I asked my coach too about any new changes, she seemed to know but wasnt sure, she said she never worried about a few more grams of protien. Then I asked her about the bell peppers, she said we can eat them all but always raw.
Maybe they need update meetings time to time. Imagine at work if your patients or clients knew more then you, and they were paying you lol I would feel pretty bad if my patients were always asking me things I didnt know. |
Good point
You make a mighty fine point there, my dear...and thanks for sharing. It's funny how different coaches have so many different theories on things. Mine doesn't advocate peppers, other than green, in any shape or form (except for the occasional veggie) so guess we'll trudge on till they announce it up here.
Thanks again! |
Hello fellow CDN IPers!
Just wanted to properly introduce myslef... My name is Ginger, I started IP on January 24th & have since lost 20lbs (for good!) Also, a good friend of mine & fellow IPer introduced me to a very kool store, so I thought I'd share the info, in case anyone else also lives in the Ottawa/Gatineau region... All IP products, all WF products & Miracle noodles can be bought at: Gagnez en Santé at 224 Bellehumeur, Gatineau, Québec, J8T 8N6 819-561-6727 www.gagneensante.com You can purchase everything there, whether you have an IP coach or not, or even if your coach is at another location. |
WF in organic products aisle at IGA
My coach has finially heard of the new regulations: Restricted are allowed since day 1 (not more than 1 a day!) and more meat (200g) instead of the fish/meat old rules... Anyone found Premier nutrition Vanilla shakes at Costco? |
Hello Everyone,
This information was so helpful I just read through all the posts. I am planning to start IP in a couple weeks. To prepare I have been trying to find a coach but so far nobody has returned my emails. I work in Markham and live in Stoney Creek so really if anyone knows any good rates along the 401, 427, 403, or QEW please let me know. It seems like if I can't find a coach I can do it on my own with substitutes thanks to the wealth of information on this site. The only thing I was wondering is how much do IP supplements cost on average and where can you buy them? The only thing I have seen online is the coaching office on Woodbine Ave in Markham charges $100/week and I can't afford that :( |
$100/week is pretty standard i'm afraid...your paying for vitamins & packets ($4-$5 each x 21 packets a week for phase 1) look here -> http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/idea...deas-tips.html for alternatives to IP packets that people have used and still lost weight on. Hope that helps!

Coach in area?
Hi there,
Saw you post and if you'd be willing to come eastward toward Grimsby, my chiopractor there has a separate area for IP and has a good coach. He has a lot of people that come from Toronto and further for his services and there are lots of his clients participating in IP, myself included. If you'd like more info, I'd be more than happy to give you details. The cost will run you around $90/wk. on phase 1 anywhere you go, and can cost a lot more at some places. But, I do know my chiropractor has tried to keep costs to a minimum to help others. Check out the link to the alternative products for a cheaper way to go but remember that IP has the amino acids and other things to help restore the body back to a proper balance. Hugs, Mary |
Hi,
I don't post much, but started IP in Sept. I stayed on plan for about 3 months and then found it too expensive but liked the results. I have continued to lose weight by finding a variety of comparable products that I can get in Canada or get delivered to Canada. I use the shakes from Costco..great for me as I work shift work and on call and they can be a life saver! I order from Nashua Nutrition and they have the best selection of thing like protidiet and such that are very comparable..just be sure to check the ingredients..but I can usually get 3 months worth of food for the same as one month of IP and that includes shipping. A trick I did find out and used to my advantage was that our family planned a trip to Disneyland in Feb. so I phoned NashuaNutrition (NN) and asked if they would deliver to my hotel..they said yes..and it would be in the States so I qualified for the free shipping..Great! I phoned our hotel..asked if they would hold my package..Sure they said..Great. So I put this huge order in and had all my food waiting for me at my hotel :) LOVED IT. Next time we go to the States I am definitely doing it again. Another product I love are the Syntrax ones. They are drinks but the flavour is great..usually no aspartame and they have good protien and 0 carbs..(the matrix has 2 carbs) I am in love with them and you can order a good choice of flavours in Canada. try supplementscanada..free shipping with 99.00...if you google syntrax, candada, free shipping you can get a selection. If you order Syntrax from NN you can get them in pre portioned packages which is handy and they have terrific flavours like Strawberry Mousse..Yum..Vanilla Bean Torte..it is like desert in a glass:) I can attribute most of my weight loss to Syntrax.. Another product I love is the Ostrim. They are believe it or not Ostrich meat. You can get jerky sticks and they are low carb and hight protien..very handy to have on hand. I just found a place online called http://www.proteinwell.ca/ It has free shipping in Canada over 99.00 I am trying to see if the price difference is going to be cheaper or more expensive once I factor in the shipping differences. NN still might be cheaper. NN always sends me samples. I am still looking for good deals and ways to do this at home without having to buy IP..Not bashing IP..I would not be where I am without it. They got me started and I am forever thankful. I just needed to make it affordable... Another great thing I found..is Presidents Choice Greek Yogurt..not on plan but I think 18 grams of Protien and no fat and 8 carbs ( not sure of the carbs..but I LOVE it.. Hope this helps those who are trying to find their way in the Canadian Market of finding comparable products..it can be done! Oh I get potassium from Costco at the pharmacy.. Blessings, Ciebelle |
Alternate products
Ciebelle,
Where are you from? You can always get a U.S. mailing address and get the alternate products shipped there. Thanks for all the good info about the products...I think that's what I'm going to have to do. I got so waylaid from my progress with the diet because of times away from home. First a trip to Haiti and then I hadn't been home hardly any time and got a call to come see my dad in Kentucky if I wanted a quality conversation with him. I was there for a month. I've only been home a short time but as soon as I got home, I got results from an MRI on my shoulder and am now facing shoulder surgery. I talked with the coach I had and I'm concerned about being on such a low calorie diet when I have the surgery. I should find out more about a date this week or next but may try some alternates to keep the cost down as the surgery is going to cost me a fortune (part of it isn't covered by OHIP). I'm also still a little concerned about the Splenda used in the program and am also looking at a few other alternatives. But, I can say that IP was the first thing that took any weight off me. I'm so thankful for that. Look forward to hearing from you. Hugs, Mary |
I bought 2 times from The Low Carb Grocery (Ontario). First time shipping wasn't that fast (With Post Canada); I ordered friday night and received it on Thursday afternoon, in my mailbox in the middle of the afternoon; When I came from work, the chocolite bar and the Sensato Sugar Free Semi-Sweet Mini Chocolate Chips were liquid; I put them into the fridge but the chocolate chips now looks like a chocolate amount into the bag. But I ordered new stuff this afternoon around 3 p.m (more than 100$ box and the shipping fees were free but I decided to pay 5,75$ for de DHL delivery) at 5 pm, my shipment were already gone from the grocery and will be delivered at my door, that mean no problem with "liquid" chocolate, probably tomorrow or Wednesday :)
I tried the "Bakers Deluxe Muffin Mix Choc Chocolate Chip" with the Low Fat/Calorie Controlled version; But I put tzatziki instead of sour cream (didn't have any sour cream when I did them) and 1 ½ tbsp of butter. They tasted good but probably better with sour cream. Will buy it again for sure. I made the 12 muffin (1 pckt) and will get 2 into the fridge and will freeze the other one. I also tried the "Flatout- Flatbread SUNDRIED TOMATO" and I enjoy it!! I made a "pizza crust" for dinner; you put a Flatbread, put some pizza sauce (I took the Gattuso), put a little bit of mozzarella cheese, mushrooms and green peppers and green olives. It tasted AWESOME!! :) Can't wait to try them as a wrap! :D The only bad point is: they were all stick together and I got trouble to separated them; I were fighting myself with the flatout and a knife trying to make a good job. Will buy it again for sure :) And I felt in love with the "Chocolite Finally! Chocolate Crispy Caramel Bars" I need to put it in the fridge when they arrived home (Mailbox + weather = liquid chocolate) and I kept 2 into the fridge; I ate as a dessert ½ bar after my dinner. 30 calories, 2g fat and 8g carbs and it's enough for my chocolate taste! :) Can't wait to try all my stuff! :) I made an order from Walden Farms Canada two weeks ago and I paid 9,99$ for the shipping fees and 7,99$ for The Low Carb Grocery shipping fees. Today, I decided to combine both; My stuff from TLCG and from WF (Cause they have it at TLCG, they are cheaper than my coach or from the WF website and helps your order to be more than 99$ = free shipping for Ontario & Québec :) |
Has anyone placed an order on http://www.proteinwell.ca/? The prices look reasonable (definitely cheaper than IP), and the product comes from Canada so their is NO chance of hidden/unknown duties.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you know that Sweet Tweets is now selling Waldon Farms products for $5.49 each... She also got in a new 0/0/0 product.
Green Valley Ranch, I bought Thai Curry sauce (really good) and the Hawaiian Sweet and Tangy (pretty good). They also have different salad dressings as well. It was nice for a different taste. She sells them for I think $6.49. Hope this helps someone who needs a change. |
