  • The original thread was about thread killing. It has taken many turns since then.
  • Quote: Well, it wouldn't be "an" odds. Odds is plural, so it would be an odd. An odd is a single, leftover piece of something, like a scrap of fabric. Short for "oddment."

Gods, I'm smart when I have internet access!

...and a little bit geeky/scary too.
Ah, see that makes more sense - Oddments and ends makes a better plural phrase. I used 'an' because I couldn't think of any other place (other than the sports book in a casino as SusanB pointed out) where the word 'odd' by itself was ever used in plural form

  • I am just glad that I can remember.
  • Okay, I'll admit it -- it made me sad to see everyones hard work sit for 12 horus without any attention, so I can't watch that thread that wouldn't die just disappear
  • Wow, it's slowed down today, and still in the low 300's...
  • Time to get up!
  • Good morning!
  • Have a great day!
  • Up early in California, huh?
  • I was wondering if I am the only one up.
  • It's not quite as early here- been waiting for the store to open, so now I'm off. Have a good one!
