I MOD and ADMIN all over the Forum. I was quoting myself and the kind of post I'd like to make in response to dumb questions.
Gorgeous morning unfolding here. We are still below freezing in the mornings but it does warm up a bit by early afternoon. I had a lovely fire in the woodstove last night and sipped my Scotch while I planned my weekend.
Weather's been pretty decent here. I don't even wear a jacket at work now. Well, I better go blow something up. Been thinking about returning to college and getting an accounting degree. And, maybe chasing a few college boys around the campus.
So, we finished our blast today and we are heading down to tomorrow's blast to get a look at it and I see one of the trucks heading down with a tow bar attached to the back of it. We turn the hairpin to go to the bottom of the pit and see MY FREAKIN' HAUL TRUCK DEAD ON THE ROAD!!! No, no, no, no, no, no, no! I call Production Control and am told that the transmission is blown. No, no, no, no, no, Dear Lord in Heaven, please no!!
You see, we have a bunch of new trucks being built and they have been sidelining the older trucks that have any major break downs. I hate the new Cats. They suck big time!!! The Komatsus suck too!!! They are electric drive and have a nasty sounding whine, plus, they will go into a slide if someone so much as spits on the freakin' haul road.
I DON'T WANT A NEW STUPID TRUCK!!! I LOVE MY TRUCK!!!!!!!! I swear, when I get my hands on the little turd that killed my baby, I'm gonna wring his scrawny little neck, twist his spine into a pretzel, then, well then I'm gonna start inflicting some real pain on him!!!
Hi all! This has not been a great weekend so far. My husband and I are having a contest to see who can cough more and drag around the house more. We both have a cold that our son brought home. I think I had a fever overnight too, alternating between being hot and sweaty to freezing and shivering. Love it. Hopefully today will be better.
Operator, I see you're having some success on your quitting smoking goal!! Good for you!
hello all happy sunday. well all next i will not have DS he is going to spend monday - thursday with my mom then from there thursday-saturday he will be at the hubbys parents house. gotta love spring break
Hi all! This has not been a great weekend so far. My husband and I are having a contest to see who can cough more and drag around the house more. How big is your house? We both have a cold that our son brought home. Probably better than a stray dog! I think I had a fever overnight too, alternating between being hot and sweaty to freezing and shivering. You aren't sick dear...menopause has started! I know the signs from experience...I know... Love it. Hopefully today will be better.
