit of measurement wrong? I threw out the container. After much searching I found potassium at the drugstore but only 50mg in a tablet.

I had ordered my first bunch of products at proteinwell.ca. That was free shipping for a $100 order and very quick service. They didn't have the snackie things though, just the bars.

Then I noticed online New Lifestyles had a deal on a starter kit for their stuff.$19.99 for two weeks worth of food so I ordered that but I did have to pay $14.00 for shipping. It was OK, but I didn't find the stuff as filling as IP and the annoying thing was when I made the puddings as puddings and stored them in the fridge overnight to take in my lunch they didn't set. So lunch was a salad and 4 ounces of liquid gunk.

By this morning I was down to my last packet of either product but do have RTD shakes from Costco.
I had put in an order at Nashua two weeks and a bit ago. It is free shipping in the US for a $100 order but not to Canada. I put in an order for $120 but then had to pay $40 shipping. It came today and I had to pay $14.65 duty at the post office. It seemed like a lot of money but when I unpacked it it sure is a lot of food. I ordered a HeathSmart starter kit which was a really good deal along with other things. Then they threw in samples of Proti thin stuff too.

I have 10 pounds left to goal, I think all that I got today will get me well down the road to that.
I think I will enjoy the variety but if I have to reorder I'll likely stick with proteinwell. It has excellent service and is cheaper due to the no shipping fee.

I got some "Protein bits" which is similar to Cheezies. I dropped one on the floor and our old kitty went crazy for it chopping it down loudly then climbing up to look for more. So there is one firm endorsement about the taste of Nashua products.
