Today's weigh in should be interesting.

I am weighing in late in the afternoon (I usually weigh in the morning) and I wore jeans today (usually wear yoga pants) but if I am up I will know why. I am afraid to go as I know I am down as my scale said 195 this morning but that won’t be the case after drinking 3 liters of water and having breakfast and lunch.

Hello All,
I've been hanging around and reading all your posts for the past few weeks and can't believe the great results and support you all have here. Because of all of you I officially joined and started IP on Tuesday (the cost of this program though is quite staggering but a an investment in me!). I'm confused because it seems like every coach has different general guidelines so I'm confused.

My coach says I should eat 5 packs a day, 1 must be from the restricted list. Says because of my weight I need more 'fuel' and that I won't be successful if I skip the 1 R and only have 4 packs a day. She also told me to increase to 3 cups of veggies (with salad) vs. 2 cups. Told me to limit my exercise, no cardio, for at least first week or 2 (so we're working on weight training and core strengthing again).

Only side effects I've had is light headedness. I'm still only using 4 packs/day but added the 1R yesterday, and what a huge energy boost I had that afternoon/evening. I started the morning with the 1R (chocolate pancake) today to see if that helps my day. Bought me a 56oz jug and fill it 2x's per day to get my water in (going to start adding sliced lemons to it). Oh...I found "skinny water" has 0cal/0carb/0fat and tastes like fruit punch - thats my 1 extra treat each day. Also, I havent found any WF dressing I like yet, but found their BBQ sauce, gonna try it tonite on chicken.

I also decided to 'premake' my packs in the morning, cover and refrig till I need them - everything comes out super cold and yummy - the spaghetti bolognese was great reheated yesterday over salad and very filling. Chicken soup - again, thanks to hints here, I blended with spinich, added s&p and it was a wonderful creamy spinich soup.

Can't wait till monday to weigh in - i'm afraid to step on my scale at home - I don't want to be disappointed - I've got a long road ahead but this one may be different...I don't feel alone..thanks to this forum.

My coach also told me to lay off the exercise for the first two weeks until my body adjusts.

Don't step on the scale at home! Sometimes numbers vary from scale to scale so you don't want to get disappointed. I too am fighting the challenge of wanting to weigh (and I'm only on my second day) but I'm going to try to hang in there.

Also, the Lindora bars are not manufactured by the same company as the IP bars ~~the ingredients are different even though the Nutrition Info Label may be similar. The ingredients are soooooooooo important.

Some of their products are very different, however, others are exactly the same thing. I have made two very large orders and for example on the hot chocolate and the BBQ soy nuts--the silver packet has like lot numbers and they have been identical to the ones I got from IP. Furthermore, I asked my coach and she said the same place makes these products under four different names yet they are the same. Yes, you do need to watch ingredients--some are not the same but some are and they are definitely not pure empty calories!!!

Only a few of Lindora's items contain aspartame. I have never bought any of those. Lindora's website allows you to check the ingredients before you buy anything. Someone on this forum checked with Ideal Protein, and she said that the caramel nut bar is indeed made by the same manufacturer. This is the only bar I use. Ideal Protein may not use aspartame, but they do use other sweeteners besides sucralose, especially acesulfame potassium. Ideal Protein's BBQ ridges have MSG, which many people are sensitive to. Many of Ideal Protein's bars have agave syrup, which has even more fructose than high fructose corn syrup and is not a healthy alternative to sugar. I'm just saying that Ideal Protein foods are not magic, and neither are Lindora foods. We need to check the ingredients on anything we order and choose wisely. If Ideal Protein foods were not so over priced, I would be glad to order solely from them. As it is, they are making a killing when they don't need to.

I have had the cheesecake, the custard pudding with toffee chips and the strawberry smoothie. I liked all of them the strawberry smoothie made me real nervous, it tasted so good. I kept looking at the box because it tasted so good---I found it had 5 grams of sugar and I freaked out but then when I looked at the IP bars they had 5 grams also. I also have the chicken soup now it is different from IP but has less calories but same protein. I did not order the tomato soup because I did not want anything with aspartme in it. I know it has saved me money and I am still losing weight---let me know what you think when you get your order.:dizzy::dizzy::dizzy:

I used to weigh in at 430 in the afternoon and I would bring my yoga pants with me to change in to...my coach would always laugh and say it would only matter for one week if I wore jeans because then every time after I could wear jeans and it would be the same...I still wore yoga pants every time lol.

This has been a huge confidence booster as I basically stopped looking at my weight or telling my husband my weight after I started weighing more than him. I rewarded myself with pedicure (yay for red toes) and a new pair of skinny jeans (size 10!!) for my trip to Seattle this weekend :) I also weigh 155 - which means I am halfway to my goal weight of 130 :broc:

That is so funny - I was afraid to say that was one of my "mini goals" but I was just thinking it this morning!!!! Congratulations! I hope to be there in a few weeks!
