I did another fast today. I made it past the 18 hours I was trying for. I made it to 19.5 which is good. The best part is I was not as hungry. I did start getting a pin headache but once I ate it was over. I did not over eat either. You were right Italiannie. The overeating is getting less and less.

Moozie I understand about not coming when you have slipped but that's why we're here. I use to do the same thing and just fall off the map. I am trying to break that cycle. I don't want a week to turn into months of missed progress.

Started a 24+ hour fast after lunch. Mostly because I ate BIG earlier in the day and just wanted to quit eating. Staying out of the kitchen, letting my kids make their own dinner tonight. In the morning, if I can get their breakfast done quickly, I can get right to work and avoid the kitchen altogether till tomorrow afternoon.

I did a 24-hour fast from last night until tonight and I already feel much better! One question though, it may be TMI for some, but I'm a nurse and nothing bothers me, so I'm going to ask anyway (lol) do any of you have diarrhea after you eat after a fast? this will happen for a few days for me until my body gets adjusted. I just wondered if it happened to anyone else.

Violet that hasn't happened to me. I just feel better instead of stuff. I do need a cleanse though. Maybe it is something you are eating during your off time.

Nope, it doesn't matter what I eat. I'm already gluten free so that's not the problem. It gets better after a couple of days. This happens when I start a new diet plan. I think my poor body goes into shock LOL!

Violet- I'm lactose intolerant but have the occasional shot of milk in coffee/tea and a bit of cheese on pasta and stuff. Usually such small portions don't affect me but I find that when I've been fasting, I'm much more sensitive to it. I've read on Leangains that doing IF you get more sensitive to caffeine so maybe there IS something in your post-fast meals that you're body's reacting against even if usually it wouldn't? Just a thought

Italienne & Moozie- I <3 Outnumbered!!! The kids are HILARIOUS. They're all so intelligent and I swear the girl is some kind of comedic prodigy...

I measured myself this morning (WI is tomorrow) just out of interest. I'm down about 3cm on my waist and belly (which is the first place I always lose) and 1cm everywhere else since my last measurements (new years day!)

It doesn't seem a lot but my only exercise is walking everywhere and the occasional dance session at uni so this is only from IFing!

I'm looking forward to my WI tomorrow to see how that's going. Hope everyone's having a good day!

Awesome results katy! The tape measure doesn't lie, so even if the scale doesn't show much of a loss, the tape measure does. Keep up the good work.

Violet I haven't had this problem, but I have noticed a change in timing and frequency.

Good job on your fast Mizzthing!

Moozie, congrats on sticking to a committment to be healthier, even through all you've been through. Life has a way of messing with us, we all will have off days (or longer), we just have to stick with it.

Why is it that all our holiday's revolve around food? E.g. Valentines day and sweets. At least we are holiday free until Memorial day (for the US peeps), which is good for the diet, not so good for my work sanity. Although I do get monday off for Presidents day. Gotta love government jobs.

Fasting today until 8 pm. Then I get to have blood work in the morning, to see how my lost weight and healthier lifestyle has affected my results! Hoping for good news! Won't know until the 28th though.

Have a great day everyone!

Hi Everyone!
Glad to see some new people.
I'm on the run today.

Violet - I have noticed that my digestive system has changed, but nothing that has caused concern or inconvenience. I do find that time will solve most problems with IF.

Mizz - Great job! Keep going.

Moozie - Glad your back!

Katylil - Welcome!

Geo- Good luck with your 24 hour fast. Let us know how you make out.

I'm sure I missed some people.
Have a great day!

Doing some blood sugar testing over the next couple days so I'm shooting for a 40-hour fast today. Started yesterday at 3. If I can make it past the 3-9 pm stretch, I'll be fine.

I found that it is really hard to limit portions after an active vacation (we want to Arizona - Utah NP and did a lot of hiking). I will read this forum during my fast just to have enough willpower

Thanks Italiannie and Wvu. I actually did good last night. No binging. I have been dibbling and dabbling with running and I will try going full on next week. I usually get ravenous when I run so I will try to tailor my running when I will eat and have my shakes.

Weighed this morning and down 4 for the week, so the weight is coming back off. I still can't wait to get out of this decade.

Congrats Missthingaling. 4 lbs is awesome! I have tried running, I enjoyed it some, but ended up getting sick a couple days and never got back to it.

Hi Princess Sophia. Good Luck and glad to meet you.

I so want to be more active too. I drive 2.5 hours to get to work and back each day (hr and 15 each way). By the time I get home and take care of my animals, do a few housecleaning tasks and have dinner it is time for bed. Maybe someday I will find a job closer to home and have some me time!

Thanks esmi for the well wishes on my bloodtests.
