Premier Nutrition RTDs

A big "Thank-you" to I'm Svelting for suggesting the Premier Nutrition RTD shakes available at Costco. They only had chocolate, but I just tried one and it's pretty tasty. The case of 18 was $28.49, compared to $32.00 for 6 IP RTDs (which I chose not to buy on my last visit). That's $1.58 each instead of $5.33--a big saving, so thank you very much indeed!:thanks::thanks::thanks:

Just spotted these RTDs at Costco today too...better price than IP ($3.75 each) and Dr. B ($2 each), plus they contain double the protein! Glad to hear that they're good. I also saw Pure Protein and Detour protein bars at Costco too. If you only eat bars a few times a week, these would be good substitutes.

Stina, Thanks for the tip. I didn't see the bars, but I will look if I go again--I was a guest on a friend's membership.

The RTDs are pretty good, but my fave is still the IP chocolate pudding as a shake--I just love how substantial it is even with 10-12 oz of water, and it is very chocolatey compared to most other products--but the Premier Nutrition are not bad, and for the cost saving I'll do my best to get used to them!:)

I wish I could take credit for it. Midlife Meggie's sister found them! original post. I picked up a case on a special trip to Costco with my mother and am enjoying them as late afternoon snack or for lunches at work. I might even get a Costco membership to keep these babies in stock!

I would really like to try the Premier Nutrition RTD shakes, but haven't been able to find them at the Saskatoon Costco. I checked in the pharmacy area near the other meal supplements and protein containers, and near the protein bars but no such luck :(

Where have you lucky ladies found them at Costco?

I found mine in the pharmacy area. They're packed in a cardboard box, not a "flat" with shrink-wrap. I may still have the carton in the recycling bin. If that's true, I'll describe the box to you. The website is premiernutrition [dot] com The photos of the boxes may help you find them.

Pinky, I'm in Toronto and I'm Svelting is also in the GTA. I found them at the Scarborough Costco.

Another thing you might look for at Costco if you like mushrooms is a 454g/1 lb container of dried mushrooms. At $14.99 it is a total deal! It's about 4 litres of dried shrooms, which when rehydrated would be a huge amount. The mushrooms are mixed porcini, oyster, ****ake and one kind I've never heard of before. I know from recent shopping that these start at about $8/lb fresh. I'm using a LOT of mushrooms in soups, stews and omelettes, so this is a big bargoon for me.

Ooh let me know if you find them, I'm heading there on Sunday -or if I find them I'll let you know!

Pinky 09-16-2010 09:49 PM

kju - I'm so happy to see a 'local' here. :) Do you live in Saskatoon? Are you going to a coach, or are you doing this on your own? My coach lives a couple of hours away, but is available by phone or Blackberry messenger when I have questions.

I phoned Costco and a very helpful person looked up the Premier Nutrition shakes for me, and said they DO have them! :carrot:

She said to look for them in the pharmacy section (already did that...) and that they should be near the blueberry drinks. Haven't seen them before, so will look a little harder when I go tomorrow afternoon.

I'll let you know how I make out tomorrow!

Success! I found the Premier Nutrition shakes at Costco. kju, they are on the far wall in the pharmacy section, halfway down the same aisle as the contact lens solution, etc.

I was just going to tell you I found them on Sunday - right where you said lol.

I am going to a coach but I live in a rural area and it's a pain to go every week - I am going to cutback to twice a month.

Product Availability Alert: EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control

Hi All,

A while ago I reported that EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control products are not available in Canada, even directly from EAS. Well, I visited the Low Carb Grocery and mentioned that I was looking for this product, and they offered to see about getting it in. And now I see that LowCarb Grocery has come through on my request!:carrot: How's that for great customer service!:D

EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control RTDs are now available on line and I assume also in store.

Price is $9.52 for a 4 pack. That's $2.38 each. They are carrying 3 flavours: chocolate fudge, French vanilla, and caramel.

Netrition Delivery to Canada?

Hi All,

Has anyone ordered from Netrition for delivery to Canada? Their prices are so good that I'm tempted, but I was wondering about time for delivery (2 days or 2 weeks?), and added costs for duty and international delivery.

I have ordered from Nashua Nutrition from the ProtiThin, ProtiDiet, Protein Wealth and HealthSmart sections, just have to check out the carb content for each product first. But I have ordered twice from them and when it was delivered I had to pay a $5 handling fee plus HST, but it still worked out to $1.75 a pack! I love the hot chocolate from Health Smart and the liquid concentrate drinks from ProtiDiet!
