Troy Glaus is there as well. He is yet to play a game this year following shoulder surgery. He can't throw a ball from 3rd to 1st so they are thinking about putting him in the outfield

Dang, they had it until that darn 2 run homerun in the 8th inning. Lucky for us the Giants lost too. We're still 1/2 a game up on them. One more game against the DBacks tonight, a day off, and then we play the Giants. Should be interesting.

Red Sox Nation did you hear that Chris Duncan has been traded for Lugo?

Duncan has been really bad at the plate recently. They were saying earlier today that he had been sent down to Memphis.

Yay! Rockies won today. Now a day of rest. I hate it when I don't have Rockies to watch everyday! Anyway, hope they are ready for the Giants.

Thanks Clydegirl... I'm going to read about that trade...
This is an interesting time of the season with the trade deadline approaching, we just put another pitcher on the DL, our knuckle baller Tim Wakefield with a sore back... he's 42... and Dice K is on DL for who knows how long... the staff is tired... Time to bring up the youngins for awhile... I'm hoping for some surprises... I would not want to be setting that rotation...

MY GUYS are looking good....need a pitcher though or the guys gotta get deeper in the game...bullpen cannot keep going so much...

What a game!?! Just got back a while ago. It was one of those edge of your seats kind of game.

The cardinals didnt do too shabby. Carpenter seemed to look tired at the 6th and I was surprised Pujols didnt do his usual hits.

Thanks to Lee we managed to steal this one from them.

Yesterday MANNY came out of the game after being hit on the hand with a pitch.

X-Rays negative....

held out of game today as a precaution...

of course it was MANNY BOBBLEHEAD DAY...

sold out.....

bases loaded in 6th....pinch hitter comes up....guess who?

1st pitch....

GRAND SLAM into leftfield bleachers...aka MANNYWOOD

EZ, I had to laugh about the injury and then he came back and hit a grand slam. (Well, not laughing too hard because you're 9 games ahead of us.)

It's been interesting to hear all of the trade rumors. Just stay away from our man, Helton!

Diane I'm tired hearing about Holliday here. There's been allsorts of speculation that he's coming here/not coming here.

We are playing a make up game tonight against the Nationals. Sometimes those games can be tricky for the Redbirds. Going up against an iffy pitcher and they can't get a hit off them.
