yeah but have we ever figured out what constitutes DEAD?
And if it is dead, and you post... is it then alive again? Or was it never dead in the first place... just stagnant & waiting for your reply?
If you post on a long dead thread, and no one replies... Are you still the threadkiller? Or just have bad timing?
Threadkiller seems to imply (to me) that you say something that causes it to be closed. That's killing a thread. No one is able to respond, the thread has been murdered.

Hmmm, I think if it's been "comatose" for more than seven days, it's going to have too much brain damage to be resuscitated and have any real quality of life How about: revived threads older than seven days dead are *ghosts* and can't be killed again? (just sent on into the light ).
Thread murder sounds more to me like you said something intentionally inflammatory with malice of forethought to end the life of the thread. Accidentally causing it's death by saying something that leaves everybody else speechless (either stunningly brilliant, or incredibly inane) would be thread killing (or would that be involuntary threadslaughter?)

So it can be "snow white" dead (easily revived if one of your "pool guys" comes along) or it can be "old yeller" dead and never coming back? One is in a "sleepy" state and can be revived the other is so gone that even the OP can't find it anymore??
