I left it for your site but, here is my post and tip: I love the new colors! This spring combination seems so much more inline with your personality than the grey/orange combo! Green Tip: This is nothing new in my life and, is actually something my mother encouraged when we were growing up! Buy new-to-you clothing and home decor! Choosing a previously owned handbag saves as much energy as NOT watching TV for 3 days straight. Buying a vintage or previously owned dress saves 95% of the CO2 needed to make a new dress. You can also consider buying furniture and home decor that are "already out there" in "gently used condition". It is less costly to the environment to recover a quality piece than it is to make a new one from scratch! (Did I just hear another tree fall??) I often shop for "second hand" deals. I have some amazing furniture, all pre-owned of great quality (better than I could afford in some cases) and some recovered by me. I love to find vintage things or quality cast offs on ebay too. I buy movies, music, shoes (there are so many that still have tags), hand bags that were hardly used ( I have a gorgeous Coach bag that I coveted in the store at almost 900.00 usd which I got for 149.00 usd and had authenticated by Coach. What a steal!), great clothes, unused pottery barn curtains and so much more. I love going the "recycled" route. It is amazing how much people "consume and don't use". |
Weighed myself yesterday and today and I officially weigh less than my hubby!!! This has been a huge confidence booster as I basically stopped looking at my weight or telling my husband my weight after I started weighing more than him. I rewarded myself with pedicure (yay for red toes) and a new pair of skinny jeans (size 10!!) for my trip to Seattle this weekend :) I also weigh 155 - which means I am halfway to my goal weight of 130 :broc:

I hear "Yes, you must eat the lettuce". I know some others here may say no, that can probably be attributed to our having different coaches. But, read Dr Tran's website, www.trantiendiet.com . He has a video where he explains the need for the veggies and lettuce. I don't always get a large amount of lettuce but I do get it in. It contains water, has some necessary vitamins only found in green leafy things, is low carb, and high fiber. It does help with fullness and constipation too so, don't avoid it entirely. Just a thought, I am sure you have several clients a day as a hygenist. Would you be able to use your chair changes as a point of 1) reminder to drink water and 2) a time to stop briefly and drink a glass? |

Spaghetti Bolognese Mix
on day 4 and I will be having spaghetti mix for lunch...somehow it seems wrong to have this during phase 1 as it has so many carbs in it.
should I go for it or did my couch make a mistake... its looking rather good in front of me. |
Pitakitten.... I too have been cooking by smell for my family. The number of times I have to stop my self leads me to wonder if how many extra calories a day I was ingesting just "testing" :)
Medicyn!!! Woohoo for you!!!!! That must have felt great! Just hearing that has motivated me, I may even attempt a shopping trip soon :) Jordanna - What was the name of the spread you picked up? I saw some at the Diabetic Depot, but was too afraid to try it. Is it allowed on Phase 1? Pitakitten My sheets say that for "maximum" results it is recommended that you have no restricted foods for the first 2-3 weeks. I am not sure how different the programs are betweeen the US and Canada or where you are, but in Canada the spaghetti is considered restricted. However, individuals have different plans with their coaches. Hope that helps :) |

HockeyMom23 and showgirlaz--
Thanks for the words of encouragement. Planning a steak for dinner and will bake the cookies tomorrow. Made the dough but I think I'll wait until the morning to bake. Hopefully, I will be over this starving mode by then. Red meat seems to help at times like this. And I've had plenty of water but will do the omega 3s too. Thanks again. Jordanna - have tried to comment at your blog for 2 days. As I told you before, I like it-- and the new colors too. |

I had the peanut spread for lunch on celery. It wasn't super peanut buttery but it did have a peanut/salty creamy sensation like peanut butter. It has a synthetic taste but wasn't terrible. I think I would try using it in a stir fry or a chicken satay next time...but all in all raw on celery it wasn't too bad. Would I have enjoyed it if I hadn't been on the program for 14 weeks and just really want something that resembles peanut butter...maybe not....shrugs. |
