THEY CAME TODAY!!!!
I just finished doing the cardio party. The nice UPS guy brought them just in time for me to try them out before my first student showed up. Even though I did a great spinning class today, I couldn't resist trying it out!!!! I had a blast, and I got a great workout also. I am so glad I ordered these. Now my workouts at home will be so much better. Sorry if this sounds overboard, but I've been burned out on my other dvd's. |
Doing the videos are fun but the first thing i learn with every new tj workout is dont think ur will get all the steps with the first workout but you will get them. Every time i start a new video i do a lot of rewinding but but the second or third try i have them memorized and its fun again, if you order cardio party remix you will really see what i mean the pace is three time the 20 min but fun.

I just want to let you know that you are the reason I bought it and found this site too. I was on Yahoo doing a search for more info on TJ and found this thread. I want to say a big THANK YOU! I actually look forward to working out now. I bought all of the dvd's they sold including the extras at checkout and I'm glad I did. I was a little nervous about spending all the money on something I wasn't sure I could do, but again, because of you I did. One more question....do you go on WOWY to log your workouts? I went in there and set my acct up, said that my workout was TJ and it gave me a workout calendar. I like that feature, but I'm curious about why they have me resting for 3 days. I started on Monday and it says that I should rest today (which I didn't), tomorrow and Sunday. Any idea why? 3 days seems like an awful long time to go without working out. Just curious if you have any more words of wisdom for me. Thanks again! Diane |
They do set up the calendar as the beginning calendar like the book, but you can alter you calendar any way you see fit, I do go on wowy every day and i have a six day rotation instead of 5. For me its like partners in motivation and see the green x's for days done is inspiring. My wowy name is raiyne7795, My name is Debbie

Hi Debbie! Thanks for the info. I'm new to the WOWY site. I have been modifying it, but I was just curious as to why there would be such a big gap. I would think that if they only want you to work out 4 or 5 days a week, that the rest days wouldn't be in a row. Oh well, I'm going to workout the way I want anyway. I like to see the x's too! How does that workout buddy thing work?
I'm assuming from your screen name that you live in Chicago? I'm not that far away from you. We are in Wadsworth (Waukegan). Takes about 45 mins to get to Chicago in good traffic (which is abnormal ;) ) It's nice to meet you, Debbie! Diane |
Wow Diane. Thank you so much for your post and your thanks. I'm just glad you like it. You just made my day. I'm so glad I purchased these workouts too. I like to workout anyway but when Turbo Jam goes way above that - it makes it even that more awesome. And I am so not a dancer - which was one reason I probably would have held back from ordering them but something told me I needed to and whatever was telling me, was right.
There should be four new ones coming out at the end of March. They were going to release two in February but I guess they decided to do all four together and they are going to offer a discount with it more then likely. I would sign on to get Beachbody's newsletter if you don't already and I will be sure to post more here when I get more information. :) I do use Wowy - I started using it in January when they were giving a $100 away each day. Unfortunately I never won but it was fun to do. Sometimes now I forget though. I'm glad Debbie explained the calendar thing - I don't have it telling me when I should or shouldn't workout but I don't know how I got it to do that. I post to the Let the Party Begin in the message boards for Turbo Jam - Chalene, Janelle, Monica, Holly, Chicken George and many others from TJ post there too so if you get a chance, check it out. There are a lot of great people there. The posts move very fast so it can be hard to keep up. I'm a speed reader and I know I miss lots of things. I also like to visit Chalene's log. Thanks again Diane. I'm am so glad you are enjoying Turbo Jam. I did Cardio Party Remix last night and I found some extra energy somewhere and really pumped it up. Chalene does TWO turbo's back to back - TWO in that one . . . in 30 minutes I can burn over 500 calories!!!! Can't beat that. The first time I did that workout though I thought she was nuts, not because there are two but because they are back to back. Then she says you can rewind and have four turbos . . . ummmmm . . . NOT. Maybe someday I'll be brave enough to try three, then the four . . . I love the football move. That is my favorite of the turbo moves. Sometimes though I can feel things shaking in the back that wakes me up to the fact that I have alot of extra weight to get rid of. Okay, I'm too talkative through the typing of my keys tonight. I'll shut up. Have a great weekend! Rachelle |
Hello, everyone!
I'm new here. My name is Susan. Two years ago I had gastric bypass surgery. I'm down by 180 pounds. Now I am working hard to lose the last 40 to 50 pounds. I belonged to a gym, but as a teacher it is hard to maintain any schedule so I'm thinking of dropping my membership. I have been using a DVD series of power walk that I like. Also, I am using a series of exercises that was featured in the March issue of O. It's been a good workout! However, I am looking for more. I noticed an infomercial for TurboJam this morning. In looking for complaints or recs for the program I searched the web and came across this site. I've read a few of your posts from January. Now that a few months have gone by, how does everyone still feel about the program? And besides the exercise, what do you think of the diet program? Thanks! I can't wait to checkout the rest of this site! Susan http://www.3fatchicks.net/img/tulip-...5/130/180/.png |

A trainer told me that when you work the muscles hard you need a day of rest for them. Hence I only do the weights and exercises every other day. That may be the reason they work in days of rest. My fear, of course, is that I am not burning enough calories. Susan http://www.3fatchicks.net/img/tulip-...5/130/180/.png |
Rachelle - What are the 4 new ones that are coming out in March? I got a lot of dvd's in my shipment (including a YBB dvd, which I don't particularly like). I looked on the link that you provided in an earlier post to buy the individual dvds. It looks like I got all of them. Of course, I would like to get through the ones I have before I get more since I just started this workout. I'm going to be just moving out of the 20 min one next week ;) .
Too funny with the jiggle comment! I feel the same way, like when I'm doing the jump rope and the 7 step. Just makes me want to work harder. I went in a message thread for TJ last night, but didn't get very far. It had 95 pages to it! I just skimmed a little to look at a couple comments made my Chalene. I would have been up all night and only got through a portion of the posts! There are a lot of people out there that like TJ, that's for sure. As I said before, I just started this on Monday, but my scale is moving in the right direction this week already. It must be kick starting my metabolism. Yippee :carrot: Susan - Welcome to the site! Looks like you found it the same way I did. You'll get a lot of info and support for a lot of smart people. I do understand the idea of a rest day and I do plan on giving myself one which may be today, but I just can't understand why they would want you to rest for 3 days in a row. My plan is to work out 6 days and rest 1, not 4 and 3. This will be my rest day and I guarantee I'll end up feeling guilty about not working out. It's a sickness, I know ;) I can't help you on the diet. I'm not doing it, but it is really close to the diet that I am currently on anyway. It would be very easy to do theirs. It's just healthy foods in smaller portions. I recommend TJ and am seeing some results on the scale after just 5 workouts! It is a lot of fun and I'm glad I ordered it. You guys have a great weekend! Thanks Sweetpea! I've been watching this thread for 3 days and finally gave in and ordered after sweetpea lposted this discount. I was just going to order the regular package but then I got all these offers:rolleyes: and I don't know what came over me but I ordered: Turbo Jam regular package Turbo Jam Deluxe package Lifetime dvd replacement My beachbody support club which gives me free support for 30 days and free $25 beach body dollars. I can't believe I just spent that much on videos. The funny thing is, I've never seen the infomercial! I have read tons of good feedback so I hope I like it. I work out at the gym 5 times a week and I will probably do these videos 3 times a week. I've never really stayed with a video. I like taebo but its way too fast for me. I can do pilates no problem but it seems boring sometimes. I can't really dance so I hope this video isn't too dancy. Please tell me I made a good choice? Eta: I forgot to ask what to do with my free $25 beach body dollars? |
Stephanie, you'll love it.
I was doing the workouts faithfully and stopped doing it (because I'm a do-do bird) and I did it yesterday and remembered how much I love it. It really is tons of fun. I love the music. |

I still have my $25 too. Not sure what to do with it either. I was thinking of getting the Slim in 6, but haven't yet. I was originally thinking of YBB, but they give you a free dvd with your TJ. It's called Hip Hop Abs. I don't know about the rest of YBB dvds, but I guarantee I can't do that one. I'm not much of a dancer and that is a whole lot of it. I don't hip hop....;) Good luck and have fun with the TJ! Diane |

I have slim in 6! I used it probably 3 times. lol Maybe, I'll get it out and try it again. It didn't mention when I was checking out that I'd be getting a ybb dvd. That would be cool! Has anyone done the power 90? What about the other products they sell.. like powders and stuff? |
Not sure what to do with it either. I was thinking of getting the Slim in 6, but haven't yet.
Diane[/QUOTE] I have Slim in 6:?: I didn't care for it that much, but on the other hand I have a few friends that love it.:carrot: I'm still trying to decide if I want to list it on ebay or not. SweetPea29704 |
