Well, here's what I thought, for what it's worth:
Carrie's still my favorite, BUT I wasn't really impressed last night. I think she needs to be in the bottom three, NOT TO LOOSE, but to get the shock value Bo got last week and now he was ON FIRE this week. Carrie needs that wake up because last night it sounded like Dolly parton trying to do rap...just not her thing!! Also, we're running out of contestants and getting in the bottom three is getting easier and easier!! :eek: And, yes, Scott, the dern fool, picked the most perfect song to sing making him, once again, beating expectations. You know, it's not just the voice that makes someone a star...it's the whole package...talent, looks and personal background. The American Idol has to be someone we want our kids looking up to. I can just see some kid sitting around eating his cheesy poufs and slapping around his little sister and saying "I wanna be like Scott!" Well, that's maybe a stretch, but in contrast, I'd LOVE to have my daughter say she wants to be like Carrie!! :smug: Anyhow...I LOVED Vonzell...I knew when they said Seventies Dance Songs that that would be the ticket for Vonzell and she did AWESOME!! Overall, I still like Carrie better, even though she, too, is a bit cookie cutter, but Vonzell and Bo did the best in last night's performance. IMHO... Constantine did great, too, but my mom said he looked creapy with he eye makeup on. I agreed. Okay...coffee's calling me!! Bye!! Oh...my prediction for the bottom three... Scott, Anwar and Carrie or Anthony |
Yup, I'm afraid that after last night my girl Carrie will be in the bottom three tonight. As soon as they told her song choice I thought, "Um, hmmmm, bottom three for her!" Of course, I don't even really like that song when Donna Summer sings it--Left my cake in the rain, never have that recipe again? Please. Substance, people!!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that noticed Constantine's eye liner. I thought Bo did really well. He could drive me anywhere he wanted, that's fo sure!! Bottom three: Scott (going home!!) OK, so I don't know where the web-site is. Dang! I'm sorry, because I wanted to go back there myself. It has all the video clips from every show, including the results show. If I can find it again, I will definately post it here!

I thought Carrie was awful last night, but I think she has such a strong fan base that she won't be in the bottom three...here are my predictions: Scott, Anthony and Anwar...with Anthony going home!
I thought Bo was the best, and I agree that Constantine looked scary with that eye make-up. I still an not impressed with Vonzel...I'd like her to be sent home! |

I can't believe the stinky lounge lizard is STILL HERE!!! Next week for sure, right? Its weird how the voting goes...on the whole, I think that Anwar is more talented than Anthony...DEFINITELY SCOTT, for cryin out loud!! But there he is bumped off before icky man. I do like Anthony, though...I think if he were in a studio situation and had a chance to 'practice' and fine tune himself, he could be like a Jesse McCartney or, you know, a boy band kinda pop star. But I don't think he'll outlast Carrie, Constantine and Bo. But I bet he'll go places after he's bumped off.
I think Anwar could do well in the jazz/R&B sector. Scott, he'll do fine in a karaoke bar :lol: Anyhow...other than the fact that SCOTT is still around, any complaints about Anwar being bumped? I have an advantage from the torchure of finding out...I DVR it, find something to do while it's on, then I can 'skip to the end' and see exactly who got bumped without the torchure of Seacrest saying things like...and we'll find out after these 500 commercials. the show HAS to be rigged. has to be. no one can stand scott, yet he's still there? everyone LOVES bo and votes for him, but he was in the bottom 3 last week? something's terribly wrong...and i don't think it's the fans. it's gotta be rigged. |
I was watching the Tony Danza show this a.m. and Nadia was on it. Tony Danza mentioned that Anwar was gone. I really enjoyed watching Anwar and really prefer him to Scott or Anthony. He is definitely a more polished singer but I know by now that this show is not solely based on talent. Nadia said she chose songs she was passionate about and not ones that were necessarily popular and that may have been why she was voted off. Of course, I feel she has more talent than Scott or Anthony and even Anwar, I think, anyway. I will miss Anwar, though but not Scott! When is he going...I want to see his farewell show!

I am really not suprised Anwar got voted off. My Fiance sings " September" all the time at Karaoke. Both he and I looked at eachother and were like " OMG YOU DO THAT BETTER AT KARAOKE!!" I thought it was a poor choice of song, he should have busted out with a Stevie Wonder song, it would have been perfect for his voice!

Wasn't Bo a doll last night? His smile just melts me...(((aaaahhhh)))). Anyway....I was shocked to see Anwar go before Scott and Anthony. But did any of us vote??? I know I didn't, so I can't complain.....I think Scott did a good performance on Tuesday, but he still deserved to be in the bottom three, but Anthony definitely need to GO! :cool:

Ok - so I'm not going back and reading all 8 pages of posts, but I'm just jumping in!!
I agree - Scott and Anthony need to go... but they fit a genre that people are voting for. Scott really appeals to the "underdog" and "everyday" kind of guy. Even with the info about the domestic violence though? Anthony has a cute face and a neat story. He's the only real Pop guy up there - everyone else is Rock, Country or R&B. I really think it is all about genres and demographics! Ok - that's my 2 cents, just thought I'd chime in :) |
I have gotten to the point where I hate to even hear Scott talk. He needs elocution lessons :)
